Endless Loading Screen
Im getting fed up since the update before last (2 weeks or so) My game hasnt been playable for a few weeks now. My orignal save file lets me get to the world i last played in but when i try to go into live mode, it does the start up live mode /welcome music as if the game will open into live mode normally but it keeps doing the endless loading screen and i cant get into buildmode at all. BUT when i made a new save, and go into build mode it lets me. but then when i try livemode, the same thing happens with the endless loading screen. ive taken my mods out doing the 50/50 . made a new mod folder and slowly added everything in. no difference. All my mods seem updated; better exceptions doesnt even come up, but ive got a lastcrash report. my graphics card and drivers are all up to date as well now.. i assume its a mod issue or a corrupted save?? but i cant figure out which. its driving me nuts. unless it isnt a mod issue? please someone help??
Wish to report a mod creator
Okay so there is a sims 4 mod creator on patreon that has all of their mods locked behind paywalls and are almost never released. Any ideas on how to report them? Tried the ea support route but that didn't help at all. Link to the mod creator's patreon https://www.patreon.com/cw/pearlv/posts
Cas UI Issue
Just to break it down since it’s been a rollercoaster… Issue: The CAS menu does not show any icons (except the top right ones) upon opening via cheats or mirror [refer to picture attached]. Tested with ‘cas.fulleditmode’ on and off. Cannot edit anything, use any of the icons, or open the menu. Forced to close through task manager. Triggers: The only consistency is that it opens when all mods currently installed are present. However… The lot51 core mod, MCCC mod, Srsly’s Modding Resource mod, Basemental Venue List mod, XML Injector Script mod, UI Cheats Extension mod, and TurboDriver mods DO NOT cause this bug and have been tested numerous times on different saves to verify this. Doing the 50/50 method did not work as the bug did not come up when the mods were split. The bug did not come up 100% of the time. It was seemingly at random with no clear identifiable trigger among multiple saves. The Better Exceptions mod detects an error upon opening the bug but does not display it, instead infinitely loading. This bug has persisted for the past 2 weeks, just about, and inhibits any gameplay involving sim customization. Anyone have a fix?Expanded Mermaids Mod Issue
So I’ve been trying to install the Expanded Mermaids mod by SpinningPlumbobs for my partner (and will be trying for myself when I’m home in about a week) though it persistently is giving an error through the MC Command Center mod and the mod doesn’t work at all if you continue to play the game normally. There is also an error from the Better Exceptions mod (another error detection mod) that seems to target a specific file(?) from the Expanded Mermaids mod but I’m unsure what it is or what it does. Recent comments would suggest no one else is having this issue and I’ve tried to follow the installation instructions as closely as possible so I have no idea what the problem is. SpinningPlumbobs Plantsims mod works perfectly fine and carries a similar format to the mermaids mod. Any modders or troubleshooters have any ideas on how to solve this issue? I’ve already went through the mods and determined it is in fact solely the Expanded Mermaids mod that is causing problems.
[HSY] High School Day Not Ending On Time
Ongoing issue for a few months now, I kept hoping it would get patched with recent updates but it hasn't. When I follow my teen sims to high school, the school day event does not end at 3pm as it is supposed to. Instead, the event timer continues to pulse and sit on empty, and all the Sims are completely frozen until I manually end the school day. It's run all the way until 5pm a couple times, but when I manually end the school day my Sim is penalized for ditching class. She'd been there two hours past class end 😭 I do use high school related mods but the issue is recurring even with removing them, and the creator themself has confirmed the issue is on the game side. Reaper Career - unable to select computer interactions during active workday
What the title says. Anytime I do an active workday and the tasks tell me to "order supplies" or "file death certificate," none of the computers or slablets have the options available. It's been happening for a few irl days, the game has been fully closed and reopened multiple times. I have some mods, but I can't imagine any of them interfering with a select type of active workday tasks. Has anyone else experienced this? Is it a me thing and I'm missing something obvious, or is it a bug? Thanks!
Same bug
This is the second time that I've gotten this bug/error just trying to play without any cc installed on my computer. I have no idea if this has anything to do with a piece in the game or the packs that I have, but it's frustrating to me because I haven't even been able to play the Bridgerton event at all.
White Screen freezing entering CAS+
I do have some mods, but I don't have any mods effecting CAS in my game. When I enter CAS it goes to a white screen then never leaves it. This just happens occassionally but it's happened enough since the last update, I'm not sure is anyone else having this issue?
Broken Trait Mod not Found
Hello, recently I have been trying to fix my The Sims 4 game after the patch in may. I thought everything finally could work, but when I opened the last family I have played with on CAS it doesn't work. I have TwistedMexi's Better Exceptions mod. This is the result of the scanning that I get every time I try to open in CAS my household (photo). If someone could help me that would be awesome.
Young Ghosts Return Thread plus my other mods
I had to remake this thread since 1 edit to correct stuff since It was way outdated got it falsely removed by auto mod and wanted to get the main page up to date. So I have to remake it. I'm going to use the info from mod the sims to make it easier on myself. This mod brings back the old days where you can cheat Younger sims to be ghosts. With the Life and death update. The sims team restricted on which ages can be which type of Ghosts. Which made Toddler, Infants, adult pets and baby pets to no longer be ghosts. This mod allows the old days again so they can be ghosts again. There are side effects like stretching from young meteor ghosts doing the death animation. Toddlers walking slow but other then that it works well. Toddlers who have the laughter trait can make people playful like adult. This will also fix certain features like The premade Ghost Dog Captain Whittaker and fix the wishing well issues when you get a Ghost Child from there. I made this mod personally but I had people ask me from places to share it. Pets can only be Old age for reasons. I will say this. Bugs. I don't want to get this one removed and that might have been the reason. It brings the old days. They still can't die but you add the ghost traits with Cheats like the trait equip cheat. MCCC or UI cheats. The traits were enabled for them so all ghost types in the normal game are enabled for them but not death. You just have to add the traits to them with cheats like how it was before Life and death patch. If you use Young Ghosts Return and want to upload them to the Gallery or somewhere. Make sure to include this in the description. #YoungGhostsReturn That way. People will know the mod used in the upload with young ghosts and why it's marked as custom content. It will help a lot and clear things up. This thread you will see updates and the status of the mod in the comments. Plus this thread can also be talked about my other mods including upcoming ones. Other Mods More grown up toddlers (Toddlers don't use nappies/diapers on their own unless bladder is -75 for level 1 or 2 potty skilled toddler or -100 for level 3. No more changing them since it doesn't add diaper load points but tanks their Hygiene to -100. Also hides the use nappy/diaper self interaction.) No Awake for too long Infants (Stops infants from getting the awake for too long moodlet which I stopped the infant awake time status from decaying.) Upcoming Mods None at the momentSomehow broke my game.
So, the other day, I downloaded some new mods + cc and after, I started having issues where I can’t actually play the game besides CAS. When I try to select a household/sim and hit play, it takes me back to the world select screen and usually has a weird blue box (pic included) on the bottom left. When I try to add a lot from the gallery I get the error message in the pic and it changes the name of the lot but it remains the previous lot (pic included). It’s been 3 days of going through and removing all the mods and cc I downloaded and nothing is working, and I’m genuinely going insane, I just want to play the game 😭. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
