Never have I ever posted a discussion I want answers.
I know a lot of people nowadays play this game as a pay to play game. But why do you support a game that makes you pay after you bought it yet blatantly ignores every facet of every other aspect of that game that you don’t have to pay for. Plus why when you poke check in be a pro the pc still check with the flat of the blade? Do programmers thick a person pokes another with the flat of a finger? A poke check is like when you poke a person. With the point of a finger but instead the piont of the blade of the stick.31Views0likes2CommentsNHL 26 Be a Pro wishlist/suggestions
I wanna start by saying I have been playing NHL games since nhl11 and I have been an active be a pro player since NHL 17. As someone who’s favorite mode is be a pro I feel there are some much needed changed and improvements that aren’t far fetched that can turn this mode great. More hockey options before the nhl: not everyone wants to play a lot before the nhl but that’s because there is no depth too it, and when you start before the draft and don’t pick your team you don’t get other rookies into the sim. Firstly, put rookies drafted in into the draft pool so they are incorporated into the be a pro world. Secondly, allow me to start at 17/18 headed to the draft or 15/16. If I choose to start at 15/16 let me choose to go to college, with around 10-15 of the top tier teams in college hockey, or the Chl/european league like you have now. Allow me to frequently check my draft stock in a “top prospects list” and give me actions and interviews that allow me to either purposefully drop my stock or boost it based on what I say. Make the years before the nhl more immersive and mean something beyond just the #1 pick. This will also allow players to get their rating up before they get into the nhl. Not everyone wants to be a 70 overall, if I perform well in junior hockey, allow me to get upgrade points, which should be given on a more frequent basis in general similar to how MLB 25 has made their player upgrade system this year. Increase depth and immersion once drafted: Rookie season in Be a pro is decently immersive. You get interviews about different things every now and then and you want to grind to get on the first line. But after you do everything 1 time it gets boring and repetitive. It’s easy to win every trophy as I play on all star and scored 200+ points my first season, giving me nothing to grind for after. There are no trophy cutscenes, interviews die down after rookie season and the same questions are asked again and again. A simple awards presentation and Stanley cup parade would go a long way to making people want to grind more. People want to see their player doing things more often. Allow my player to go to practice, allow me to do the warm up skate before games, maybe even toss pucks to fans to increase my fan rating. Simple things like this make the game more immersive and replay able. Allow me to walk around the locker room before the game. Make the mode immersive, people wanna feel like nhl players, that’s why they play the mode. Make the mode like 2k’s my career ( WHILE YOU ARE IN THE AREANA NOT THE DUMB OUTSIDES CUTSCENES AND QUESTS) Revamp Contract resigning: I shouldn’t only see contract offers one time and have to make a decision right then. Allow me through my final contract season to have ongoing negotiations with the gm, you already have an office for him might as well put it to use. Even if that doesn’t happen allow offers to build up over the offseason with different perks and attribute boosts that make signing with other teams worth it. Grinding for a new contract is the only reason I play after playing my rookie season in be a pro but that gets dry because although you can buy things with your money, you never see them, you never see your player arrive to the rink in his car, you never see your house or apartment or a social media post of your vacation. Besides the small attribute boosts you get there is no point in the money in your contract. Fix the graphics: Please make the faces look better, the graphics on players, coaches and fans look terrible for 2025 standards. Other EA games like madden and EAFC do a way better job at player likeness. Along with that upgrade the hairstyle options even though it is under the helmet a lot of the time why have the hair in the game if it looks terrible. Besides about 6 hairstyles, all of the others are not optimized for current generation, they are all stiff and look like garbage.95Views1like2CommentsNHL 26 early wishlist (let’s make NHL great again)
First off I will say nhl 25 is actual a huge step up im liking it so far , but it’s missing some details to feel complete.. full presentation needs to return and add more to what we had in the past games In edit player menu have the ability to change the color of sticks and gloves (nhl 2k had this) and now players have been customizing their own as well. Customizable tape job (adjust length on shaft and blade and not have it preset) And add the ability to edit goalie masks. hitting and collisions need to be tweaked to more realism. Franchise: be able to control more than one team able to scout and sign players from other leagues(I.E europe) Real coaches or at least customizable coaches A customizable GM character, have conversations be shown like it is in fifa where your Gm Meets the player. office similarly to dynasty mode in nhl 2004 On the hub