unlock engineering in F1 World

I says drive a race with a rare or better upgrade.  I have done this with rare, epic, legendary, and unique upgrades.  I have driven around 20 races but this goal cannot be selected nor is it ever fulfilled.  I think on the PS5 anyway, it may be a bug.
