Auto Backskating is off but still does it 50% of the time

Please fix this, it is infuriating. I've always played with auto back skate off, and in this years NHL 25 game, no matter how many times I try and reset the setting turn it on and back off again, my players will sometimes let me choose when to backskate, or they'll just randomly start doing it on their own and I cannot override it. For example I'll be chasing down the puck carrier full sprint from BEHIND THEM as they skate toward my own end and net, and my player will stop full sprinting and start auto backskating even though I am behind them  as they skate past me because my stupid **bleep** character is now facing the complete wrong direction due to this bug and now I cannot catch up. Please fix this.
