The sunken platform has a "ceiling"
This happens when you build a sunken platform in the underground level. The sunken platform has a "ceiling". When you look down from above, everything is perfect, but when you look up from the bottom (Below the floor level), you can see a grey "ceiling" block the view. Please see attached pictures below:30Views0likes4CommentsThings that should be Off-the-Grid
I don't think this would be a Bug Report since everything works as labeled, but there are things I think could be changed. 🤔 I determined this when looking under the Off-the-Grid category and saw there were things that struck me as being missing. Things that should be made Off-the-Grid: Get Together - Smoreworthy Candles are Off-the-Grid. Why are the Photopollution Ceiling Light and Photopollution Beacon not when they look to be of the same style and are lit by candles? Movie Hangout - Lilacs & Lanterns, they are apparently paper craft lanterns according t o the description. Paranormal - Moment of Peace Tea Set Tray is lit by a candle. Things that should be labeled as "functional off-the-grid" and categorized under Off-the-Grid: Base Game - Bonsai Tree, Future Cube by Paltry Pedictions, Inc Get Together - Hot Shot Foosball Table City Living - All Murals Island Living - Kava Bowl Parenthood - Private Journal, Buildems Blocks Play Table Dream Home Decorator - Fantasy Play Tent Discover University - All Juice Kegs, Ping Pong Tables and the soccer ball High School Years - The football and cheerleading mats Spa Day - All yoga mats and meditation stools Growing Together - Games are Groovy! by Kindermade are labeled as "functional off-the-grid", but doesn't show up under the category. None of the other game are labeled or categorized as Off-the-Grid. Pretty much everything related to toddlers and younger should be Off-the-Grid. All the gramophones. The small one in Base Game could possibly be Off-the-grid as well, if the button works like a crank. All violins, guitars, pianos (not including keyboards) and pipe organs. Things that should be labeled as "functional off-the-grid" and categorized under Off-the-Grid, but with some exceptions: All punching bags and weight machines. (Except maybe the You Better Respect machine from Fitness Stuff.) Clocks are under electronics, but most should be Off-the-Grid. The ones that likely need power are the Strangerville Scrolling Decal Clock, the High School Years' Bread n' Butter Toaster Clock and The Comfy Gamer Kit's "Blast Off!" Alarm Clock. (The last two are digital.) While beds in general should be Off-the-Grid, wouldn't the Murphy beds from Tiny Living, the sleep pods from Get Famous and the Heart Bed from Love Struck likely use energy? 🤔 Suggestions of things that could be made Off-the-Grid: Base Game - Ovum Bath Sink should at least be Off-the-Grid (for those who want a kitchen counter sink) if The Patrician pedestal sink is considered Off-the-Grid. Laundry Day - DYI Sink, the name and description says all.14Views1like2CommentsImpossible to see through windows
Since the last patch when I am on a lot, residential or other, if the walls of the house are up and I try to look inside the building from the outside i can't. The glass of the windows appear white like the windows of the set dressing buildings.4Views0likes0Commentsan updated version from this pack idea
it's an updated version from this idea last year Suggestion: Stuff Pack for Selling Furniture in The Sims | EA Forums - 11251519 it's either a Game or a Stuff pack now that we're getting a "running a business" lot type soon what if we get a new dumpster and only find furnitures this time and get an already existing handy skill to fix either broken or damaged furnitures? (the only dumpster we've got is in "Eco Lifestyle" so i'd like to get an another one) and i want an option to create new furnitures like chairs, couches, beds, baths, desks, tables, fridge to name a few (there are lots of them that can be created of course but i'll spend hours on that idea if i mention each furnitures lol) and paint them from your liking, all kind of style and colour options (painting skill with just more options) maybe we get a "creating furnitures" venue for this pack idea (if not maybe an already existing pack called "community space" like they did with Evergreen Harbor that came with Eco Lifestyle as an option but a little differently?) once you created the furnitures, fixed the damaged or broken furnitures you can sell them so you earn money (actually fixing the furnitures can be in the basegame update, just an idea so it won't cost money if you have damaged furnitures) Aspirations: "Running the furniture shop/market" (money category) "Furnitures designer" (creativity category) it's kinda like the furniture version of "Home Chef Hustle" World: it doesn't have to come as a world but if it becomes a Game Pack maybe China? (or Egypt?) it's the same idea i shared last year, just more options for this pack idea lot challenge: to make damaged and/or broken furnitures appear all of a sudden (similair to the community space that comes with "Eco Lifestyle" and the sudden growing grasses that comes with Horse Ranch) unless it can match with a Expansion Pack i think it should be either in Game Pack or Stuff Pack i just have to think up a tittle name for this idea ("furniture making" maybe as a tittle name?) what do you think about an updated version from last year? finding damaged or broken furnitures you fix damaged or broken furnitures and/or you upgrade the furnitures you dye and style it for your likings you create your own furniture you sell the furnitures you have created and/or the furniture that's fixed which was damaged or broken if it becomes a Game Pack then this is perfectly made with my pack idea when running a shop (Super Keener Trait) Update: the most recent pack is gonna come out and my idea could've matched with "Businesses & Hobbies" oh well maybe who knows in the future if we get a new community lot it can match perfectly with running your own shop, i won't give up!293Views3likes7Comments[MWS] Wedding Venues not Listed as a Location when Planning a Wedding
