EA stubbornly sticks to a P2P (peer-to-peer) connection system for UFC. The game does not process your match on a powerful company server; instead, one player's console acts as the "server" for the other. If your opponent’s Wi-Fi connection falters, both of you will experience lag and input latency. For a fighting game where the outcome is decided by fractions of a second, this is the worst possible approach. However, the company deems dedicated servers for UFC to be financially unviable (unlike for FC/FIFA).
So, what exactly did I pay for? I’m a fan of the UFC game series, and I play exclusively online!
You’ve let the treatment of players sink to such a disgraceful level by the time of the sixth installment! I am never buying another game you make—that’s a fact!
