umbrella leaf not properly protecting spikeweeds

unlike with all other plants, the spikeweed/chainsawgrass line of plants are still destroyed by projectiles that are blocked by umbrella leaf such as saganaki blasts and lightning strikes despite umbrella leaf's ability activating
