What does this error mean?

game fails to load when entering live mode
When I try to move a sim into a lot or play as a townie, the game shows an error message that is something like 'Game failed to load. Error code:(i don't remember). Recommend restarting the game.' I restarted the computer and tried to play as a townie but the same error code appeared. I use cc and mods, but they are all up to date. Does anyone know how to fix this?
lights not working
auto-lights do not work, and using the 'turn on'/'turn off' option does nothing either. lights in my houses randomly are on or off, and can't be changed. i have tried fully replacing the lot and replacing each light in build/buy to no avail. this only happens in my played lot, not in any community lots or other sims' homes etc.
Infinite loading screen after main menu, unable to load save.
Hi! A few days ago, I started getting an infinite loading screen when trying to load my family's latest save. I tried the 50/50 method several times. I discovered that my family would only load after deleting the custom furniture content folder from the "mods" folder. I was sure the problem was a corrupted furniture set, but it turned out that wasn't the case: I moved all the mods from that folder to the desktop in small groups, and when I opened the game and clicked "Load Save," it loaded without a problem, and I was able to play as that family. This works for each furniture mod group SEPARATELY. But when I moved all the furniture-related custom content back to the Mods folder, the save froze again, and the loading process continued endlessly. Besides the 50/50 method, I've already tried updating all furniture to DirectX 1 in Sims 4 Studio, clearing the cache and replacing the resource.cfg file, and resetting the game to factory settings (then replacing the new "mods," "saves," and "tray" folders with the old ones), but this ultimately didn't help. I'm not sure the problem is with the mods, because if I create a new save with a new family, it loads without a problem. If the problem is with the corrupted save (the one with my main family), then why does it load without a problem when I delete the "furniture" folder from the "mods" folder? I don't understand anything((. I would be grateful for any other solutions to this problem, as none of the above methods helped me.
Endless Loading Screen
Im getting fed up since the update before last (2 weeks or so) My game hasnt been playable for a few weeks now. My orignal save file lets me get to the world i last played in but when i try to go into live mode, it does the start up live mode /welcome music as if the game will open into live mode normally but it keeps doing the endless loading screen and i cant get into buildmode at all. BUT when i made a new save, and go into build mode it lets me. but then when i try livemode, the same thing happens with the endless loading screen. ive taken my mods out doing the 50/50 . made a new mod folder and slowly added everything in. no difference. All my mods seem updated; better exceptions doesnt even come up, but ive got a lastcrash report. my graphics card and drivers are all up to date as well now.. i assume its a mod issue or a corrupted save?? but i cant figure out which. its driving me nuts. unless it isnt a mod issue? please someone help??
Random townies marry my played sims
This resulted in that one had two husbands and another couple had two wives. I really don't like this. I don't want random townies in funny clothes and makeup, several generations older or younger just suddenly interfere with my since many generations played families. Now I have had to untick all romantic interactions between all sims to avoid this, which means that not even my played sims can have any romantic interactions with eachother, which I want them to have so that they can find eachother and eventually maybe get married. Is this by game design? I don't want this at all.
last exception interpretation
hello, my game keeps throwing this error: Last Module Called: picker_interaction.py Last Function Called: _get_objects_internal_gen Error message: Exception during call to test method on <class 'sims4.tuning.instances.bookshelf_Spells_MagicTome_Read_Picker'> (TypeError: 'NoneType' object is not iterable), CategoryID: picker_interaction:2725 even whilst my sims are not interacting with any magic tomes? for reference the household i am playing in whne the exception fires has a werewolf, spellcaster, their child (human/dormant wolf) and a cat. i have suspicions that it may be the Funcitonal Spellbook mod by deathpoke1qa causing a tuning error as it hasn't been updated since 2021, will try without the mod and see if exception happens again. just don't know how to read these last exception and if it turns out its not the Functional Spellbook then i'm not sure attached is LastException.txt Thanks!Exceptions Issue
Hello! I have better exceptions in my game and it keeps popping up this exception every 5 minutes: Possible Cause: picker_interaction Reason: Exception during call to test method on <class 'sims4.tuning.instances.autonomous_bookshelf_read_picker_HungryForLove'> (TypeError: 'NoneType' object is not iterable) I do use mods, but I have gone through all of them and made sure they were updated. I am not quite sure how to fix the exception. I have restarted my computer and restarted the game, tried ignoring the exception, and still it persists. It doesn't tell me what the exact problem is, and I can't make sense of the reason.
Sheet Music Won't Appear
My Sim sits at the keyboard and starts writing a song but the sheet music never appears in her inventory. I even had her ignore everything and complete a song but it still didn't appear. She is at level 8 in piano. I have done it in the past with another sim on a grand piano, guitar, and violin and had no problems. Is it because she is using a keyboard or does she need a level 9 or is it a bug? HELP me please.
Sims not moving and endless loading
I am having exactly this weirdly specific issue, right down to the being able to go into build mode but not do very much. Can't switch between household or save or quit without endless loading screen. Has happened to me twice now in different bars/clubs so wondered if it was a glitched townie. Only with this household so far. Playing on a new macbook with lots of RAM/storage. I do have a couple of mods (Mccc and lumpinou) but they've been updated regularly and never given me any problems before, ive been playing very regularly since the last update. The one thing which changed lately is i just bought life and death a few days ago, right before it first happened and it was odd that someone in the comments mentioned life and death.
custom content shows in mods list but not in create-a-sim
hello! i am currently having an issue where my sims 4 recognizes my mods and all the custom content, meaning they all show up in the mods list in the beginning and are enabled, but none of these cc appear in create a sim (for example all the hairs i downloaded are not there) i have deleted and tested using only one, restarted the game, removed the filters, and made sure everything was enabled. not sure what to do from here was i would like the content, has anyone experienced this and found a fix?households not showing up on copperdale HSY sims 4
I have the high school years add on, i want to play in copperdale but the households arent showing up?? like i click in copperdale and i cant even move any household because there arent any household lots, nothing. anyone can help me? i dont know whats going on.
Reaper Career is Broken. Help?
I recently bought Life and Death EP and my sim cannot progress in the active Reaper career because everytime they Scry for Travel to a lot to reap, the lot is has no body. I've tried different sims across comepletely different saves, but this issue persists. It's pretty much impossibe to miss a dead body because the reaper sim ONLY travels to completely empty lots. Is this normal? Help? INFO: Macbook (M1, 2020, 8GB Memory) MODS: 2.95 GB
