When playing F125 local multiplayer on ps5 there is no in game sound. The sound works in the menus, but we get into a vs race and it is silent. All settings are on default and there’s no issue with tv speakers.

Yeah me too, i was playing normal career mode, sound was normal, switched to local 2 player, set up 4 races and no in game audio, drs beeps on controller as with lights out. Quit to menu and sound comes back? 1st time this has happened, but have played this mode a few times previously with no sound issue. All sound settings are default with or without additional speakers and still the same issue!
Bit of a mickey take given the price of the game and the console, shouldn't really have these issues these days! Please fix!
