New Patch v1.12 Issue Logitech G923
Hello EA Support Team, I’ve encountered a serious issue after installing the v1.12 update of F1 2025. My Logitech G923 wheel now produces a constant grinding / motor noise any time the game is running. The sound is persistent - even when idling in menus - and is clearly audible through the system. This issue does not occur in other racing titles (e.g. iRacing, Forza, Assetto Corsa), which suggests the fault is tied to F1 2025’s software or how it interacts with the wheel. Details & Observations Wheel model: Logitech G923 Game version: F1 2025 – v1.12 Behavior: Constant grinding or motor “brush / gear” noise, sometimes exacerbated when making small steering corrections or crossing curbs Comparison: Wheel is silent (normal haptics, no grinding) in other sim / racing games Troubleshooting steps tried (so far): • Unplugging & replugging the wheel • Disabling vibration / force feedback settings • Confirming wheel is functioning normally in other games • Verifying game files / reinstalling the patch Now the game is 100% unplayable as opposed to before the patch. Could you please investigate this as a potential bug introduced in patch v1.12 that affects the G923’s force feedback / motor control. I would appreciate: A confirmation of whether your engineering team is aware of this issue A timeline or plan for a fix or mitigation Instructions on any settings tweaks or temporary workarounds to disable or reduce the grinding noise in the meantimeLogitech G923 Problem
I have just purchased a Logitech G923 to replace my old Logitech G29 wheel which has worked with no problems at all since I purchased it 8 or 9 years ago. I bought the new wheel to take advantage of the Trueforce technology. I run it with F1 25 (ver. 1.5) on a PC. When starting any session in F1 25, my new wheel works properly & all is well until I have to use the Rewind feature (which, unfortunately is quite often!). As soon as I start racing again the wheel does not feel quite as good & sounds awful all the time. Instead of being smooth & quiet when running it sounds as if the internal motors are full of sand/grit & vibrates my desk, making loud, unpleasant noises. When I run over rumble strips it feels nothing like running over the kerbs. Before using the rewind button, when I run over a kerb it sounds & feels exactly what you would expect this to feel like & what it is obviously supposed to be like. The awful sounds & poor feel then continues for the rest of the session no matter what I try. The only ways I have found to revert back to the proper feel are:- 1 Restarting the session 2 Leaving the track I am on & going to another circuit 3 Unplugging the wheel from the USB socket & then plugging it in again. This works during the current session but is obviously annoying to have to do this each time I use the Rewind button. It does enable me to continue my current session with the wheel working properly. 4 Closing & restarting the program. It therefore appears to me that there is a bug somewhere that is introduced in the software that controls the wheel as soon as the Rewind button is pressed. Other than this issue, the game has run perfectly for me from the day it was released. I presume my problem is easy to reproduce at your end & await comment from you as soon as possible in the hope that the issue can be solved & I can enjoy years of us from the G923, just as I have from my G29. Thank you in advance. Lee Tucker800Views15likes26CommentsThrustmaster t248 wheel xboxseries x pc
Had f1 2022 /2024/ worked on these with no problems on pc.and xboxseries x. Bought the f1 2025 fronm steam to have no connection at all for the thrustmaster T248. Not even picks it's connected. Update on T248 upto date with the latest firmware to still no connection looked on the forums in steam and many people with the T248 have got the same issues from months ago.And I can't believe that you've not addressed this issue. All my latest games La mans ultimate automobilista 2 assetto corsa competizione etc etc work fine .I can't believe why you haven't tested all peripherals fir this game before releasing it. Well I've got a refund and want be buying anymore EA driving games anymore shouldn't have got rid of codemastersT818 / SF1000 Working great and all of a sudden.
Like the title says i have a T818 and SF1000 combo. Was working great until today. I found that my wheel wasn't centered and tryed to center it with the logitech software but same issue. When in calibration menu of F1 2025 i turn the wheel to the left and it register 0, -1, -2, -3 etc to -100. But here is there thing when i go to the RIGHT it input like this. 0, -5, -4, -3, -2, -1, 0, +1, +2, +3, etc to +100. Like if i turn my wheel to the right for a short moment and goes right... The feeling of '' deadzone almost. Its really weird as anyone had this problem?? I tryed doing update, restart game, recalibrate but still nothing...Frame Drops While Connecting a Wheelbase
I am experiencing a problem that when I use my wheelbase my fps go down from +300fps to 95-100fps with stuttering. I first thought that it was an issue with my wheelbase but searching in this forum there are more people experiencing this issue with differents wheelbases. I am trying to compete in some leagues and as you could imagine have this frame drops and stuttering ruin my game experience and my lap time. Not just me, but all the people that might be having the same issue. I have tried everything in my hands to resolve this. Clean Drivers Reinstall Reinstall F125/Verify Integrity Reinstall Wheelbase Drivers Reinstall Windows Closed Wheelbase App Changing usb ports for the wheelbase The only thing that works is shutting down my wheelbase, but when i power it up again the fps go down to 100, even without force feedback at all System: AMD Ryzen 9 9900x AMD Radeon RX9070XT 32GB RAM DDR5 6000Mhz 1TB Samsung 980Pro Wheelbase: Asetek Invicta Wheelbase Asetek Invicta THORP I Pedals Forte® Formula Button Box I have attached a video where i start having the wheelbase connected, after i shut it down the gpu usage and fps goes up to what it should be. During a league race yesterday (Zandvoort) - on 4 occasions I lost complete Force Feedback, TrueForce and any feel from the wheel. I had to restart it MidRace in order to get any feel back. It happens when touching the Outside Entry kerb of T2. The wheel is set to 8nm of Torque so isn't going over Peak (11nm). I do have footage of this from yesterdays race but is there any known issue with this?Force Feedback and steering stops working
F125 currently unplayable for me since latest update on PC/Logitech G29. Force feedback and steering will be working. Steering will then randomly stop working when driving. Happens every time after using rewind. If I rewind again it will seemingly remember previous wheel movements, like they have been cached and car will veer all over the place. Rewind again and steering is not working. Rewind again and I get the built up wheel movements happening all at once again. Pause/unpause sometimes fixes it for a bit. Steering used to not be working when I first pull out of pit lane and would have to pause and unpause game. It would work fine from then on for the rest of the time the game was open. Nvidia drivers up to date. Windows 11 up to date. Logitech hub/drivers up to date. Wheel and force feedback working fine in other games, Assetto Corsa Evo, Assetto Corsa Competitzione, BeamNG. Can 100% say this is not a hardware or dodgy wire type issue.
