Error When Editing Lineup

You can also view the player card and select promote to starter and this will also work and atleast you will be able to add your new players to your team and kick the last player in that position out.

Same here I added megatron and now my lineup is unplayable. It’s been like that since Thursday, I tried everything. Even redownloading the game and deleting everything, even cleared up space in the drive, restarting, etc

It's laughable at this point.

Sooo.... the answer is a straight EA kick in the old gen balls... there are 98 ASA players showing a blank abilities spot that's only for new gen... put them in ur lineup...ur **bleep**ed...(I'm hearing anyone besides ward & edwards)  if you do you have to quick sell that free 98 you worked for... delete the game... re-download the game & voila...it's like it never happened...or wait for EA to give af & patch (good luck)....i bailed on the 98... and that's wa worked for me... I'll figure out another way to improve that spot later... in the meantime FU EA

For the devs looking into this: I’m on an older platform (XBox One) and I’ve added multiple 98 All Star Athletes to my roster. Some of them seem to have an ability bucket all the way at the end of the row that shows up as empty. I think those abilities that only work on the newer consoles are what created this bug for all of us on the older consoles.

Same happens to me right now I'll do best overall which I'm running the athlete Chem.  And then to change off or def I'll add guys by promoting guys to starters from my item shop until they fix it
