Excessive tyre wear for controller players is ridiculous. This is not an issue for me just because it’s a “disadvantage” for me personally, but this is bothering other controller players which I know, also.
I’ve been playing the game for nearly a decade and I understand that the wheel is slightly more smooth with regard to steering, than the smoothest controller players but this it has never been as bad as it is on f1 25. I feel I am very smooth when it comes to steering and I have 1-2% extra tyre wear per lap compared to wheel drivers.
I have been racing in pretty high level leagues since f1 2020 with a lot of experience and understanding of the game, and I know for a fact that f1 25 does not make sense. I used to be much faster than many wheel drivers over the years, even with a little bit more tyre wear by the end of the race on previous games, yet this year I reach puncture territory 3-5 laps before wheel drivers which does not allow me to compete, realistically. This is not about me “winning”, this new concept has just taken out the fun in the competitive feeling of going into a race with other drivers. I may qualify in the top 3 and I can easily predict I’ll finish outside the top 5 when on previous years I could start at the back of the grid in many different leagues and make it to the front by the end of the race. No chance is that ever happening now as this game completely disregards a drivers skill, when what’s important is if you’re using a wheel or controller. Pretty unfair
