[COLLECTION] Blast From the Past: Issues with specific Tasks

I am supposed to complete "A Strange Visitor" with the task of "Introduce yourself to Emit Relevart.

I did introduce myself. And we are now "good friends". Unforuntuately I still have the task to do of "introduce yourself", which I cannot do, because it is already done, and I no longer have that option. So how do I proceed?

Please use this thread for all issues you have with any of the tasks.

For troubleshooting, try moving the accountDataDB.package to the desktop. This should reset (some) progress and hopefully it works the second time round.

Make one post per tasks you have issues with

Known Issues

  • Make sure to use standard introduction to introduce yourself to Emit. Proper, Howdy, etc don't seem to count. If you already introduced yourself you should be able to either use another Sim or try in a new save game. You can do the same if you introduced yourself before you got the task.
  • If you can't find Emit at the park, check if he looks differently. This is probably related to MCCC.

    It's possible that he's dressed differently. MCCC might mess with the way he looks.

    Emit not showing up at the park for me. I play a  vanilla game.

    I am up to "Report Back to Emit" and the social is not showing up as an option for any of my 4 (super) sims, all of which have introduced themselves to him already.

    I've tried saving, going into another household, saving, then going back. I've tried traveling (from Library to back home, then inviting him over to the lot) and that didn't make a difference.

    The option is simply not showing up.

    I'm going to turn off all mods & shut down the game & try again another day.

    I really, REALLY hate the time-limited events. Just give us the content for free or make it into another of your horrible, overpriced Kits. I've literally had to make an entire new save with Super Sims downloaded from the gallery just to try to breeze through these annoying quests in order to obtain one or two items I actually want - I hate it.

    I feel like I'm doing frustrating, glitchy admin rather than playing a game I love.... :( 
    (Which especially sucks since I already have so much life admin at the moment, and sims is supposed to be my BREAK from it!)

    I use my sim to go to the park I did the friendly introduction nothing happened. I went back home and had my Sam watch the news for 15 minutes and nothing happened. I had my sim check the social media timeline after she had met and became friends with Emmit and nothing happened. The quest is not continuing and it's not giving rewards for the steps that were completed. Any suggestions let me know thanks?

    ok so i’m not the only one experiencing this.. i picked proper introduction and it’s still sitting there.. even got him to be my roommate to try to complete but alas nothing

    Any mods/cc in your game ? Does the introduction one still show as needing to be done ? Cause if that's still on the plate, you can't go on.
