Dear F1 25 Support Team,
I’m writing to report a serious issue with the force feedback (FFB) implementation in F1 25 when using direct drive wheels.
I am currently using a Simagic Alpha EVO 12Nm wheelbase, and the force feedback in the game feels extremely notchy and stepped, with a lack of smoothness that makes it nearly unusable for serious sim racing. This is not an isolated case—I've gone to a professional sim equipment retailer, to thoroughly test the hardware.
There, we re-tested my own equipment and also tried other direct drive wheels, including models from Conspit and Fanatec. Unfortunately, the problem persisted across all setups when using F1 25, indicating that this is not a hardware or driver issue, but rather a compatibility or software issue with the game’s FFB engine itself.
For reference, the FFB works flawlessly in other racing sims such as iRacing, Assetto Corsa, and ACC, so I’m confident that the issue lies with how F1 25 handles FFB on direct drive wheels.
This is a major problem for the sim racing community, especially for users with higher-end equipment. I hope your team can escalate this issue for urgent investigation and resolution.
