non tech savvy; mods installed but not showing in game play... pls help!!
brief backstory: I have been having issues with EA/sims since September. one of the updates was too large for my Macbook air. I googled..blahblahblah I buy an external drive, still doesn't work, I uninstall the game and go to redownload but can't bc its still too big or whatever for the computer, email EA, gets settled somehow whatever, ok, I have the game back. go to play and my saved profiles are gone and mods aren't showing, I try to get them back via google, nothing. sad but ok I remake a sim.. now present day. Mods not showing: I have checked off to enable mods and script mods. I have mccmd, nisa and **bleep** - main ones I want to play with the rest I can go without (adeepindigo, lumpinou, little ms sam, etc) but nothing is showing up when I go to play. I've uninstalled and reinstalled, enabling the mods is on, im pretty sure the mods are in the correct folder (ea<sims 4< mods), and no zip or rar, everything is script or package... I'm very clueless, haven't played sims in years so not savvy with mods or anything like that. Ive tried following google and YouTube instructions but nothing seems to help (probably user error) all the previous forums I've read also have not been helpful. if anyone can help teach me through it like I'm a child, I'd be forever grateful, thank you :-) signed, a sad computer illiterate elder millennialGame Crashes every now and Then

Seem to work fine with no mods. I have no idea if this has something to do with MCC or the game itself? Its driving me crazy for sure, and the game being almost unplayable. Have anyone else had similar issues with almost constant crashing and sometimes with the error message and found a solution on this problem? Question, i hope this is in the right place lol i hope this makes sense. okay so i made one sim and saved it to my gallery. i then redownloaded them into a new family. i cleared the sims entire CAS things off so he was totally nakey. i then rebuilt him without any of the sliders, clothes, accesories etc. put new hair and eyes mouth etc on him. saved him again as this new sim. a friend of mine went and dowloaded him onto her game. however every time she goes to play it says "mods missing" even though i gave her all the mods that he had. now is he saying that because she doesnt have all the sliders downloaded from the very original sim? even though everything is changed about it? or?[1.118] Inventories, fridges, bookshelves all empty on loading household

so i recently got the nsfw version of wonderful whims (idk if anyone here could help w this) for the first time, and when i got into the game, I tried making my male sim flirt with another male sim (in one of my played households) but got his advances rejected. then I tried to modify the orientation again in CAS but nothing changed. (most of my male sims are homosexual btw, but something might've bugged them to be of different sexualities, in which idrk.) initially I thought it was bcos wonderful whims (despite me manually disabling it thru sims 4 mod manager) could be conflicting with it. I deleted the mod itself, then went back in the game and tried changing again in CAS, yet nothing changed still. then I realised that the saves folder had the wonderful whims folder settings, so just to be safe I deleted that folder and tried the same steps again, but the orientations still get changed after leaving CAS. eventually I had to manually change the orientations thru lumpinou's sim info manager mod; it was working during the live mode but when I exited and rejoined the game, it still changed, and honestly it stresses me out. i dont know what else could be making my sims' sexual orientation bugged, because from what i've checked the mod itself is compatible with the 4th November update, and idk what else is conflicting with the mod itself aside from wonderful whims? does anyone else have the same problem?Some of my CC's were removed? not loading?
When I open the game the pop up of all the custom content downloaded comes up and everything's there however when I go into build mode it says they're not available or not suitable? A bunch of things are just missing in the house because of this and I'm not sure what to do.Script mods................... HELP!
SO.. I have discovered another problem. I unchecked the script mod option in my game options on SIMS 4 it then allows me to play, but then when I allow script mods, when loading a game it jumps back to the neighbourhood screen.. anyone know why the script mods are letting this happen? I have deleted all script mods on my game, so no idea why this is still happening? I have deleted any broken mods or CC that were highlighted on a thread so I am completely stuck.Sim not saving correctly / changing features in CAS
Whenever I create a sim or load one of my preexisting ones their features completely change. It's not a mod/cc problem as it happens with mods disable. You can see in the left hand corner my sims appearance has changed just because I created a new sim. This has been happening for over a month and makes the game unplayable.
