cas background broken
Hello, I am experiencing a persistent graphical and UI issue in Create-A-Sim that started after a recent update. The Issues: There is a large, glowing green/blue swirl effect covering the CAS background and the Sim. The Trait selection bubbles are completely missing or showing as empty squares/question marks. What I have already tried: Testing without Mods: I moved my entire Mods folder to the desktop and deleted localthumbcache.package. The game worked perfectly, so I know the issue is a mod. Partial Cleanup: I have already removed More CAS Columns, UI Cheats Extension, default eyes, font replacements, and CAS lighting mods. Cache and Repair: I have cleared my cache and ran the Repair tool in the EA App multiple times. GShade: Toggled GShade off and on, but the green swirl persists when the Mods folder is active. Current Status: Even after removing the obvious UI culprits, the glitch returns as soon as I put my remaining mods back in. I am having trouble identifying which stealth mod or override could be causing this specific green background artifact. Has anyone else seen this specific green swirl lately? System Specs: OS: Windows Game Version: 1.110.265.1030 (January 2026 Update)

I’ve had this error code pop up before and honestly it lead me to delete the sims and completely reinstall and start over. It happened again and I’m trying to fix it this time. I’ve tried deleting all the plates , I’ve updated all mods , I’ve moved my household and etc nothing works. Please help.Imaginary Friends Issue
Hello, I got this pop up in the attachment yesterday. I was in build mode. I found out today that it was a bug related to Imaginay Friends. I do play with mods, but none of them to my knowledge has to to do with imaginary friends. Or it could be another mod that effects this. Anyway, since I am a rotational player, I wasn't planing on using Imaginary Friends for this household. But there was another household that I played with a few days ago (In the same save), that did.
One Specific Lot Not Loading!
So, basically the title. After the update, the lot won't open no matter what I do. I tried everything, deleting cache, moving the family out, uninstalling a couple problematic mods, running Better Exceptions, looking on old forums etc. No matter anything I do, this one specific lot will not load at all. I don't know why, every other lot works fine, but it's just this one. I get stuck on infinity loading and then I have to force stop the game. Any and all help is appreciated.
Can't open the game after MC Command Center Installation
I've tried to open it through Steam and through EA but everytime I do, it says I'm 'playing' the game but no actual pop-up for the game shows up. This only happened after I downloaded MC Command Center which I find strange as I have downloaded into before in the past and this is the first time this has happened to me. I'm not getting an error code either - I just straight up can't open the game..
Height slider not working on male sims only
Up until a few days ago my height slider was working fine and all of a sudden stopped working on my male sims only. Any sims that I had changed their height before are stuck at that height and cannot be edited bigger or smaller. I can edit all my female sims fine. I took out every slider except for the height slider and it still does not work. Is this happening to anyone else or does someone have a fix? I do play with mods and cc.
EA Error Message on Startup
Hello! I've never had this issue until today, a pop up saying 'Cannot start because game data is missing or damaged.' showed up... Using the 50/50 method (for a while) I narrowed it down to this specific file being the issue: AcanthusSims_AF_FourCurlsTall1770sCoiffure I've tried simfileshare AND the drive (found here), but neither file version worked... I don't know what happened, any idea of how I can get an uncorrupted(?) or working file of this hair? Please and thanks!
Sunblind Installation
Hi, first post on here - I've looked to see if the answer to my question is on the forum already and I cannot find anything so here goes: I recently installed the Sunblind lighting mod but did it incorrectly (I know this because I was met with infinite loading screen when trying to resume my game) at first so after researching I repaired my game as I read this resets those folders to their original state. I then started from scratch by redownloading the sunblind mod and oh so carefully installing it and I'm very sure I did it correctly this time. However, my game is still greeting me with endless loading screens when trying to resume my game. Please help me!! My game was finally fixed and fun to play now I've wrecked it, any solutions are very welcome :) Thanks in advance :)Is it still safe to play with The Gold Sim's doll mods and her other mods?
None of her mods have been updated for at least three years. Since I can't figure out how to navigate this site due to accessibility issues as mentioned in another post on these forums (which still never resolved my concern) I can't find any post regarding these mods. I just want someone to confirm who is not an average player that these are broken or not. I am not getting errors so that's not what this is about. I do however after running several reports have seen many tuning issues with the mods. Yet it's not triggering any exceptions. I just don't know how much longer these mods will be usable since it's been so long after several large patches. If anyone can suggest other mods besides Ravasheen, Pandasama, and Cepzid (since I have both) would appreciate it as well.
Young Ghosts Return Thread 2.0
I had to remake this thread since 1 edit to correct stuff since It was way outdated got it falsely removed by auto mod and wanted to get the main page up to date. So I have to remake it. I'm going to use the info from mod the sims to make it easier on myself. This mod brings back the old days where you can cheat Younger sims to be ghosts. With the Life and death update. The sims team restricted on which ages can be which type of Ghosts. Which made Toddler, Infants, adult pets and baby pets to no longer be ghosts. This mod allows the old days again so they can be ghosts again. There are side effects like stretching from young meteor ghosts doing the death animation. Toddlers walking slow but other then that it works well. Toddlers who have the laughter trait can make people playful like adult. This will also fix certain features like The premade Ghost Dog Captain Whittaker and fix the wishing well issues when you get a Ghost Child from there. I made this mod personally but I had people ask me from places to share it. Pets can only be Old age for reasons. I will say this. Bugs. I don't want to get this one removed and that might have been the reason. It brings the old days. They still can't die but you add the ghost traits with Cheats like the trait equip cheat. MCCC or UI cheats. The traits were enabled for them so all ghost types in the normal game are enabled for them but not death. You just have to add the traits to them with cheats like how it was before Life and death patch. If you use Young Ghosts Return and want to upload them to the Gallery or somewhere. Make sure to include this in the description. #YoungGhostsReturn That way. People will know the mod used in the upload with young ghosts and why it's marked as custom content. It will help a lot and clear things up. This thread you will see updates and the status of the mod in the comments.
