This bug has been reported and really needs fixing asap, because it kills races.

EA_Groguet Disabling pit release assist only affects me, not my teammate. He is still held up in the pits.
How has this still not been fixed... It's been over a month.
I can see why they are struggling. I haven’t had this bug yet.

I play with everything off as well. But the problem still happens when your AI teammate pits.
Just to make it worse.
My son plays pit assist off and pit release off and no assists on xbox, never had the issue.
I play pit assist on, pit release on, all assists but steering, never had the issue.
If you disable pit release assist then it still happens to your AI teammate.
