F1 25 – FPS locked at 30 during races (menu runs at high FPS)
TL;DR:
Game locks at 30 FPS during races in F1 25 while menu runs at 200–240 FPS. V‑Sync is off, FPS limit is unlimited, all settings correct. Tried reinstall, disconnecting gamepad, disabling overlays, restarting sessions — nothing fixes it. Game is unplayable in races.
Description:
While playing F1 25, my game locks at 30 FPS during races.
In the main menu, I get stable 200–240 FPS depending on settings and hardware.
The issue occurs only when driving (practice, qualifying, or race) — FPS drops to exactly 30 and stays there regardless of settings.
All settings have been checked:
V-Sync = Off
Frame Rate Limit = Unlimited
Config XML file is correctly configured
I have tried:
Disconnecting the gamepad (playing only with keyboard)
Restarting the session
Reinstalling the game
Disabling overlays (Discord, Xbox Game Bar, GeForce Experience)
Verifying file integrity
Nothing fixes the problem.
Expected behavior:
The game should run at FPS according to system performance (e.g., 120–200 FPS), not be locked at 30 FPS.
Current behavior:
Races are always capped at 30 FPS, even at the lowest settings, making the game unplayable.
Notes:
According to forums and Reddit, multiple players experience this bug. It seems to be an internal issue with the game rather than a user configuration problem.
