Dear Madam/Sir, I recently purchased EA SPORTS™ WRC during the summer sale on Steam, eager to participate in a potential future Rally Esports challenge. Unfortunately, the game crashes on start-up, preventing me from even reaching the main menu. I have noticed that many others have faced this issue since the game's release in November 2023. It is quite frustrating that this problem persists even in July 2024. Or maybe my PC is at fault? Could you please provide any information on whether there will be a fix for this issue soon? Additionally, I would like to know if the game will be delivered annually or if it will evolve into a model similar to CS2 or Dota 2, with continuous updates instead of annual sales. Given that I am currently unable to play the game, I am uncertain about the refund process. If there is a positive response regarding continuous updates rather than annual sales, I would prefer to keep the game hoping that this start-up crash will be fixed in the future. Otherwise, I will have to request a refund. I also read some reviews claiming that you added Kernel Anti-Cheat. Upon checking my Event Viewer, I saw 4 Critical Kernel-Power events and 4 Critical AppModel-Runtime events. Is your Anti-Cheat not working properly and crashing my computer? As soon as I see the intro video, my computer screen turns black, and the speed of all fans increases to the maximum. I could not even access task manager with Ctrl + Alt + Del. I only heard sound and could not give any input to my computer. In order to stop this, I have to press the power button and then restart the computer immediately to give all the hardware components time to cool down. This Kernel issue also happened with other games on release, such as CS2, for example (I checked Event Viewer at that time as well). Now, some months later, the CS2 game does not crash due to these errors as they do not happen anymore. CS2 also behaved in the same way with a black screen and other issues similar to your game. I also tried to write the same messages above in the EA WRC Forum. My content was marked as spam for no reason. I wanted to edit a word in my text and then it immediately got marked as spam. Or did someone report my post? This is my second message. Additionally, the link from EA is incorrect. They ask, "If you believe it is an error please report the abuse regarding the spam," and I am being sent to "Tell us why this content is inappropriate." Please help me. ✔️ EA SPORTS WRC ⚙️ Solve Stuttering Permanently 🔥 Method ilborga70 ✔️ Not a placebo! 🔧Hard-Coded! Solve the Problem of Stuttering Permanently The GameUserSettings.ini file can be found at: C:\Users\YourUsername\AppData\Local\WRC\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor\GameUserSettings.ini Open GameUserSettings.ini and edit the following lines of code: [/Script/WRC.WRCGameUserSettings] FrameRateLimit=60.000000 Save the GameUserSettings.ini file. It's very important to set the read-only attribute to the GameUserSettings.ini file! Why do I need to set the read-only attribute to the GameUserSettings.ini file? Because EA SPORTS WRC sets your monitor's current refresh rate but does not handle it properly. Also, not having a function to properly limit and synchronize refresh rate and FPS causes these stuttering problems. Sync and Refresh (Nvidia Profile Inspector) Frame Rate Limiter V3: 60 FPS GSYNC - Application: Force Off Maximum Pre-Rendered Frames: 1 Preferred Refresh Rate: Highest available Triple Buffering: On Ultra Low Latency - CPL State: Ultra Ultra Low Latency - Enabled: On Vertical Sync: Force On Power Management - Mode: Maximum performance Threaded Optimization: On EA SPORTS WRC in a Different Language Use regedit (press the Windows key and type "reg" in the Windows menu, then start the registry editor). Navigate to the registry editor to the values of the two keys: Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Codemasters\EA SPORTS WRC Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Codemasters\EA SPORTS WRC Change the value of local to en_US for English. After that, go to the EA app for the game, click on "Manage," and then on "Repair." Extra Performance Settings Change advanced power settings. Expand "USB settings" and then "USB selective suspend setting." Select "Disabled" from the drop-down menu.Solved118Views1like1CommentGame crashing after intro
Just bought WRC 24 PC two days ago and had no issues installing it. The problem is the game crashes after intro when the garage image appears. Before inscribing -dx11 on the advanced initialization options on EA App, the crash would take place before the seizure warning at the intro. Can I get some help? I've tried many of the solutions available online. Thank you6Views0likes0CommentsThe game crashes after intro video
As the title says, EA Sports WRC crashes after the intro plays. This happend after the new update. I have an intel arc a750 and at first i thought it was the driver but after 5 hours of trying to fix this (I covered all my bases, I reinstalled the driver, rolled back my driver versions, reinstalled windows), nothing helped. Does anyone have any suggestions to how to fix this? EDIT: I FOUND A FIX FOR IT! I went into steam->library->right click on wrc->properties->and type "-dx11" in the launch options (without the ""s). I hope they fix whatever is wrong with their dx12 version916Views2likes7CommentsThe game crashes on startup. But it got worse.
I made a post about it here and found a fix for it too, - but as of writing this post, the game crashes with the "fix" too. To recap my last post about this: The EA Sports intro play, the seizure warning comes up, screen goes black and with that swift move, back to the desktop without any error message. The Temporary fix was: In steam I wrote in the launch options "-dx11", forcing the game to launch in directx11. This meant that the game/my gpu has an issue with launching in directx12, for whatever reason (let it be my gpu driver or a bug in game). My specs for reference: CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600g (Integrated gpu is off of course!) GPU: Intel ARC 750 LE (if that matters) (Current driver version .6559) RAM: 2x8GB 3200Mhz The game is installed on Windows 11, on an SSD, in Program files (x86)\Steam\etc.... (My operating system language is hungarian if for whatever reason the game could have a problem with it) Note: Today when I got back from uni I used DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) uninstalling my old driver and then installing the new (.6559) one. Last week I also tried wiping my save file testing if that could fix it (I was really desperate, in DX11 most graphical features don't work and the game looks 10x worse.) but that didn't fix it either (and also I didn't test the game afterwards with the fix to see if it still worked). On a Final Note: This very well could be a driver issue on my side, so I'll also make a complaint about this to intel, but regardless please look into it.79Views0likes1CommentAutoHotKey stop the lanch of game

