UI: Gamepad navigation issue, sometimes can't highlight Moment after an event

Update: see my second post for a sure way to trigger the bug. There's not even need to enter an event, so it's quick to reproduce.

Unexpected behavior: Hard Chargers Moments cards cant be navigated to/selected after finishing an event for the first time after entering game, and then switching tabs back to it.

A possible way to reproduce, not 100% reliable:

  • Go to Moments, RB to "Hard Chargers" tab, run a Moment (ex: Mechanical Sympathy) and finish it (alternatively do a fresh weekly Moment in Current Season). Then after pressing through Continue(s), It'll exit back to Moments>Current Season Menu
  • Now use RB (press only once!) to change from "Current Season" tab to "Hard Chargers". At this point, navigation will be restricted to the upper tabs highlight and it wont be possible to select a Moment card bellow for the Hard Chargers DLC with d-pad down. These aren't highlighted as expected, and d-pad right/left nav. fails to select them (see img bellow).
  • To undo this situation (other than resorting to mouse), it's needed to press either RB or LB change tab once then go back to it, and only then it's possible to select a Moments card in the DLC as expected.

Note: This bug only happens after running and exiting an event after entering the Moments section, not fresh into the menu after game start. IIRC after a second moment is finished, the bug won't show again.

Can't always reproduce this issue, could also be related to previous mouse position restricting navigation. Happened right before creating this thread, but failed to reproduce it twice after, then it happened after the first try on "Mechanical Sympathy".

This is on PC with a Xinput pad (Xbox Wireless Controller Model 1914, wired via USB-C)

PS: I'll also leave a request to move these two older threads out of the archive and into this active forum, as the respective issues are still present since game release, remaining unsolved on last patch. Thread 1 and Thread 2. Thanks once again.

    Ok, I found a way to reproduce the bug with 100% success. It's not even needed to run a single event:

    1. From main menu select moments on gamepad, and enter that section
    2. Now on the "Current Season" Moments you've been sent to, keep pressing d-pad right until it reaches the last moment card listed.
    3. Press RB to switch to "Hard Chargers". Bug will trigger

    At this point you should come across the bug where no Moment card is highlighted, and you can't use d-pad anymore to navigate between moments (not even by pressing d-pad down). It'll only revert normal behavior if you LB or RB into "Current Season" or "Les Maestros", then back to Hard Chargers.
