[MEGATHREAD] Can't place objects with Quick Drop

Yep... The object dropper being broken sucks... But, getting locked out of missions because of this stupid bug... Sucks even worse... 

For everyone stuck on this mission I have a temporary fix while the devs figure it out.

TEMP FIX: If you open quick drop and place objects before starting the mission then start the mission it should work. On a new load starting any part of the mission before having used the quick drop menu in your current loaded session you'll get this item-less quick drop bug. 

TLDR; quit mission > while not in mission open quick drop menu > place item > go start mission.

Update: I sincerely think it's a bug with the code to stop the servers from crashing because I can see all these ghosted quick dropped items in the server I'm in. Also I can't place objects in or outside the mission now...

There's something in the quick drop de-spawn code that's bugged, it's not deleting players items when they go too far away for too long or log off and i think the code to stop objects from spawning when there are too many is kicking in and stopping players from spawning more. Devs should check my post on this same bug. I've left some more info on the bug.

temp fix #2 I just used someone else's already placed object and moved it to where I needed. Also I was able to "disable" a pre placed ghost object which actually allowed me to grind it after jumping all the cars... This is a crazy bug.

Devs: I feel like there's something going on with default camera and placement height being too low and in the ground causing items to clip in the ground and wind up invisible, try checking the spam height. Because when I can spawn items they just show up, but when I can't i spam them because they are invisible I noticed that if you hit right trigger to go "up" in placement height it says you can place object but the item doesn't spawn. I also notice when it works you can't "place" objects under ground, so is definitely s rendering clipping issue with the game not liking the items starting out clipped under ground and the bug is that randomly the placed objects start undrrground

Thanks you’re a hero. Had the same problem and disabling cross play did in fact fix it. 

This seems to be the solution.

Strangely this fixed itself for me and I have no idea how or why. Figured I'd give another try and suddenly I could place items again.

how do you turn it off??
