First, you advised us to delete our inbox, but because of the “Communicate with online services” issue we cannot even enter the inbox, and some people cannot easily delete their inbox at all.
I myself once took the time to delete emails one by one when I had a lot of messages in my inbox, and it took around 1 to 1.5 hours.Additionally, because of this inbox issue, when I try to create a session to play F1 25 with a friend, it can take more than 5 minutes, or sometimes I get an NM8 error and the session is not created at all.
I have to try creating the session at least 1-2 more times before it finally works.But when I empty the inbox and create a session, the session is created within 1 minute.
I think the inbox is using unnecessary connections when creating sessions, racing, and doing other activities.
So I believe it would be much better if these unnecessary connections could be removed. - Cpayne322 months agoHero+

Im writing this to express my continued frustration with this unresolved issue. The troubleshooting steps provided so far, including clearing my inbox and applying the suggested fixes, have not resolved the problem.
At this point, I feel my time has been wasted by repeated instructions that have not produced any meaningful result. The issue remains, and I am no longer willing to continue with ineffective troubleshooting.
I am requesting a refund for this purchase. Please escalate this case to the appropriate team and confirm the next steps for processing the refund.

We’re sorry for the frustration this issue has caused. While the team continues to look into it, players affected can try the following workaround:
- Ensure that all messages in your in‑game inbox are deleted.
- Wait until the “Communicating with online services” message in the top‑right corner disappears. This may take 1–2 minutes, depending on your connection.
- Once the message clears, the game should connect as expected.

The video shows 100 unread items in your mail. I had this problem with only 15 and clearing mail and accepting awards etc cleared it up immediately.

Still happening man - I havent been able to race online for the past 2 weeks at all!! And missed 7 league races - doesnt load F1 world data - constant state of “Connecting to online services” this is a joke - paid money for a game I cant even play — this needs sorting —- before is said yes I have done all of the following:
Deleted and reinstalled game / cleared cache / reset my ps5 4 different ways INC of safe mode / reset my network / have spoken to my network provider and been assured its not a network issue / tried deleting in game mail etc - created a separate ps5 account + new ea account yet same outcome of cannot load world data nor connect to online services - its a joke

Just wanted to share how I was able to get the infinite "Communicating with online services" message to clear since EA support was no help. Turns out a corrupt Co-Op career invitation a friend sent was locking up my account and since I couldn't access the mailbox to clear the invitation I was stuck. Doing a network disconnect/reconnect while the game was loaded would allow me to access some online function like F1 World events but the player hub and mailbox would still lock the game up. What finally worked for me was closing the game removing the friend that sent the request and then loading back into the game. This allowed me to access the mailbox and clear the invitation that was causing the issue. Everything has been working great since this. Hope this helps someone
