Can you share with us your save game file, please? The team is trying to reproduce the issue with your instructions and a save game could help a lot.

Screenshots of pit release assist, simulation settings, rules/flags and career settings are attached with a link to to a video of my teammmate or myself being held up in the pits.
Edit: I tried without the pit release assit on and they still got held up when there was space for them to rejoin. There was a pitstop error heforehand as you can see in the Video here.
Reattching the screenshot and the save file here as I can't upload a zip file. This is now more impacting my team mate more than me after turning the pit release assist off.
