Wildcard Scoring Issue

When doing 3s mode for the past couple of times when winning matches I receive 500 or 600 points instead of the 1000. If the number of goals matters more than the score (+2s, -1s) then why have the mode at all. Attached I won 7-6 but received 500 points.
