Bailing/ragdolling at random times

I have been attempting a bearing mission on Grom Island that takes you through the spillway. At random points around the bridge specifically, I will land correctly, either on the bridge or after it, and bounce for no reason, causing an error message. Incredibly frustrating when I know if I landed it anywhere else, it would have landed fine.
