FC 27 Defending – Please Bring Back AI Defending and Legacy Defending
EA, I want to give serious feedback about the current defending system in FC 27. My biggest concern is that defending has been made almost completely manual, while attacking still relies heavily on AI-controlled movement and positioning. If attacking AI is allowed to make intelligent runs, create space, position itself and react to situations without the user directly controlling every player, why should defending be forced to be almost completely manual? Football is a team sport. In real football, defenders automatically maintain their shape, track runners, cover spaces, close passing lanes and react to attacking movements. The user should influence the defense, but the AI should still be capable of behaving intelligently. Right now, removing so much defensive AI creates huge spaces on the pitch. Attackers can constantly run into those spaces, spin around defenders and dribble through situations that don’t feel like realistic football. Defending can start to feel less like reading the game and more like trying to manually control every single defensive movement. I understand that some players complained about AI defending in FC 26. But if AI defending was too strong, the solution should have been to balance it, not remove so much of it that the opposite problem is created. There is also an important inconsistency here. If players are told that they must manually defend because “skill” means controlling every defensive action, then why isn’t attacking treated the same way? Why can attacking players make intelligent AI runs, position themselves and create opportunities without the user manually controlling them? And if AI defending was removed to make matches more realistic, we should also question whether the current result actually feels realistic when high-level matches can turn into extremely high-scoring games with huge amounts of space. I am asking EA to seriously reconsider the current system. Please bring back: Stronger AI defensive positioning Better defensive shape and spacing AI tracking and covering More effective physical defending Bruiser AI assistance that allows defenders to react naturally Legacy Defending Legacy Defending as an option in Ultimate Team I am not saying manual defending should disappear as an option for players who enjoy it. I am saying that players who want a more traditional football experience should also have a choice. Please allow Legacy Defending in Ultimate Team. Let players choose the defensive system they enjoy. If someone wants completely manual defending, they can use it. If someone wants AI-assisted/Legacy Defending, they should be able to use that too. The goal should be to make FC 27 feel like football—not to force every player into one particular interpretation of what “skill” should mean. Please listen to the players who want AI-assisted defending and give us the choice. I’d submit this version rather than the earlier one. It makes your central argument very difficult to reduce to simply “you need to learn how to defend,” because you’re specifically addressing the difference between how EA treats attacking AI and defensive AI.34Views2likes2CommentsRequest to Add Professional Player Aymen Sadi to EA SPORTS FC 27 Database

The player level up system ( dynamic overall) in manger mode is wanky, one game a player is at 76, next at 64, and the morale system makes no sense to progression, it's all over the place. The bouncing of the ball when my player receives it: I play football and watch it, the balls don't bounce like that all the time. Through pass mechanics: the system basically picks it for me, I might as well be handing it to the opponents.10Views0likes0CommentsWorst than ever
This game is worse than ever. The players running like a bunch of kids with no clue. Passing? That is different. They can’t even pass 2 meters and choose the other player who is about 20 metres away. Goalkeepers? They are a joke. This is the worst version of FIFA ever… about contracting, conversations, and transfers: I don’t want to say anything because that will be swearing. So thank you: my best game turned on a disaster. 👏🏻 EA Sports should pay for gamers to play the game, not the opposite. And you can’t even break the defence because you feel like the opposition have 22 players on the field. If you lost the ball you can’t reach the guy anymore because he is running faster with the ball than you. Defending a corner… other horrible stuff. Mostly it is a goal. If your GK saves it after standing still and waiting for the opponent to reach the ball and score it. But you can’t score from a corner, or a free kick. Passing is terrible, shooting as well. It is not a football game. This is a challenge to play some stupid video game that is not related to football. I paid 60 quid and stopped playing after 4 days.14Views0likes0CommentsWorst than ever

Dear Development Team, My name is Jorge Silva. I have been an avid player and passionate follower of football simulation games for over two decades, starting back in 2005. Throughout all these years, my absolute primary focus has always been Career Mode, a game mode that historically represents one of the most beloved and played experiences by the global football gaming community. Driven by my long-standing experience as a player and my desire to see this game mode reach its true potential, I have put together a structured Game Design Proposal. This concept addresses the need for deeper tactical control, organic narrative immersion, and authentic club management, while respecting real-world licensing constraints through generic and digital sponsorship integrations. Below is the summary of the proposed mechanics, designed to significantly elevate the user experience for both casual and hardcore Career Mode fans. GAME DESIGN PROPOSAL SUMMARY 1. Dual-Mode Architecture: Tactical Manager vs. President & Manager Pure Tactical Manager Mode: Designed for players who want to focus exclusively on on-pitch tactics, squad morale, press relations, and youth academy growth. The manager does not negotiate contracts or handle club finances. Instead, the Manager submits specific positional requirements, and the AI-controlled Board presents up to 5 curated transfer candidates to choose from. President + Manager Mode (Total Club Management): Designed for users seeking full control, including stadium experience, backroom staff, budget allocations, and sponsorship deals. 