EASHL FREE AGENTS
hey Devs, i have some ideas: instead of "Drop In" option, give me Free Agent option. this puts me in a large group of a position/group. Teams that are playing Club and looking to fill positions can search this group and see my stats (at least a 'glimpse' of my stats/rating/level). When a Team ID's me and wants me to join their game search, I get a quick glimpse of their team (team name/stats. doesn't have to be deep dive, can just be a 'quick view'). If we match, I join them in their room. MOST IMPORTANTLY: give me a 'Free Agent' rating, not unlike a Lyft/Uber driver score. If i'm a good team-player, helping teams win i'll get a good FA rating. If i'm Toxic, i won't. If a Team wants that player to 'join' their club, they can send a quick invite that doesn't require diving into menus to find their inbox. make Drop In be the outdoor games. I'm tired of playing the low-stakes outdoor rink games where people tend to superhero their game instead of working together. I get it: the outdoor rink is a great place to test out builds and new moves. But i'm looking for club games while my own club is offline. I want to get better in games that matter for people/teams who might need my help. _that's_ how you build community. also, let's get Influencers/streamers who make Great Content that helps people get better TIED INTO THE GAME: if Tutorials exist on 'how to play EASHL online' within the tutorial sections, i don't see them. In World Of Chel, _show_ the users How To Get Good with links/names/videos instead of trying to sell us something in HUT we're not buying. I know those streamers/influencers are out there, I've watched them and gotten a lot better. thanks for reading this! respect to the devs who've continually built on top of an impressive, immersive experience where i'm controlling 1 person in an arena of up to 12, working together for a common goal. this _is_ the only true sportsball online experience where everyone has a role. nba2k? madden?! nope, this is it. appreciate the work, hopeful for improvements in community areas of this game!
A few suggestions?
Would anybody else benefit from these? Not knowing all the players of the NHL and other leagues while opening packs, it would be cool to see a log of the packs opened and rewards received in one place. It would be kind of neat to be able to sort your cards in "My Collection", not just by OVR, or maybe recently or maybe even by set like Trade Quest, then XP, etc. something more overview-like. Take a peek at the NHL hutbuilder website. The organization of sets seems like it could stand and improvement. If I put cards into a set, like S1 Captains, I may forget and wonder where the cards are. Like displaying what sets have cards in them displayed across the top of the main page? I have more but I'll let you start there, thanks, put the team right on it! :) Will
NHL26 matchmaking region restricted?
Hi guys, normally never playing CHEL. My last time was like 2022 or something. Now living in India, so my region is Asia-Pacific. While I connect to some games in HUT, I was not able to find any matchmaking today for CHEL mode at all (doesnt matter if 3v3, ones, threes, whatever). Is NHL26 matchmaking region restricted? Or is it just because there is barely anyone playing NHL26 at the moment and it could be better in a week when the normal version is published? Cheers!
Roster Sharing Must Transfer in NHL 26/27 - It’s Time
For the last two years, the community has been carrying NHL games on its back. I’ve seen people recreate: Full 1990s NHL rosters NHL 04, 06, 2010, 2014 throwback seasons Entire NCAA programs Full custom leagues Even deep builds like GTHL and OMHA AAA circuits And every single year? It all gets wiped. Deleted. Reset. Gone. Meanwhile, Madden — another EA title — allows roster imports from the previous year. So the question is simple: Why doesn’t NHL? The Problem: Creative Work Gets Erased Every Year Building a custom roster isn’t casual. It takes: Hundreds of hours Accurate player builds Ratings balancing Jersey numbers Equipment edits Face builds Contract setups League structure tweaks Team creation Logo matching This isn’t a weekend project. It’s an entire season commitment. And for what? So it can exist for a few months… and then vanish when the next game drops? That kills motivation. Why would anyone spend an entire year building out a fully playable NCAA system, or a 2010 NHL recreation, or a full GTHL AAA league — knowing it won’t transfer forward? Madden Already Solved This EA already has the infrastructure. Madden lets you: Import draft classes Carry over franchises Transfer custom teams/rosters year to year Same publisher. Same ecosystem. Same console generation. So how is roster continuity not already standard in NHL after two years of roster sharing being in the game? This isn’t a new feature request. It’s a missing foundational system. Why Roster Transfer Is Mandatory: Roster sharing isn’t just about downloading something cool for a few months. The entire point is: Long-term league building Community collaboration Annual updating Version improvements Historical preservation If I build a full OMHA AAA league, the vision isn’t “use this for six months.” The vision is: Let others download it Let them tweak and update it Let it evolve year over year Let it become the definitive version Without carryover, that never happens. The ecosystem resets every fall. That discourages creators. And without creators? Roster sharing dies. What Happens Without It: Here’s the reality: Fewer people invest time High-effort rosters disappear Casual, low-effort uploads dominate Community depth declines The mode loses long-term value It becomes temporary content instead of an evolving universe. Which is the opposite of what roster sharing should be. The Bigger Picture Sports games thrive on: Customization Legacy Community effort Long-term engagement Right now, NHL’s roster sharing feels disposable, and that’s a problem. If EA wants: More engagement More time spent in creation More online downloads A stronger community ecosystem Then roster transfer into NHL 26 is not optional. It’s mandatory. Final Thought If I spend 300+ hours building a full NCAA league, or a 2006 NHL recreation, or a complete minor hockey circuit… Why would I do it knowing it dies in 12 months? The whole point is for others to build on it. To refine it. To update it year over year. Madden already proves this is possible. It’s time for NHL 26 and NHL 27 to catch up. Roster sharing without transfer is temporary. This is so big it should be mentioned in promotional material for 27. Roster sharing with transfer builds legacy, and legacy is what keeps communities alive.