Experiencing this bug archived here in latest build with all DLC packs, no mods/cc. The default Wedding Venue in Tartosa IS available, but no customly made ones. I did just check the lot, however, in case there were some new requirements for the venue - and it was acting as though the lot was a small business (even though it said Wedding Venue from the map). I reset it to Wedding Venue and it said about "deleting business areas" or something and now it shows up as expected. Thing is, this lot existed long before Businesses & Hobbies did, and has worked before. So something changed the lot with the inclusion of that pack, I guess. I put Build Mode and Live Mode because it's kinda both?7Views0likes0CommentsObjects Keep Getting Deleted Between Saves
Please help! This is getting really frustrating and makes me not want to play the game sometimes. A couple of objects (mostly lighting & clutter/decor ) keep disappearing between saves and reloads. I'm mostly a builder type of Sims player, so it's incredibly frustrating when I spend a week perfectly curating and making a room full of carefully selected objects/decor, for it to disappear one by one every couple of loads and reopen the game. It's gotten to the point where I have to upload every single room to my library and screenshot all 4 walls of each and every room in case an item gets deleted. Some rooms are perfectly unaffected, while others are missing lots of different items. They seem to go missing when on Live Mode, but I have noticed a couple missing when reloading or reopening into Build Mode. As mentioned, the items are mostly decorations such as plants, sculptures, clutter, and art (from what I've noticed). Both content from base game and packs and CC. I noticed this started happening at the beginning of last month, but disregarded it as I thought it could be fixed with the upcoming patches. Also, a lot of my CC is just randomly missing from my folder. I use Sims4MM to keep my folders updated and clean. There are folders of sets where some items were deleted, which I would never intentionally delete. And after downloading the same set, it shows on S4MM that the items are already in the folder, but they don't show up in the game or in the summary page of S4MM. Not sure if both are related but figured I'd add. Please help! Thanks!10Views0likes0CommentsIdea for Bookcases
I would love it if we could add all books to the bookcases, or have checkboxes so we could pick books to add multiple books at once to the bookcases. It gets really tedious having to add books over and over. Also, I think the libraries should be fully stocked with all the books. I mean, that's what libraries are for, isn't it?21Views0likes2CommentsSims buying off sales tables even though sales isn't the open business function
So I'm trying to run 4 small businesses out of one building. Two of them are a tattoo parlor and a jewelry store. The tattoo parlor is owned by one sim, and the jewelry store is owned by another. All of the jewelry store items for sale are on the display cases designated for selling items. The tattoo parlor's only function is tattooing, while the jewelry stores functions are browsing and buying items and doing gemology. Since we can only have one business open on the lot at a time I expected the only actions that would kick in would be the actions assigned to that particular business. However, when the Tattoo Parlor is open, even though the only activity is Tattooing they will go into the jewelry store. I expected they would go into the other buildings as I did read up on the lot functions with the small business so that in itself was not an issue. However, they are buying the jewelry even though the jewelry store, which does have the function of selling and purchasing items, is closed. So my sim who owns the jewelry store is not getting the sales because of this. At first, I tried the disabling sales on the shelves, which works but is very tedious to do every time the tattoo parlor is open. Especially since I have about 10 shelves in the store. I thought I found a good work around for this by locking the other business doors to everyone but the sim who owns it while one business is open. Which did work great at first. But then I started getting ghost customers at the tattoo parlor, and if the customer was a ghost they flew right through the walls and still purchased things. Which made me have to go right back and disable sales on the shelves again. I don't know if this is an issue with the sales function or an issue with the shelves themselves, but this is a very irritating flaw. I'm not sure if this would be considered a glitch or bug, but it certainly feels like one to me. So, I'm putting this here so hopefully it gets back to the Sims team and they can maybe fix it or find a workaround they can put in for us. I'm going to put in a no ghosts allowed sign for now and and see if that works. Hopefully this is something that can be re-worked though because I don't think I should have to disable sales to all my shelves every single time one business is open when sales is not supposed to be the function of that specific open business.15Views0likes1CommentWrong textures
Many build objects and clothing items have the wrong textures. Select colours seem to be corrupted. I've noticed this on a variety of items and it seems to be a duplicated texture from another item (plant patterns on a wardrobe, or a geometric pattern erasing the textures on a mirror) but it's not on every coloured version of an item. I've noticed this for a few weeks may be even a month.12Views0likes3Comments