2. Realistic Sponsorship Mechanics (Licensing-Friendly) To avoid licensing friction and trademark conflicts across official club kits: Sponsorships rely on generic/fictional brands or digital-only placements. Sponsor deals affect club revenues and board objectives without requiring visual modifications to officially licensed team jerseys. They appear primarily in financial menus, press backdrops, or generic stadium LED banners. 3. U-17 Youth Academy & Anthropometric Growth Youth development centers on U-17 rosters. Players experience realistic physical transformations over time (height, muscle mass, and skill shifts) during their growth phase. Includes playable or auto-simulated U-17 matches, alongside a "Youth Raid" mechanic where uncontracted prodigies can be poached by higher-reputation clubs. 4. Classic Training Ground & Staff Scaling Free-Roam Practice Arena (1v1, Set Pieces, Tactics): Inspired by classic training modes, offering immediate pitch access to test maneuvers. Evolving Infrastructure: Training facilities visually upgrade based on club tier and investment. Specialized Coaching Staff: Hiring physical, goalkeeping, and tactical trainers directly influences squad recovery, injury prevention, and player attribute progression. 5. Tripartite Reputation & Dynamic Stadium Atmosphere Separate approval metrics for Board, Squad, and Fans. High Fan Approval: Triggers custom stadium banners, manager chants, and full-house matchday attendance (maximizing revenue). Low Fan Approval: Causes white-handkerchief protests, crowd boos, and empty stadium sections. Rivalry Pressure: Derby matches carry multiplied media pressure, where match outcomes drastically swing overall board and fan confidence. 6. Dynamic Market Attractions & National Team Scope Club Magnetism: Trophy count and club prestige dynamically attract top-tier agents offering pre-contract players or free agents. National Teams & Youth Tournaments: Managers can accept national team offers with options to direct Senior, U-23, or U-17 international tournaments, operating alongside or independently from club duties. I strongly believe that implementing a structured approach like this would bring back the depth, replayability, and excitement that Career Mode fans have been yearning for. Thank you very much for your time, dedication, and for continuing to build football experiences for millions of players around the world. I would welcome any thoughts or feedback on these ideas. Dear EA Sports Dev Team, I am writing to submit critical proposals to improve the immersion, presentation, and technical aspects of EA SPORTS FC 27. Previous editions like FC 25 and FC 26 were disastrous due to repeated bugs after updates, and we hope you fix these issues for a successful season ahead. Please implement the following features: Improve Post-Match & In-Game Replays: In previous editions, the game failed to show replays for critical moments like dangerous attacks, close shots, tackles, and corners. The replay system must be heavily improved Match Immersion (Referee Debates & Red Cards): Add contextual referee arguments during high-pressure games. Players and technical staff should be able to argue with the referee, leading to realistic yellow or red cards for dissent. We also need physical player altercations and illegal fouls/clashes, just like real football. Optional VAR Mechanic: Add a Video Assistant Referee (VAR) system. It can be optional, flashing a notification on the screen, with a dedicated controller button assigned to request or view the check. Cinematic Cutscenes & Award Presentations: Enhance cinematic stories for a better experience. We want to see official post-match/tournament trophy scenes on the pitch, specifically for the Golden Boot award and the Player of the Match/Tournament award. Built-in Controller Configuration Launcher: Fix the chronic controller compatibility issue that has ruined all previous parts. EA must add an external settings launcher—similar to PES—where players can configure graphics, display, and controllers natively. Forcing us to use third-party software causes input lag and ruins the game. Thank you for your hard work, and we hope FC 27 avoids past mistakes and moves forward successfully.95Views4likes7CommentsThoughts about Ultimate Team
I've been playing FIFA&EA FC whatever you call it since so long and in recent years it is the best game that i've been enjoying so far, last time I did enjoy the game was FIFA22 there are no crazy tradeable packs on store, no crazy evos that would break the game, nothing crazy just vanilla FUT experience, I do really enjoy and get excited when I pack walkouts in this game, in EA FC 26 I was just skipping walkouts, no crazy promos, every promo is above 40-50k which means money (it might be due to gallery but it is still okay imo) less promos and less players on promos are definitely fine and it's first time I'm writing down that I enjoyed playing FIFA instead of crying or requiring help for bugs/issues, I hope you guys continue like that, trust me nobody would want to open 100k tradeable store packs in September/October.10Views0likes0Comments
