Can't select position in EASHL if a wired controller is plugged in

If I am using a wireless controller (I was using an Xbox Elite Series 2 controller), and there is a wired controller plugged into the xbox (it was the Gamesir G7 SE), at the position select screen I am not able to use my controller to select a different position (LW,C,D,skt, etc...), and pressing the A button also does nothing.

If I unplug the wired controller then I am able to select the position I want to play.