where we get details of what went on in other games we can see highlights (either by clip or a screen shot) with description such as ‘stamkos nets a hat trick in last nights win’ and a small clip or screen shot showing stamkos scoring his 3rd goal. Be a pro: change up the whole be a pro game mode make it more like life the life. ability to use NhL players to continue their career or an nhl legend Street clothes for off days and make it interactive. If I buy a condo or a house i want to actualy see my self living in it. Same with the car we get, be able to drive around (a small map) and not just be a attribute boost. Pond hockey pick up games you can walk to or drive to when you leave your ‘house’ Call it a ‘hall of fame room’ similar to skybox 2k had in nhl2k5 where you had the Stanley cup and other interactive stuff and unlockables. Be able to decide to start from being drafted at 18 or create a 30 year old forward who just signed with an nhl team etc.. more interactive with teammates and coaches and GM list of teams you want to be traded to etc.. extras add winter classic and all star game (skills + game) both as a play now mode and also in franchise and be a pro. player retiring playing their last game get a ovation from crowd. Announce the player will retire 1 game before their last skate with the cup (playoff mode, season mode , franchise and be a pro) Tweak the fighting engine and allow more than one fight happening at once. this is a lot of an ask, but if we can get half of these implemented we are definitely heading Into greatness with NhL games.5.4KViews17likes48CommentsBe A Pro deserves more, no more hidden progression, no more copy paste seasons!
Dear EA NHL Dev Team I have been playing NHL 25 Be A Pro intensively, and while the on-ice gameplay is enjoyable, it is clear that Be A Pro remains neglected. What many players feel, but EA continues to ignore, is that this mode has not evolved in any meaningful way. It is stale, repetitive, and far from its potential. One of the biggest issues is the completely hidden XP system for skill points. There is no visible XP bar. No progress tracker. No feedback at all. We play full matches, win trophies, score goals, or hit milestones, but we are left guessing whether it even mattered. We can go from 91 to 92 overall and still receive no skill point. This makes it feel like we are grinding blind, and that destroys any motivation to keep going. This is not acceptable for a career mode. In other sports titles like FIFA or NBA 2K, progression is clear and rewarding. Be A Pro should match that standard. The player deserves to know what actions contribute to earning skill points, how much XP is needed, and whether the overall level means anything beyond a number. We are not asking for easy progression or shortcuts. We are asking for visibility. A simple XP progress bar under the player profile would fix this issue instantly. It is a basic feature in 2025 and should have been there years ago. What makes this worse is that Be A Pro receives almost no meaningful updates. Every year it feels like the same version with small edits. The most common complaints across Reddit and EA forums are easy to find. Be A Pro still uses the same scenes and menus as NHL 21. There is no storyline, no meaningful decisions, no agency. Dialogues are generic and do not reflect your actual career. Traits and perks were added, but the mode itself has not changed. There is no chemistry system, trade logic, or sense of career progression. These are not isolated complaints. These are repeated by players every year. But the same cycle continues. Be A Pro should feel like a true hockey RPG. A career mode with immersion, progression, character building, and dynamic storylines. Right now it feels like a leftover side project. NHL 26 is your opportunity to fix this. If the dev team truly wants to improve the Be A Pro experience, it starts with respecting the time and effort of the players who actually enjoy the mode. Make the system transparent. Give it depth. Build something we can look forward to instead of something we tolerate. The future of Be A Pro depends on whether you start treating it like a core part of the game and not an afterthought. Sincerely A player who believes Be A Pro can become something great And on behalf of everyone who had to Google how skill points work because the game refused to explain it18Views0likes1CommentBe A Pro should be a real hockey RPG, not just a mode with menus
Dear EA NHL Dev Team I bought a PlayStation 5 specifically to play NHL 25 and experience Be A Pro as it was advertised. I love hockey. Like many fans, I grew up dreaming about playing in the NHL. Be A Pro should be the mode that brings that dream to life. Right now, it barely scratches the surface. What is missing is everything that makes a real career exciting. There are no sponsorships, no managers, no training systems that feel dynamic. There is no real interaction with coaches or teammates, no contract negotiations, no pressure from fans or media. It is just menus, upgrades, and simulation. Be A Pro should be more than that. It should feel like an actual hockey RPG. Give us the choice to pick our manager or agent. Let us sign sponsor deals and get rewarded for personal achievements like hat tricks or playoff success. Let us interact with coaches, demand more ice time, deal with injuries, or even make off-ice decisions that affect our career. Add meaningful dialogues. Let