Corrupted Save

Lost 211 hours of F125 progress due to corrupted save.  Shut down game with normal method at 10:52 PM last night, game will no longer load today unless I start with a brand new save, wiping out all progress.

Suggestions:

1.  Allow multiple save slots.  The game save files are only a few MB, why force users to rely on data integrity in a single file that, if corrupted, will completely wipe out their game?

2.  Implement cloud saves.  The game is constantly requiring me to be connected to the server to function, so why can't the save be in the cloud, as with so many other live service games?

This is just a poor user experience due to lack of basic foresight.
