[GALLERY] 'Content not installed' warning with all content owned
I haven’t played this specific save in a few years. I made some changes to my sims’ house and lot, and saved it to my library. I then demolished a different lot, and when I tried to place my sims’ lot from the library, I get a message saying content is not installed and that I don’t own all the content. I own almost all DLC, and I own the content used in my sims’ house/lot. I’ve never used mods/cc on this save. I’ve tried repairing the game, and then saved the lot to my library again, and deleting the previous saved copy. I still get the same message when trying to place the lot from my library on a different lot. It’s a recent issue, I didn’t have any problems a few days ago on a different save. Had the strangest glitch the other day, where I couldn't place furniture in my sim's house in build mode. I kept getting the popup saying that I couldn't intersect other objects, even when I removed every other piece of furniture in the house. Then, when I got fed up and moved the room to make it smaller, it told me something had been added to my household inventory. When I checked, there was a debug version of a shroomie buddy, the small toy for children that comes with Enchanted by Nature. Thought that was weird, tried it again elsewhere in the house, and sure enough, two more appeared there after drawing walls. In total, I apparently had five little invisible debug toys that had somehow spawned on my lot. Is this happening to anyone else? Hello its not even been a day and I have found a bug. I am setting up a save file and in my empty build world I was going through all the new builds in Ondarion and bulldozing them. Every time I bulldozed or deleted a wall in the Lakeview apartments in a new or old save (one with mods one without) the exterior friezes would disappear and I couldn't get them back. Happy New Year and welcome to another Sims 3 community collaboration hosted by Hidehi2 , Sandraelle and soocoolsim ! Introducing Petite Alsace inspired by picturesque Strasbourg, Colmar and Ribeauville with a dual French and German blend of charming, flower-laden villages and half-timbered homes. We anticipate the completed world will be a lovely addition to your game. Experienced creators (Intermediate+) are invited to join us in creating builds to add to the base world. If you love decorating but building isn’t your forte, let us know and we'll try to build a shell for you. Everyone can experience Petite Alsace taking shape by downloading the base world and installing builds as they become available. Please keep an eye on the "News and Updates" post for milestones and links to new creations as they become available. Constructive comments throughout this event are also welcome, so don't be shy. Without further ado, onto the details below and come join in the fun! LOT LISTINGS Map A: Colmar (Medieval, half-timbered houses with flower-filled balconies) Map B: Ribeauville (Pastel, half-timbered 15th - 18th century houses) Map C: Ribeauville Outskirts (Farming area) Map D: Strasbourg (City area, mix of old and new buildings) Map E: Avenue du Rhin (Wine region) Map F: Route de Alsace (Rural area) CLAIMING OVERVIEW Download the empty Petite Alsace base world created by the talented Hidehi2. Take a look at the available lots using the Map posts as reference (see links above). Indicate you're on board and sign up for your first claim by replying on this thread with your chosen map lot reference # (eg A8). I will update the lists with claims and add download / media links when builds are completed. Every two weeks (around the 1st and 15th of the month) a new claiming period starting with a 'Claiming Day' post will begin. During this period, if you join the collaboration or have a build in progress on Claiming Day, you can claim 1 lot. For ongoing participants, if all previously claimed builds are completed and (no cc) download link(s) submitted by Claiming Day, you may claim up to 2 lots. BUILDING GUIDELINES Please stay within the theme of each map area and overall Alsace inspiration. You have creative freedom otherwise. Inspiration links at the top of this post may be helpful. All / any EA Expansion Packs, Stuff Packs and official Store Items can be used. Free EA Store Items are OK for use. Note: Some are no longer available for download so use at your discretion. NO third-party Custom Content is allowed. Please Custard Check your exported file before uploading to double check. We highly recommend play-testing your build before uploading to ensure no routing concerns and users can enjoy as intended. Do test placement of your final build. This helps identify any potential issues (e.g. windows / floor tiles out of place). To do this... export your build, save your game, delete the existing build, then replace with the exported version from your library. Take a careful look around and fix as needed. It will be useful for players if the Petite Alsace lot address is included in your build description on the Exchange, albeit optional. Do take the time to put your best foot forward to make your build(s) shine inside and out. Just be cautious about using a ton of clutter since that can add to lag when playing. Each build will be showcased with credit in video walkthroughs on YouTube once the world is completed. Once your build is available on the Sims 3 Exchange, please post a reply on this thread including: name of build / map reference and/or address / download link / cover picture / custard screenshot confirming no 3rd party custom content included. Optional! Link to additional picture site / thread. SIMS / HOUSEHOLDS This collaboration focuses on builds since the final world save file will be unpopulated, however we are happy to link to Sims / Households created for Petite Alsace. Petite Alsace builders can submit Sims / Households for their completed claims as well as Townie use. All / any EA Expansion Packs, Stuff Packs and official Store Items can be used. Free EA Store Items are OK for use. Note: Some are no longer available for download so use at your discretion. NO third-party Custom Content is allowed. Please Custard Check your exported file before uploading to double check. Once your Sim / Household is available on the Exchange, please post a reply on this thread including: name / map reference or address (or identify as Townie) / download link / 1 cover picture / custard screenshot confirming no 3rd party custom content included. Optional! Link to additional picture site / showcase thread. Looking forward to participation by the Sims 3 community! 😀 STORIES / VIDEOS Players may wish to enjoy this world as it evolves and we welcome links to any Petite Alsace story threads / blogs / media. After I place one item the next item I select won't place, it flips back to where it was previously, or is carries around by my mouse indefinitely. I found by clicking a different tool across the top like the eyedropper then going back to the select tool it will let me place another item, but only one. Then click on the eyedropper again and back to the select tool, for each item I need to move or place. Edit By Crinrict: Adjusted title to better reflect the issue12KViews246likes333CommentsBuy/Build: Can only manipulate one item
When I want to move or delete an item during game play I have to delete an item go into live mode back to build mode to them delete another item or move something around. Same when I want to delete out of household inventory. When I want to build I have to build a wall, click on a tool or cancel, click wall again to make a new wall and repeat over and over until the build is complete. And when I want to place furniture I have to place item, click a new tool then back to the move object tool again to move it or change it and repeat that process for all items on the lot. I am starting this thread because the new Creator Kits (part of the Creator Program) do not have their own specific category icon in the filter menu yet. This makes finding new items feel like a total scavenger hunt. Is anyone else struggling to find these items in the Build/Buy catalog?😩 The Search Bar Issue One common suggestion is to search by the creator's name or the kit name, but I have found that this does not work consistently. For example, when searching for SIMAMCC, the items do not appear in the search bar results. This makes it even harder to locate the content we just purchased. Suggestion: Missing Filter Category I am requesting that EA adds a dedicated "Creator Kits" or "Maker Program" checkbox in the Filter Menu. Currently, these items are buried under general Kits or mixed in with other content, making them nearly impossible to isolate. Suggestion: The Icon Issue The "Paintbrush" or "Maker" logo should appear clearly on the individual item thumbnails and within the filter list. Better visibility is essential for navigating the catalog, especially as more of these kits are released. Suggestion: Gallery Tagging I have also noticed that Creator Kits are currently hard to track on the Gallery. They do not always show up in the "Show Used Items" list, so you cannot easily see if a Gallery build uses these packs before downloading. Does anyone else feel like the UI needs an update for these specific packs? It would be great to see a dedicated symbol added so we can actually find our content!
