Controller Issue

I've just bought EA FC 26; it launches perfectly, executes, etc. But when I enter a match/training, it wants me to use a controller and refuses to work with a keyboard/mouse despite them working perfectly in the menu. I have disconnected all controllers, but it still has the left thumb stick icon as on the screenshot. Troubleshoot also told me that I should select the preferred input device, but the setting isn't in the place described. I've done all troubleshooting suggested by your support team as well as external troubleshooting.
