Mods folder gone
I just got a new laptop and i was redownloading sims 4 however the folders in file explorer are all different and there's no mods folder, i googled solutions and tried everything but i still can't get custom content to work, its set up in two folders - typically you would go through electronic arts > the sims 4 > mods however my sims 4 folder is not in electronic arts and is instead in a folder called EA games, i've tried making mods folders in both and it still won't work, i also cannot merge the folders so now i'm lost on how to solve this.
Tray files
Hi, I'm downloading all kinds of cc rn and 3 of them were tray files. i put them directly into the tray file, no sub file . I joined the game and didn't saw the sim in the gallery even though I also pressed cc contained . Maybe I'm looking in the wrong place for the tray file? I tried to do everything ,but nothing seems to work and for addition I play sims 4 on a macbook air ,so Idk if it is the reason why the tray files don't work? thank you.
Game Bug Help Needed - Exception Raised During Test Event
I have been getting this better exceptions report each time I restart my game Category ID: cpp_message.py:167. I have turned off all my CC except Better exceptions. and I have repaired my game in Steam. However I still get the same BE report when I start my game. It happens on my main game play and on my test game. Exception date 2023-08-11 "No mods are installed, so it is likely this is an official game bug..." Possible cause : cpp_message Reason: Exception raised while trying to run a test event in test-events.py (indexError:list assignment index(0)out of range) MCCC not installed. mod count: packages 0 scripts 0 Do you still recommend moving the entire sims fold out to back up and starting a new sims 4 folder? help with the health redux mod
hi everyone! i have the GTW healthcare overhaul and i can book an appointment, access the pharmacy and everything goes well however when i buy the medication from the pharmacy i get a notification that they are in my inventory (the notification pope up with a blank picture which is weird) and when i check they are not there and i can’t access them whatsoever, can someone please helpGame isnt loading.
Hey, so. Everything was alright, i played with cc, without any problems. Today its said i had some corrupted files, so i deleted them everywhere that i could, mods folder, disc, ect. But then my game completely stopped working. Anytime i try to launch the sims, it goes straight to ea games launcher, and when i try to launch it through the play button there, it reopens the launcher. Its not letting me enter the sims. I have already tried to fix it by following youtube tutorials but to no avail. Any ideas why this might be happening? Please inform me, thanks.
Roof edge see through
Heyy, I build this yesterday and it looked completely fine but now when I reopened it the roofing on my house became see through, changing or removing the edge doesn't help and im not looking to replace the entire build. My mods are updated I have betterbuildbuy and tool. Thanks in advance for any help!'Application not responding' when trying to open the Sims 4
My Sims 4 won't open. I know it's not broken CC because I recently updated them... It worked when CC was disabled but I tried repairing everything but it won't work... I remember asking EA support a few months ago and something about clearing cache and something more complicated worked but I can't remember it for the life of me and now I'm stuck :( PS. I updated my game just now and I suspect that might've been the reason idk tho.
Extra thumbnails with red X's?
So, I don't guess it's an actual issue. It's just doesn't look appealing to me, but I don't think it causes any issues in game, as far as I can see? I like to test cc a couple of pieces a time, and that's what I was doing with a content creator's cc, the wallpaper that was in the set was just a big colorful question mark(s) on the wall so I fixed it with S4Studio. But now it's produced two new thumbnails that are listed as custom content and show up as just red X's, they're both called "simple siding" and they appear as "siding" when placed against a wall. I've been trying to figure out how to get rid of them, if possible? Or is this an issue the creator would have to address themselves? Again, they don't appear to affect anything: it's just annoying.Moustache / Facial Hair Glitch
I ran a batch fix through Sims 4 Studio, forgot to remove my default folder prior to and now my sim has a permanent moustache. Usually if I wash her face or brush teeth, it'll come off but then after about 30 mins it automatically shows again. When I go into CAS nothing shows.. I turned off body and facial hair growth as well via MCC. HELP!!
Sims showing red/white/black with ? marks.
When I go to CAS and even just load into a world save, sims will show up with no clothes/hair and will just be red/white with ? marks, If I load a character from my uploads in gallery it doesn't happen but trying to make a new character or any characters that exist around the neighborhood will show up as bugged. I'm not sure which mod is causing this.Event rewards disappear
I completed the blast from the past event, but whenever I delete any cache files, all of the rewards disappear from my game. At first, restoring the old cache files restored the rewards, but now even that's not working. I haven't touched my "accountDataDB.package" file which I was told is where all the rewards are stored. However, support told me that it was changed so my rewards are stored in my account, not any files. Troubleshooting beforehand: I just checked again with no mods and cc, and the rewards are there. But then I tried removing only my mods and then only my cc, and they disappear with both. it seems like something about having a modded game is conflicting with the rewards, even though I haven't changed anything about my mods folder and it was working fine when I was playing earlier the same day of the bug (yesterday). I tired to create a new sims 4 folder and the rewards came back, but when I tried to add back my tray and saves, they disappeared. So I removed my saves and tray and they are still gone.Cas cc disorganized.
Does anyone else have disorganized cc accessories after one of the recent updates? For example, I can't see some of my cc accessories in the main accessories category. I have to open their specific necklace and glasses, and piercings categories to find them. I can see piercings in the main tab though. But they are all tagged correctly. This happens with only cas cc installed, no external mods or script mods.
Traits Panel Not Appearing
Hello! After updating my game I have been unable to see the traits panel or choose any traits for my sim unless I select randomize. Even then I still cannot see them when randomized. I removed the few mods/cc I had and also un-installed and re-installed my game, and they are still not appearing. Someone posted about this issue a couple weeks ago on here as well but did not share how they were able to fix it yet. Any ideas for what else I should do??
