I play on the PS5 Slim, and the camera effects of rain splashes or tire spray from the car in front are very small. You can clearly see the car in front in heavy rain. The spray coming from the car in front needs to be increased, as it was in F1 2020. As you get closer to the car in front, more spray appears, which makes it more difficult and becomes more challenging. With today's visibility, it's very easy to drive behind a car even on difficulty 110.

I also miss proper spray and hardly being able to see in heavy rain. Unfortunately I think what we used to have until around 2020 is gone for good for what - in my opinion - could be one of two reasons (or both):
- The EGO game engine is old and being stretched to its limits. To find performance for other aspects of the game they have added over the years and higher end systems, they had to sacrifice performance elsewhere....rain/spray effects are perhaps something they chose sacrifice.
and/or
- To appease a growing casual player base who would complain about not being able to see in wet races.
