I can't join my friend's party.

i’m not sure if anyone else is having this issue but ever since the new season 4 update anytime i try to join a friend through a party it groups me into a random person’s party. it’s really frustrating when i want to play with my friends 

I'm experiencing the same symptoms. It's really bothering me, so I hope it gets fixed soon.

This is pretty much it for me.

If this doesn't get fixed as soon as possible I'm not coming back to this game, and I'll be asking for a refund on my last purchase. 

Playing with friends is the only thing I do on this game and I've been a supporter through so many issues. The fact this is obviously a huge issue and they haven't addressed it immediately is heartbreaking

Same, when I try to join friends parties it puts me with random people in the same server. But invites still work.. so idk what’s going on

Could you please share a video showing exactly what happens when you try to join a friend's party?

Cannot join friends anymore from direct join. Only if they send an invite or you go through xbox friends list.. otherwise it sends you to a random person in your lobby ..

I've got a similar issue (on PC.) Whenever I try to join a friend's party, I get an error message. Turning crossplay off seems to work, but then we're being placed in smaller lobbies with fewer players. Would love to be able to play in a party with crossplay enabled.
