PC hard freeze (system lockup) after 1-2 minutes in menus

  • Platform: PC (Steam)
  • OS: Windows 11 64-Bit (fully updated)
  • Cpu: Intel Core i5-12400F
  • GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT (WHQL driver, clean DDU install)
  • RAM: 16 GB DDR4

Issue Description:The game causes a complete system hard freeze (video + audio lockup, no BSOD, no recovery) after ~1-2 minutes. This happens in menus / ilde state, not necessarily during a match. PC becomes fully unrsponsive and requires a hard reboot.

Frequecy: Always (100% reproducible)

Steps to Reproduce:
  1. Launch EA SPORTS FC 26 via Steam
  2. Reach main menu
  3. Do nothing / stay idle for 1-2 minutes
  4. System hard freezes completely

Expected Result: Game should remain stable in menus.

Actual Result: Full system hard lock (GPU driver deadlock).

Troubleshooting already done:
  • Clean GPU driver reinstall using DDU (WHQL driver)
  • EA Anti-Cheat repair & reinstall
  • Clean boot (only EA + Steam services)
  • Disabled overlays, Anti-Lag, Enhanced Sync, FreeSync
  • Forced DX11
  • Disabled HAGS and MPO
  • OneDrive documents sync disabled
  • Game files repaired
  • Issue occurs only in FC 26, other games stable

Additional Notes (VERY IMPORTANT): This appears to be a compatibility issue between EA Anti-Cheat, Windows 11 and AMD RX 6000 GPUs. Same hardware runs FC 26 stable on Windows 10.
