Im on this mission but when i choose an object to drop it wont let me place it down. it disappears completely. HELP

So, I've been having problems with this Quest, it started yesterday, this would be the first time I've ever interacted with the quest, but it wouldn't let me place items onto the ground for some reason, the object would be invisible and couldn't be placed, I hopped off the game when I became frustrated. So, today I thought I would retry it once more, and the same issue occurred but eventually, it let me place down the objects, now I'm having the issue where I can't progress in the quest. I've been waiting for 20 mins and nothing
Okay, it's the next day and the Quest is working properly now. Unclear what may have caused the bricking but no problems today.
The problem I think is there is too many objects in the same area, because everyone is doing the quest. Turning off crossplay worked for me, probably because that removes alot of people from the server
Yea, it worked when I hopped on 30 mins ago, that might've definitely been the issue. When I started the quest today, it was smooth throughout the whole thing.
