I've got the same issue

I had the same issue, I can’t recall what I did. Try placing the ‘kicker launcher’ ramp. 
That’s the last thing I can recall placing before it worked. 

Same problem here. I can place the objects outside the mission but not on the mission itself.

Me to I can't do AR program Stop Rigging

Same issue here. 

I turned off crossplay in the general settings. Restarted my game and it is working for me now. 

I am currently encountering this issue on PC. Disabling crossplay and restarting the game didn't provide a solution for me. Still stuck.

Didn't actually needed to do this today, I simply started the mission and all of the objects appeared on the ground. Made halfway into the mission and turned off, later I'll restart to see if the problem persists.

I did the disable cfossplay thing it worked 

disabling cross play and restart did not work for me, nor did constantly going through objects and attempting to use them. any other fixes?

I had to place the objects prior to starting the mission, on one attempt the objects disappeared half way through though.

Not working for me on Xbox and there is no crossplay option to turn off

Just reset and then while in the mission I went to the settings and turned quick drop visibility to mine only and quick drop editing to no one

I had the bug and I turned off cross play, quick drop visability to mine only,  quick drop editing to no one and allow direct join to no one, and that fixed it

on PC also. I turned off crossplay - that reloaded my game. I found I could only place the kicker ramp in that portion of the quest. Everything else was fine after that. 

Not gonna lie this is so frustrating that it makes me not even want to play it anymore…. This is one of the silliest bugs compared to all the stuff that could be. I’ve been trying for hours and there is an entire graveyard of stuff yet it doesn’t recognize me dropping any of it…… I don’t even like that function of any of the skate games so it’s extra lame

Okay so this was winding me up on Xbox as there's no option in game to turn off cross play so I went to Xbox main settings go to: 

Settings > Account > Privacy & online safety > Xbox privacy > View details & customize > Communication & multiplayer, and select "Block" for the "You can join cross-network play" option.

When I loaded the game back up the dropper worked on the mission. Hope that helps out some people as it was driving me insane 😂

I had to go do these steps on PC:

disable cross play > restart > turn quick-drop visibility to mine only > quick-drop editing to no one.

 Even doing this I had to place my quick drop item(s) before doing the challenge. It only let me drop the small kicker, everything else was invisible.

place the item where u need it to be before starting the mission and it will still count

How is this still an issue even 5 days after release guess that’s why they call it a beta
