Was never able to complete the Grim Rewards Event
I know the event is over, but issues with tasks not completing remained an problem for me the entire time. I am mostly a builder, so I wasn't too enthused about a game play challenge, but actually found myself enjoying it until I couldn't get quests to complete despite having caught the stupid angel fish about 8 times with several different characters. There were some rewards I was really keen on getting and I missed out on because the game wasn't working properly. (Yes I removed all mods while playing this event after realizing some where bugging the first few gardening steps.) I can understand EA not wanting to just give everyone these items...but could anything be done? Maybe make the challenges ongoing to be picked up whenever players want access to the new content. I'm really not a fan of this "you snooze you lose" rewards. I wasn't snoozing, I was trying really hard actually and still missed out. I know a lot of people had issues at the beginning, but was I just unlucky that things didn't resolve or were there other people out there having the same issues clean up until the end of the event? They took my stuff pack :'(
I had just played the sims, with no problem, yesterday and when I opened my game just now, it showed all of my saves and said "Pack required" with the little icon of toddler pack. I googled it to see if people had the same problem and some had but only if they hadn't played in a while. One person said to look in my purchase history and when I did it was also gone from there. I could just buy the pack again but Id prefer to not. I restarted my game as it said to do and I don't know what to do. Id love to try any advice y'all have!
sims cannot try for baby or woohoo
I've had this problem for a few weeks. My sims cannot successfully try for a baby. I tried using the even on key line lot trait and fertility massages. every time my Sims tries for a baby it says unsuccessful. I've attempted this with multiple households and it doesn't work with any. I've also noticed the woohoo option is not available even with 100 love and friendship. I had the UI extension mod in my game (the only mod I was using) I removed the mod and repaired the game. the option still hasn't came back. any help or feedback would be appreciated.
Sim cannot go to prom
Hello, no matter what I have tried, my sim cannot go to prom. I have researched and many have said it clashes with Get Famous, so I launched my game without the pack and it still did not work. I have also taken out all custom content and mods to see if that was the issue and it still did not work. I have turned off aging and it did not work. Prom has come around 4 times now. One of the times, I got the pre-prom get together invitation and it took me there, then I got the pop-up notification that prom was starting and I selected the option to go to the prom with him, then nothing happened. The game just went on like nothing happened, and prom was no longer on the calendar. Another time, I went to the pre-prom get together, then come 7 pm I don't get any notification that prom is starting. Once again, prom just vanishes off the calendar. The most recent time, I got the invitation to the pre-prom get together and prompted my sim to go, and then nothing happened. So I waited around until 7, and no surprise there was no pop-up notification to go to prom, and it just vanishes off the calendar. I am at a loss for what else I can even do. It's very frustrating as nothing else in the High School years expansion pack really excites me, and prom is what I was most excited for. When researching ways to fix this problem, most people posting about it are from 2 years ago, so I'm very confused on how this bug is still not fixed. Has anyone been able to go to prom with their sim??
Week 6 Social Event Goal
This isn't a question, just an observation. When I was at the end of the event and had to Host a Social Event with goals and rewards, I used the Calendar to plan it. My twin's birthday was coming up, and I figured that would do the trick. It did not. Come to find out you have to read the fine print on how to host the event. It will ONLY work if you use your phone > Social App > Plan a Social Event. It was only then that it counted towards the Grim Reaper's goal. I'm not sure who needed to read this, but here it is. hey all, I'm the type to look at all the lots in all our worlds we have and find the best looking one and idk about u guys but I Love the plot in Ravenwood next to the river and next to the face mountain, my biggest issue however is I cannot play on this plot lol. I was able to look at it once and since then my game seems to be broken? I've tried to open my game and close it multiple times and I've tried multiple ways to have my family move into the lot and try to play on it but it never works, i can only build on it, not play. severely disappointing. hoping this can get boosted and talked about because I love that plot and want to live next to the river. Every time I try to play on the lot it says "this game failed to load. Error code; 110:d5ee1fd3:b62296ec. It is recommended that you relaunch game" thanks all
Build buy mode freezes/becomes unresponsive sporadically.
I get it; mods will affect your gameplay but it doesn’t explain why it does this sporadically. I’ve tested this with various methods, including, Closing BB in a category that has the least amount of items so the load up time is shorter. (ie closing BB while in appliances vs decorations) Opening BB while underground. Building directly from world screen. But to no avail. Sometimes it speed loads in and other times it takes about a minute and will become unresponsive if you click anywhere on the screen. It will eventually respond, but what gives? The only trend that is consistent is if it’s a lot with festivals. Anyone else?
