The latest update seems to have broken the scoreboards in franchise mode. Every single game I enter, whether it's in an online or offline franchise, has one of the team's logos replaced with the NFL shield logo. This is completely immersion-breaking. Example is attached.
Mind directing us how to get a refund for a broken feature that wasn’t in the game when we paid for it? As on brand, I don’t expect a response for at least a month if at all. So thanks EA for scamming people out of the closest football simulation we will get, too bad it’s been MILES away from that and I don’t have hope it will get better.
Is EA even paying attention to these forums? How long has this been going on for? I've also reported bugs about how the stats shown in the HUD don't match the stats being recorded for your season. How in your superstar season recap your passing yards are capped at 6,641 (or something like that) even though they were much higher. And more. But these bugs still persist! I'm a software engineer who works for a major international brand. I can guarantee you, if we got bug reports like this, we wouldn't have waited this long to address these fixes. At the very least, we would have responded to the user feedback and let them know we're trying to correct the problem. I'm about to report a bug where the system doesn't properly recognize forward progress. The NPC that catches the ball (in superstar mode) gets pushed backwards after reaching the first down, and they give my team a loss of yards! I don't have much faith they'll pay attention to that either.
That's incorrect...this not being a bug, that is. Because it isn't just OUR teams. It's the computer teams too. Basically, whoever is in the home team slot. If MY team is the visitor team, I see the logo. If my team is the HOME team, I do not see the logo. The computer team...if they're the home team, no logo. It IS A BUG.
I saw in here that this got marked as NOT A BUG. However, it's not just OUR team that doesn't show the logo. In Superstar Mode, it's WHO EVER IS THE HOME TEAM, that doesn't show the logo. EA_Kent said that it's a setting. Maybe there IS a setting related to that. But then why does my logo always appear if I'm the VISITOR, but DOES NOT show when I'M THE HOME TEAM. And why does the missing logo affect the computer's team? THE A.I. doesn't have a settings screen that it can log in to and change it's appearance, lol. The settings screen is only for human players, lol.
EA_Kent If it's not a bug and a design decision, then that's even worse.
There's no reason for a Team Pass logo to show up in Franchise mode. And as mentioned directly above, the Team Pass logo replaces the Home team, not necessarily the user team. But again, there's absolutely no reason for a Team Pass logo to appear in Franchise mode.
I really hope this gets fixed soon. Or, at the very least, let us opt out of the Team Pass stuff. Most of us Franchise users don't care about it.
EA_Kenthere's proof that this IS A BUG. I just played two games in superstar mode. One game I was the home team, the second game I was the visitor. Notice that when I am the home team, my Detroit Lions logo is missing (not a custom logo - just the normal official Detroit Lions logo). But...notice in the second game, I am the visitor. I can see my logo again, but now the home team (the Jaguars) have a missing logo. It's a bug where the home team's logo disappears. Not just in the bar across the bottom, but also when you get the overlay after a touchdown. One place. I've noticed, it shows the logo correctly, every time that I can remember, is the half time cut scene. But everywhere else...no logo for the home team.
lowerwolf- I wonder if maybe we should open up a new bug report since this got marked as "Not a Bug", maybe they'll just ignore it now? 🤷♂️
EA_Kent So, based on the comments about Team Pass, I went in and set my team pass logo and background. And now the home team shows up properly in Superstar Mode games; albeit with a non-official Detroit Lions logo. However, that doesn't change the fact that this is a bug and my game shouldn't default to erasing the default official logo of the team I'm playing. Team Pass, as mentioned by lowerwolf shouldn't be affecting Superstar or Franchise mode. And it definitely shouldn't be affecting the computer's teams. And it doesn't make sense that I get my logo when I'm the visitor but not when I'm the home team. And furthermore, I shouldn't have to set some custom team logo that I purchased, just to see a non-blank card in my Superstar Mode games. I don't want the custom looks and backgrounds. I just want the normal official Detroit Lions logo and look that you would see in a real-life broadcast game.
If Team Pass is supposed to help people customize the look of the teams they play in Franchise Mode or Superstar Mode...okay, that's fine I guess, but it should be optional. It shouldn't be forced on them after an update because it blanks out the normal official logos. And...in Team Pass I chose the Lions as my team. But what happens, in Superstar Mode, if I decide I want my player to sign with the Chiefs? Does that mean I'm going to see that weird, stylized, Detroit Lions logo show up in the score bar, even though I'm playing the Chiefs? That doesn't make sense. And...these team pass logos are premium content that I have to buy. Why in the world would your UI/UX team make a design where you can't even see the normal logo of a team, and your only two choices are: purchase a non-official logo, or have a blank tile, with the default being a blank tile? Also, as I've mentioned several times: Even if all the above were somehow true, it shouldn't apply to the computer's team as well, and it shouldn't apply only to the home team's slot, not the visitors.

I know EA_Kent is just the messenger, but his response really does feel like an FU from EA to the non-MUT players, at least to me it does.
I just can't fathom people actually thought it was a good idea to have a Team Pass logo follow you around in primarily offline modes. Add in it's only for home teams, and it has to be a bug. If anybody at EA is actually reading this, it really needs to be fixed ASAP.
I said earlier, at the very least, let us opt out of the Team Pass BS if you're not going to bother to fix it.
After playing the PS4 version of MLB The Show 21 for more than a year, I purchased the PS5 version in November of 2022. I noticed a bug with the Braves uniforms and submitted a bug report. Keep in mind, MLB 22 had been out for six months at this point, and I'm sure the team was hard at work on 23. So the idea that they would go back and fix something from a game that came out 18 months earlier was foolhardy.
Yet two weeks later, I had an email from someone at Sony telling me it had been fixed. And lo and behold, they had released a patch to fix it.
Compare that with EA's reaction to this bug (and yes it IS a bug).