What will happen with any non-VRR display: With in-game VSYNC or third-party Normal stage start: Stutters 90% of the time (Seems to be locking the framerate bellow the displays refreshrate) Enter/exit graphics menu before stage: Stutters will stop at first, but might start ramdomly mid stage, which its a even worse situation (Apparently because of assets being loaded mid-stage, but I can't know for sure) W/O VSYNC W/o Framelimiters: Erratic framerate, stutters and constant screen tearing Framelimiters: Stable framerate but also constant screen tearing If its not getting fixed, someone on the team PLEASE, at the very least, let me know of any way I can bypass the problem....166Views2likes8CommentsOpenXR motion compensation issues...
So I've been struggling trying to get OpenXR motion compensation (OpenXR MC) working with EA WRC. I am using an eRacing Labs motion system, Pimax Crystal and Simhub. With OpenXR MC installed EA WRC exits right after displaying the second splash screen. If I remove OpenXR MC from the PC then EA WRC will start... re-install OpenXR MC and EA WRC is back to not starting. Found a single post on steam that mentioned if you set "overlay_enabled = 0" in the ini file that OpenXR installs (in the directory \Users\*Your_Username*\AppData\Local\OpenXR-MotionCompensation\) then EA WRC will start. Tried that and, sure enough, EA WRC starts and I can use the keyboard shortcuts defined in the OpenXR MC ini file to configure and use motion compensation with EA WRC. Yay! And once you run it once you then have an EA WRC specific ini file in that folder to which I added the: overlay_enabled = 0 and restored overlay_enabled = 1 in the main ini file (for all the other VR games that aren't broken like EA WRC is). I tried to submit a case/bug report to EA around this in hopes it gets fixed (so one can leverage the OpenXR toolkit menu/overlay) before EA totally abandons this title but EA makes it hard (actually impossible from what I can see) to submit a bug report so I'm ranting about this here in the hope that EA sees this and maybe fixes it in a patch (wishful thinking). At least this may help other VR users with motion who are struggling with this as I was.18Views0likes0CommentsUnplayable - Crashes at the end of every stage
I am currently doing a rally in the Sweden stage in career mode. At the end of every stage, the game crashes to desktop. When I go back into the career mode it returns me to the start of the stage. And then it repeats over and over again. I can't progress the career mode, I'm just trapped with a game that I've purchased all the expansions for, and support does not exist.13Views0likes0CommentsOpenXR motion compensation not working
I'm using a motion platform controlled by SimHub, which incorporates motion compensation from an OpenXR API layer. Enabling this layer crashes the game to desktop before it starts. Everything else works, only the OpenXR motion compensation layer doesn't. It's an OpenXR API layer, which works flawlessly in all other titles I've tried it in, so this could likely be an issue with the OpenXR-implementation of WRC. Is the game compatible with OpenXR API layers? Using a Meta Quest 2.1.1KViews2likes10CommentsWRC Crash

Since the last DLC Update I can't connect to EA. When I start the game Iit says "Connecting to EA" but nothing happens and the login dialog is not shown. The only thing I can do is to skip the access and play offline. I'm running on PC-Steam. After discussing this issue on the EA WRC official channel it seems that I'm not the only one having this issue. Thank you for your attention.660Views9likes20CommentsFanatec DD+ Xtreme not recognized

And when? Do you know if the new FullForce will also be added? It would be great, but I would be happy to be able to play3.2KViews7likes54CommentsRally school. Unexpected car reset on snow stages
That in the title. Platform: Xbox Series S Language: Spanish Location: Argentina Version: 2.3.109.3358 When you play snow stages on the rally school the car automatically resets as if you pressed the digital down button. That happens on several snow stages, in some, like the first one, it happens right after you cross the start line. But this prevents you from completing rally school due to penalties and loss of momentum.184Views2likes4CommentsGame crashes on splash screen, unable to open game for almost a year
