VR crashes with Varjo Aero
Ok, looks like no WRC VR soup for me for now. Game crashes with Varjo set to handle OpenXR after the first screen where it's asking if I'd like to play in VR. With SteamVR set to be OpenXR game manages to start, with horrible stutters when turning head, and crashes when I try to start a time trial. In both cases the crash is silent, with no pop-up window messages, simply goes back to Steam. AMD 5900X, 64G RAM, and a 4090. Both DR and RD2 work fine as they used to; so hopefully it's not a problem with my setup. Update: Managed to get it working in SteamVR OpenXR. Horrible stutters when turning head but otherwise it runs, although doesn't look very good. I think disabling the OpenXR Toolkit globally is what did the trick. It still crashes when Varjo Base is set as the OpenXR runtime which is where I'd like it to actually work, as I'm guessing having SteamVR in the middle is the cause of the very bad stutters when turning head.2.5KViews4likes50CommentsVSYNC Stuttering issue on Non-VRR displays
What will happen with any non-VRR display: With in-game VSYNC or third-party Normal stage start: Stutters 90% of the time (Seems to be locking the framerate bellow the displays refreshrate) Enter/exit graphics menu before stage: Stutters will stop at first, but might start ramdomly mid stage, which its a even worse situation (Apparently because of assets being loaded mid-stage, but I can't know for sure) W/O VSYNC W/o Framelimiters: Erratic framerate, stutters and constant screen tearing Framelimiters: Stable framerate but also constant screen tearing If its not getting fixed, someone on the team PLEASE, at the very least, let me know of any way I can bypass the problem....311Views2likes10CommentsGame crashes on splash screen, unable to open game for almost a year
Game crashes on splash screen. Worked well before anti-cheat update. What I've done (multiple times): - Reinstalled game - Verified game files - Reinstalled anti-cheat Running Win 11, RTX 3080 and Ryzen 5700X3D. Game is installed on R: disk (nvme drive). Game has been unplayable for long time.198Views2likes5CommentsWRC VR never worked on my Quest 2 for a year
I waited for multiple updates hoping it would solve my issue but it never did. Basically when I launch the game it asks me if I want to start in VR, then the game restarts and proceeds to the menu. But on my headset it's either a black screen on Virtual Desktop or app launching screen on Steam Link. No issues with Dirt Rally 2.0 and other VR titles. Anyone else with the Meta Quest? Can you share your setup and settings?16Views0likes0CommentsCannot connect to EA
Since the last DLC Update I can't connect to EA. When I start the game Iit says "Connecting to EA" but nothing happens and the login dialog is not shown. The only thing I can do is to skip the access and play offline. I'm running on PC-Steam. After discussing this issue on the EA WRC official channel it seems that I'm not the only one having this issue. Thank you for your attention.1KViews10likes22CommentsUnable to run in a Virtual Machine. Please exit the VM and try again. (121)
2 months ago I posted same bug/problem and EA has not dealt with this problem. We pay you for the game and the DLC's and this is how you treat us!? I'm very disappointed. In the future I have to remind my self and to all my friends: not to by EA games, they call gamers cheaters but actually thy are the cheaters: EA scams you out of money for the digital content, lets you play for few months and then takes the ability to play, what you brought with your own money, away from you. Perfect definition of a CHEATER/SCAMMER.178Views0likes2CommentsRally School Lessons #2, #3 and #4
#2 Snow: 5 second reset penalty right at the start. #3 Snow: 5 second reset penalty in the breaking box which causes you to fail the lesson if you trigger it. #4 Snow: Regularity Rally, 20 second reset penalty in "the twisty bit" for no infringement which can give you too many points and fail the lesson. The "co-driver" also says that there is a speed limit which you can exceed, but there is no indication as to what the speed limit is for all surface types.574Views9likes4CommentsEA WRC - Crash on Launch
I've uninstalled and reinstalled EA WRC (Steam) a couple of times, making sure to delete the folder in addition to Steam's uninstall. My video drivers and OS are updated. It shows the little loading box/splash screen, the progress meter fills up, and then the entire thing just fails to open. The only other thing I tried was adding -dx11 to the launch options. This didn't improve anything. Hi there, I just bought a new rtx 5080 and after the installation and full setup im entering game by game to check out the performance boost. Every game i try everything seems ok and im getting a big improvement from my last GPU across the board. The only game that im having troubles is EA Wrc. I can go and do everything in the game but the game looks really off. All the highligts are showing a redish tint. im going to add the screenshot from in game and all the animation so you can see that this only happens, i assume, when something is rendered. I tried to unistall the GPU drivers and also de Game Ea Wrc, but im allways getting this weird look. Also tried to clean cache from steam and changing resolution and diferent settings. I tried window or fullscreen the results are always the same. I try use DLSS and native 4k always with the same results. Performance wise the game seems to be smooth. Can you guys help me understand what i m doing wrong83Views1like1Comment