us choose a personality type that actually influences how we are treated by media and teammates. Let chemistry matter. Let a trade request mean something. Make training feel like it shapes the player, not just a button press. If this was ever released on PC, with mod support, the community would take this mode to another level. But even on console, this should be the flagship experience of the game. NHL is the dream. Be A Pro is where we are supposed to live it. Be A Pro should not be a forgotten side mode. It should be a full journey. From juniors to the draft, to breaking out as a rookie, becoming a captain, earning awards, facing setbacks, and writing your legacy. That is what makes a sports game great. Please give this mode the love and depth it deserves in NHL 26. Sincerely A lifelong hockey fan who bought a PS5 to chase the NHL dream21Views0likes0CommentsNHL Be A Pro - Update Wishlist
Hello, I know that the Be A Pro (BAP) mode has stayed the same for the last couple of years at this point without any updates or adjustments, and while I understand that a large scale overhaul of the game mode is not likely, there are still some minor adjustments that would make the gameplay more enjoyable. Below are three items that I believe to be achievable updates to the game mode: Could the user please have some of the same menu options available in BAP that are available in Franchise mode. For instance, why am I not able to look at the recent activity around the league (recent trades, signings, other teams' line charts, etc.) Clearly we won't need the managerial options related to free agents, coaching staff, scouts, or operations; but players should still be able to see what is happening around the league. This could be helpful in deciding which organization to chose during free agency or to better see what your team did during the trade deadline instead of having to snoop through your lineup and stats to see what additions/subtractions were made to your team. There should be an option to be start/get sent down to the minors (be it the AHL or juniors). Previous NHL installments had this option, along with allowing the player to play the entire draft-eligible CHL season if they desired. This would be more realistic than a late round draft pick with 0 pts through the preseason still making the opening night NHL lineup. Player involvement in either All Star related events or international events (World Championships / Olympics / World Cup of Hockey, etc.). While All Star events are waning it would still be cool to have the option to participate in either the skills events and/or game if the NHL decides to still use an All Star format. Much more appealing would be the inclusion of international play. While I understand that licensing may prohibit the use of calling tournaments by their true name (World Juniors / the Olympics / World Championships, etc.) these could still be included under a generic "International Tournament" title. The World Cup of Hockey is an NHL run international event at least that should allow for inclusion into the game mode (since it already has its own separate mini mode), and after all, there are already many international rosters in the game, it would be nice to see them get more use out of the various game modes. Namely BAP and Franchise modes. While this list may fall upon deaf ears (or in this case blind eyes), I do hope we receive some new life into the Be a Pro game mode soon to freshen up the staleness that has set in over the last few releases. Thank you!54Views2likes1CommentIcon Passing is Horrendous
Whats the point of having icon passes if they never go to the button i click, its so useless if i gotta aim my passes, the point of icon passes is so i don’t have to aim, i should be able to click “R2” and “O” and it should go to my player not to my goalie, i go on a 2 on 0 make a pass and it bounces behind the net off the boards like c’mon EA.107Views0likes4CommentsNHL 26 WISHLIST
I'm a big fan of the games and am a Be A Pro merchant. I've played the last 10 NHL games, and have been wondering why it's so easy to become the captain in Be A Pro. The few things I want for NHL 26 Be A Pro are very simple: NHL 19 mechanics where it took 3-4 seasons to get the A, and 2-3 seasons after that to get the C. Since then, you could pretty much immediately become captain after a single season in every Be A Pro. I would love to see them implement these mechanics into the next game. It not only gives you something to work towards, but also adds a level a realism to the game. Please give less dialogue in Be a Pro and make it easier to sim. With so many random side missions and interactions, it makes it difficult to want to really grind the career and play for a while. NHL 19 is a perfect example of what my ideal Be A Pro would look like. Fix the Low, High, and Fixed camera angles to make them not spin in 360 degrees. Why not just make it like the FIFA career camera?2.7KViews1like36Comments"Point" and "goal" for reporter/coach challenges.
Hello, I have noticed that the reporter will give me the challenge to "Score 1 point and win the next game," however on multiple occasions I will have multiple assists, win the game, and lose the challenge. I believe the challenge is asking me to score 1 GOAL, however the term "point" in hockey refers to both goals and assists. This error was also present in NHL24, possibly previous versions but I can't remember.27Views0likes1Comment
