I am having endless loading it is taking forever to load into my sims house from the main screen with little mods since the March 23, 2026 update when I go in vannila there is no issues only with cc/mods. Something corrupted the game with the update that I cannot use my cc/mods. hello ,I've been testing for days which mods or cc have been causing the pie menu to not show up. i cant click on any of my sims, I've testing all my mods to see which mod is breaking my game and i haven't figured out which one it is. I can't open up game options or anything i can't make any changes because of this. It was fine until i updated. Yall need to tell me what's going on cause something is always messing up this game with these freaking updates. Bad enough alot of stuff is still not yet fixed. Now I can't even use my game options. Whenever I create a sim or load one of my preexisting ones their features completely change. It's not a mod/cc problem as it happens with mods disable. You can see in the left hand corner my sims appearance has changed just because I created a new sim. I recently began using mods, and I randomly get error messages about a mod suddenly being disabled, broken, or otherwise unable to load for play. I'm prepared for that, as there are ample warnings in place to make players aware of such potential issues. However, which ones are nonfunctional remain a mystery, and when you have beaucoup mods, it becomes exceedingly daunting to figure out which ones got cut. Having an in-game list (like the one that shows you which mods are active at the beginning of gameplay) that clearly indicates the rejected mods would cut through the guesswork and time that could otherwise be spent playing S4. After the June 30th update, in-game time has shifted forward by about 14 hours. My game time showed 7:09 am on Wednesday when I loaded up for the first time after the update, which it wasn't when I logged off after last playing. Neither of my sims would be awake at that time, yet they were up and still doing what I had left them doing previously. I don't remember the actual time it was when I last logged off, but it was late afternoon on Tuesday, around 5pm. Festival times have also shifted, seemingly by about eight hours either forward or backward, depending on the festival. Geek Con is from 6pm to 12am while it previously ran from 10am to 4pm. The Humor and Hijinks festival is from 8am to 2pm instead of in the evening time. The Flea Market is from 6pm to 2am instead of in the afternoon. The Romance and Spice Festivals are from 8am to 4pm when they used to be evening events. The Festival of Snow runs from the oddly specific times of 5:59am to 2:59pm. The festivals are also shown as less frequent on the calendar. I saw no mention of that in the patch notes. The San Myshuno festivals seem to be only occurring every four weeks instead of every two, and some are on different days. Geek Con was always on Tuesday. It's now on Thursday. Windows 11 PC Shows up in Modded & Unmodded games Game Version: 1.119.109.1020 I own all packs. Affects #AdventureAwaits Likey's Lumber Twice-Cut Single Bed from the Adventure Awaits pack hasn't been functional since the pack's release, even after 2 patches. Does no one notice this?? Anytime I place the bed, the only options are to set it up like a light, there are no sleep options! The screenshot below is from a modded game, but I have played with a fresh Sims4 folder with zero Mods/CC and the bed still acts like a light! I have cleared caches, deleted Resource, repaired the game. Of course you won't read any of this and will tell me to do it again... We have so few rustic single beds, I want to use this please! I tested all the other beds in the pack, they all work correctly. EDIT: Well now on a fresh folder the bed is working. Hi everyone, Yesterday, I came across Victor Andrade’s amazing Direct Controls Mod (which adds WASD and first/third-person movement to the game). As many of you know, this legendary mod has been broken for a long time following Victor's tragic passing. I saw some discussions about people wanting to update it, but since no working version has been released yet, I decided to dive into the code and try to fix it. [ Disclaimer ] English is not my native language, so I am using AI to help translate this post. Also, I used Gemini to assist me through the code debugging and fixing process. The mod is currently functional on the latest patch, but it still needs more thorough testing. I wanted to share the technical changelog of what has been addressed so far and open it up for community playtesting. [ Sims 4 Direct Controls Mod Update Changelog ] Python Script (.ts4script) Fixes: Indentation and Logic Restructuring (main.py): Corrected a severe decompiler nesting bug. The active movement code and key processing loop were incorrectly nested inside dead code blocks (like active_sim is None or portal_traverse_location is not None). The entire movement loop has now been properly aligned and is functional. Starred Unpacking for Portals (portals.py): Patched a crash at line 52 