F1 25 crashes after EA Javelin AntiCheat - black screen on launch, then crash
Hello, I am creating this report because I have found several users experiencing the exact same issue and EA Support informed me that similar cases are currently being reported. Problem: F1 25 worked perfectly for approximately 55 hours of gameplay. Around 1-2 weeks ago the game suddenly stopped launching. When I press Play: EA Javelin AntiCheat starts normally. The splash screen appears. A black screen is shown for 1-2 seconds. The game closes instantly without any error message. System: - Windows 11 Pro 24H2 - Intel i7-14700K - NVIDIA RTX 5070 - Steam version of F1 25 What I have already tried: - Reinstalled F1 25 - Reinstalled EA App - Reinstalled EA Javelin AntiCheat - Verified game files through Steam - Updated Windows - Updated GPU drivers - Tested with peripherals disconnected - Disabled Intel integrated graphics - Ran system integrity checks Nothing changes the behaviour. Event Viewer has shown different modules during testing, including Intel graphics related modules and Logitech TrueForce SDK modules, which suggests the crash may occur during initialization rather than being caused by a specific device. Important: The game previously worked correctly on the same hardware and software configuration. No major hardware changes were made before the issue started. I would like to know: - Is EA aware of this issue? - Is there an active investigation? - Can affected users provide additional information to help identify the cause? If other users are experiencing the same behaviour (EA Javelin AntiCheat -> black screen -> instant crash without error), please comment below with your system specifications. Thank you.Game Launch Error
Hi, I’m experiencing an issue launching f1 25 on steam. When I start the game, the splash screen appears, the progress bar completes, and then the game crashes immediately. I have tried to reinstall the game 3 times, I have tried repairing the anti cheat software and reinstalling it... I am really getting tired and I am hoping I can get this issue solved before bf6 launch as well as I am not sure if I can even play my preorder anymore... EA Javelin AntiCheat has encountered an error. Restart your PC: C:\Program Files\EA\AC\EAAnticheat\GameService.exe (17) (1060)VR Disaster
The game has always had constant crashes in VR, both during loading and during gameplay, and I believe the cause is Javelin Anticheat. With the latest update, it's nearly impossible to play in VR. I've used both a 9070XT and a 5070 on a laptop, both SteamVR and Virtual Desktop, and even Quest Link via USB 3.2 cable. Error after error, crashes, and the inability to play. It's a rip-off! Javelin Anticheat, very often, stucks! Almost always the issue is whaile the game passes from flato to VR. I already wrote to EA, and they NEVER gave a serious, sensible response. I'm waiting for a solution.Anti-Cheat Causing Game to Fail to Launch or Crash
I purchased the game on Steam, and since the day I bought it, I have never been able to launch it properly. I have already tried the following troubleshooting steps: Reinstalling the game multiple times Updating my BIOS Verifying game file integrity in Steam (Steam always reports 3 missing files, and no matter how many times I reinstall or verify, the issue remains ) Closing all background applications that could potentially cause conflicts Despite all of this, the game either fails to launch at all, or it crashes within one to two minutes after launching. According to Windows Event Viewer, the crash appears to be related to EA Anti-Cheat. Below is the error information I found: Log Name: Application Source: Application Event ID: 1 Level: Error Error Details: EAAntiCheatService The game f1_25.exe exited unexpectedly, exit code: 0x1 This issue happens consistently every time I try to launch the game. I would like to know if this is a known issue with EA Anti-Cheat, and if there are any official fixes or additional troubleshooting steps I can try. At the moment, the game is completely unplayable for me.F1 25 Will not launch (Steam)
Like many many other users, I cannot launch F1 25 on my PC. When I attempt to launch the game in Stream I see the splash screen, which eventually closes. Then nothing happens. This is a fresh Windows 11 install with very few other applications installed. I've tried the following: -Disable antivirus (Windows Defender, no other AV installed) -Manually install EA Javelin software from F1 25 directory -Manually install EA Javelin software from download on EA website -EA Javelin software repair -Reinstall game from Steam -Run file validation in Steam -Install EA App -Run game as administrator -Verified list of incompatible software for EA Javelin (non installed) -Update Nvidia driver -Starting game with no Internet access -Verified local Documents directory was not pointing to OneDrive (registry entry was correct) I cannot attach hardware settings information, since heh game does not launch and will not create the directory. I cannot provide a report code, since the game does not launch. Below is a screen shot of the splash screen. It will progress past this message to "Launching Game" before it fails completely.F1 25 doesn't start - May 2026
Has anyone found a way to solve this "bug"? I've bought this s*it both on steam and ea app (very bad error to spend my money on this, i know) and i've always the same problem, the game loads the anticheat and then crash. I've bought it the first time on January and I've never been able to play it. If someone has found something let me know thx.F125 Crashes After 5-10 minutes
F125 crashes to desktop after playing for 5-10 minutes. Game will freeze with audio stuck on that exact moment for 5-10 seconds before crashing to desktop with no error message. Each time it crashes I verify files and between 1-11 files consistently fail to validate. On each start of the game the EA anticheat installer runs which leads me to believe that the anticheat has some sort of issue. I have tried the following: - Fresh install - Verifying files - Uninstalling hardware settings - Repairing EA anticheat through the EA Javelin Anticheat setup - Ensuring PC is in secure boot - Uninstalling just the .exe file and verifying files - Updating windows - Updating graphics drivers None of these have worked and I am stuck crashing. DxDiag file is attached.Bug Report – VR / PS VR2 – F1 25 (PC/Steam)
Platform: PC (Steam) Headset: PS VR2 via official PC adapter + SteamVR CPU: Intel Core i5-14600K | GPU: RTX 9060 XT Issue: When entering gameplay (garage or driving), the left and right eye rendering becomes misaligned and uncalibrated, causing severe distortion and an uncentered view. Resetting the VR position does not fix the issue. The problem occurs exclusively in F1 25 — all other VR-compatible games work correctly with the same headset and setup, without any additional configuration. Steps to reproduce: 1. Connect PS VR2 via official PC adapter 2. Launch SteamVR 3. Launch F1 25 in VR mode 4. Enter any gameplay session (garage or on track) Expected behavior: Both eyes render correctly aligned, providing a stable and centered stereoscopic view. Actual behavior: Each eye points in a diverging direction, causing distortion and an unplayable experience. Additional notes: - Editing hardware_settings_config_vr.xml (stencilMesh, TAA, post-processing) did not resolve the issue. - Disabling Motion Smoothing and setting SteamVR to 120Hz did not resolve the issue. - The bug has been reported by multiple users on the EA Forums and Steam Discussions, suggesting it is a systematic issue with PS VR2 + SteamVR on F1 25, not an isolated case.
