Can't load into household
I know that everyone's been dealing with this issue. I have tried looking through my mods. I have tried repairing the game. I open it through the EA launcher only. I don't want to lose my previous game progress. I don't know what to do. Apparently Midnitetech career mods still work. I have a headache from trying to fix this basically all day. Please just help me load my game. I have the Better Exceptions mod, I downloaded it just for the this. I don't know how to use it without loading into a household. Please, man.No Screen For Gameplay
After updating all my mods and several reinstalling of Sims and EA App, I still cannot play any type of gameplay or build buy. My screen is a blueish green and anything that pops up on the screen remains. I have no mods or anything installed. This has been happening since the August update and its very frustrating please fix your game!!!!!SolvedEyes/Eyelids Issues (Patch 1.110.265/2.01)
Hello, Since my bug report been archived and lost in the deep mountain, I restart a new one with all the updated ressources. TESTED WITH AND WITHOUT MODS/CLEAN SAVE, THIS BUG OCCURS ALL THE TIME. I am a modder and an animator and it seems that the eyelids doesn't translate correctly in the game like it used to be since this bug was introduced, and it's still there with the new patch. When the sim looks downside, the bottom eyelids don't move at all, making sims looks creepy (the eyes go inside the eyelid). I did some animations with the eyelids moving down while the eyes are looking down, and the animation from the eyelids doesn't translate correctly in the game at all. It affects any animations in the game right now. This is an example using CAS with maxis animations, where the eyes aren't closing completely due to the eyelids animations not translating correctly in the game. Before the eyelashes patch, they were closing just fine. Gifs with the bug : This is a gif from 2022, so without the bug : Maxis animations : Custom animation : For developpers/animators : I did another test, just to show you how terrible this thing is. For this test, I did a simple sleeping pose I will use to demonstrate the bug, because unfortunately it's the only way to explain the issue more properly, by comparing in an animating program and then how it translates in the game. To achieve this result in the game with the eyes being closed like this : In a posing/animating program, I had to do this : There is clearly an error of how the eyelids translate in the game since the lovestruck patch. I'd like to know if maxis is aware of this issue and if they will fix this, as it affect every animations in the game. If I'm closing the eyes as usual in the program, this is the result I get in the game : And no, it's not the program fault. This happens since the lovestruck patch and again, it affects all the animations from the game, even the vanilla ones. I believe a data from the eyelids or something similar has been touched and it needs to be reverted back. So I got the new pack and some pack interactions are giving me a huge problem. I have both eco lifestyle & the new enchanted forest pack. Something keeps upgrading my toilets. I think it has to do with gnomes? And my sims are constantly sick and throwing up multiple times per day. As such, the toilets are therefore constantly bursting into flames. I can't un-upgrade the toilets. I have to keep purchasing new, different toilets, which is quite pricy because they are constantly being mysteriously re-upgraded by some mystical force. I can't stop them from being sick 24/7 because apparently everything makes them sick and even if you turn it off in pack settings, it says your sim will still get sick sometimes. And since everything and everyone around them makes them sick, they indeed do get sick, regardless, without relief. I really really really do not want to have to raise bugs for compost... my sims can barely keep up with their lives considering they spend so much time being sick and cleaning up after toilet fires, and spend so much money buying new toilets. So is there anything I can do? On a side note, just to vent--Dang I miss my mods. I took them all out prior to the patches & cleaned everything up & reinstalled to be like new so there would be no clashes, I'm just trying to give modders a chance to make their updates & new mods to fix the glitches. This game takes our money and releases glitched and broken and poorly thought out packs to the point where it is so unplayable without mods. They should seriously hire the modders, they are way better at programming and patching then people working for TS4. I have recently had issues when attempting to adopt more than 1 out of the 3 cats/dogs that show up when I choose them from the pie menu to potentially adopt. Sometimes, I end up wanting to adopt more than one cat or dog and unfortunately after adopting 1 of them, the Adoption Counselor packs up the other 2 and leaves before I can even attempt to adopt them, and they sadly disappear from the pie menu altogether/are essentially erased from the system :( I do not have mods or cc installed and have uninstalled and reinstalled my game to no avail. Sims automatically perform certain romantic actions, even if they have a dislike for those actions. Because of this, relationship satisfaction drops very quickly. Example: A Sim automatically flirts with their partner, even though both of them are dissatisfied with flirting. Relationship satisfaction drops, and as a result, the Sims start arguing. So, while admittedly not anything game-breaking, the frequency of the idle phone-tapping animations in this game is quite disruptive to a sense of immersion, and also just extremely annoying. This is especially the case when trying to play a household that's very nature-oriented (off the grid, or just not particularly into tech), since there is no reason for such sims to be glued to their phone at all times. In fact and in my opinion, there's not really a reason for ANY sim to be glued to their phone at all times, unless it's, say, a celebrity with that fame quirk. In terms of when this happens, I see it mostly when sims are routing from one place to another, though jogging seems to be a particularly consistent trigger for this behavior. Attached are screenshots of my werewolf sim, who somehow managed to use both front paws while rampaging, since apparently checking that Simstagram feed (or texts, or whatever) was just that important. Even if this universal phone addiction that sims have is by design, I somehow have a feeling that it is not meant to be happening in situations like the screenshots lol. Similarly (though I don't have an image of this), my sims have also been known to use their phones while half-submerged in the ocean. Which, again, seems like that's probably not the intended behavior. I tried looking around to see if anyone else had reported this bug, but the last one I saw was from 4 years ago and was marked as solved, so... Here we are. I can live with it, as I have been for the past 3 or so years, but I would certainly rather not have to. Thanks!298Views107likes15CommentsToddler Doesn't Stay in High Chair (Patch 1.96.386)
My parent sim won't leave the toddler in the highchair. It won't matter if I give the parent something else to do. Within a minute or less of RL time, the sim goes over, takes the toddler out of the high chair, and puts them on the ground. Even if the toddler is in the middle of eating, the parent takes them out. I've tried resetting the parent sim the moment the action appears, but it resents both the parent and the toddler who ends up on the floor. Is there any way to keep this from happening? For some reason I didn't get any "Welcome Wagon" anymore even with a new save file created (I try to see if it was just one save, but not). I don't have all the packs of The Sims 4 and yes, I do use some mods but I didn't think that it has something to do it because even when I play on Playstation, I didn't have "Welcome Wagon" either.
