This is an issue that seems to still be happening, it happens a lot at this bowl specifically, but it does happen at others. Just ride around the bowl, powerslide at the top to enter grind, and then try to roll back into the bowl, and you can have this happen quite consistently, on the inwardly curving segments.

omg please fix this. I love realistic transition skating but the second I get a good flow going I instinctively want to get into a grind but instantly regret it because I can't properly come out of it either at all because I get hung up or my character completely stops his momentum to initiate the animation to drop back into the transition that just feels and looks really bad. this isn't just a bowl issue this is an all transition issue.
I think the problem is the game is using the same grind mechanics as street skating but they do not go hand in hand specially when it comes to going back into the transition. I'm not a game dev but I think the game should acknowledge that you are in a transition space so now different rules and animations apply for more fluid gameplay.
