Push to talk idea (controller) and how to do it
Hi I was thinking skate should implement push to talk which can toggle on and off your mic with a controller by tapping the left Dpad as i personally don’t see a point in having that a social button when it’s in the pause menu, I’m not sure if I’m the only one but I also forget the social is even on the Dpad, and by having that as a text by holding and a tap to toggle on/off for push to talk would be much nicer since voice chat is in the game now. What could also be nice if you had an option to switch the text and push to talk actions in settings, so it’ll be hold to talk and once you let go you’re back to muted, and tap for text, the option would always be nice to have. This makes sense to me as the left Dpad would then be the communication button, I feel social is wasted on the Dpad. Something to add on the end of this is also having an option in the setting to disable voice ducking, having someone speak with the volume of my game being lowered isn’t a nice experience for some and the option would be very helpful.
Bringing back the classic dynamic camera angle
I really liked how the camera angle in the older games was a lot more dynamic and focused on the skateboard. It zoomed in a lot more than the new one does when you do stuff like grinds and manuals, and it just felt more like you were being followed by a skater with a camera. It would be so cool to see it return. I did a little mockup in the replay editor to simulate it."Simply the Best" Trophy not working
Since the season 3 update, the game is not registering throw down wins. I tried in a party and solo, and after a game restart. Won several throw downs now against strangers and it won't register 4/4 on trophy info. Still remains at 3/4 from wins before new update. Also tried with crossplay enabled and disabled, didn't make a difference.Season 3 Crashing over and over
It all started Saturday. I crashed once while playing with a streamer I watch on TikTok. After that, I figured out the only way to open the game and play for any meaningful amount of time is to open a browser while the game loads in the background. Idk why this helps but it does. But it seems like everytime I hit a sick clip after a hundred tries and go to the video editor it kicks me out. I'm not one to complain because free game. But I was wondering if anybody knows what could be causing me all these crashes? I've uninstalled, reinstalled, repaired, repaired javelin, uninstalled javelin, reinstalled javelin, allowed Skate thru firewall, reinstalled graphics drivers, gave skate permissions, all in all the only thing that works for me is loading up with the game minimized but even then I still eventually crash everytime. I am getting kind of annoyed by this because I was in the middle of editing this clip I spent 30 minutes trying to get right and mid-edit the game just shuts off no save function for disconnects or anything like that. I basically have to export a crappy non-edited version of my clips immediately or I wont get em at all.
Dead franchise
This game has driven me crazy. Collision bugs, falling in the middle of the road, and now, the cherry on top: bugged Skate Pass missions. And on top of that, a new season with a paid map! Wow, you've killed the franchise. I logged into the game thinking I could at least have some fun, but unfortunately, you have to pay for pixels. In addition to that, many things are poorly thought out. For example, there's no option to launch a mission in group search mode, the skate shop doesn't look like a skate shop at all, and there are no items purchasable without real money in the Skate Pass—only 5 items that are actually interesting and look good. The map is too small and too round, giving the impression of red poison in a jar. Where are the downhill runs, the forests, the construction zones, etc.? You might say it's Grom Island, but I'm not paying for that. And when will we get a skatepark editor?Season 3 adidas bundle missing
There’s supposed to be the Adidas bundle but might only shows the shoes. Unless it’s a region exclusive, the I’m not sure why the shop doesn’t show the rest of the items from the full bundle. Anyone else having the same issue? So far I’ve only seen 2 people– 1 from Reddit, and the other from someone’s TikTok live when the person was scrolling past the shop and noticed it was missing too.Dark side catch cancel with B?
Hi. Any reason why the right bumper can enable/disable dark catches when the old school way of the Circle/B button only enables them? I'd imagine that throws a ton of old schoolers off with muscle memory trying to do a grab but end up dark catching and want to flip back with the same button.