caused by EA updates that expanded get_portal_locations() to return more than 5 values. Implemented starred expression unpacking (there_entry, there_exit, back_entry, back_exit, *_ = locations), making the script more resilient to potential future tuple length updates by EA. Signature Compatibility (settings.py): Updated inject_load_data_into_class_instances to properly accept *args, **kwargs. This resolves initialization crashes, infinite map-screen loading screens, and blue UI glitches caused by updates to InstanceManager. Decompiler Artifact Cleanups: Cleaned up standard decompiler syntax errors, such as fixing the None slicing bug on _get_filename_from_path in settings.py, and removing the illegal return outside a function in init.py. Package (.package) and GFX UI Fixes: Obsolete HUD Overrides Removed: Deleted the outdated, pre-compiled gametray.gfx and playercheats.gfx from the package. This helps prevent severe UI cracking, missing menus, and DX11 screen tearing introduced in recent game updates. Modern GFX Code Injection: Extracted the updated gametray.gfx directly from the current game files using S4S. I then used JPEXS to merge Victor's original ActionScript 3 keyboard event listeners (HandleUpdate, HandleKeyDown, HandleKeyUp inside widgets.GameTray.GameTrayMain) along with all necessary imports (InputTrigger, KeyCodes, InputActionPriorities, InputActionManager). Result: This native injection restores F1 toggle and WASD keyboard controls for both Windows and macOS players, while keeping the game HUD intact. Temporary UI Simplification: Please note that the deeply customized UI settings/features have been temporarily removed to ensure game stability. You can refer to Victor's original Itch.io page ( https://victorandrade.itch.io/direct-controls-for-the-sims-4 ) to see how the original interface functioned. [ Known Issues and Current Bugs (Work in Progress) ] While the core movement and UI functions are operational in initial tests, this is still a work in progress. Here are the issues identified so far: Sim Flickering / Stuttering and Excessive Movement Speed: The Sim may visually flicker or jitter while moving, and the overall movement speed is extremely fast. Cause: This is due to dc.tick executing directly within the game's frame-rate dependent Zone.update loop. High FPS monitors make the position calculations update too rapidly, causing jittering and super-speed. Missing Locomotion Animations (Sliding): Sometimes, the Sim will slide across the floor in a static pose without playing the walking or running animation. Cause: The custom ASM quackgames:dc_locomotion animation element sometimes fails to trigger or flush correctly under the new animation engine updates. Position Rollback on Exit Without Saving: If you exit the game without saving, the Sim's position will rollback to where they were before you enabled Direct Control, even if you moved them far away. Cause: Forcing position coordinates via Python active_sim.transform updates the visual location instantly, but the game does not permanently commit this to the save file's persistent routing database unless a standard save or pathfinder update occurs. Occasional Movement Freeze (Unable to Walk): The Sim may sometimes get stuck and refuse to move at all when pressing keys. Cause: This happens when the Sim enters an un-routable area where validate_location fails, or when the can_move() function temporarily blocks movement due to posture or action queue state conflicts. Everytime my game loads my eletronics, lights and Kichens appliences disappears. If I go in game to another lot when I came back all of them are missing Help me please!!!!! If you saved without your appliances and and plumbing and electronic loaded, you might need to load an earlier version of your save. As of the new June 30th update, the day and night cycles are broken. For example, if my sim was supposed to go to work at 10am, they now go at 10pm instead. Same with school and events. The world appears correctly (daylight/darkness), the clock in the UI matches it, the timings on the UI like in the work/school panel are all correct. But the sims go off to work/school/etc at night instead of in the day, swapping AM for PM. I have never used mods to shift any time lengths or anything of the kind and there was no issue until the update. As much as I have loved the sims I am really starting to hate this new thing of opening the sims just fine for a few hours or less and play and creat a sim and lot, just for me to close and take a break and not being able to open your game due to corrupted mods. Mods that I was just playing totally fine with that has built my game into the way I want it that I now have to delete because it has now corrupted the game all of a sudden. Doesn’t matter how new and old the mods are they just all of a sudden are not playable after playing with them for hours. Please make this make sense sims because at this point I have been wasting money, time and effort into making this game more enjoyable for me just for all my work to be deleted and “corrupted”.
