SKATE 4 FIX
The game runs like crap. I didn't even think about submitting anything because you never do what the community wants. WE WANT REAL SKATE BRANDS, NOT ONES YOU MADE UP, REAL SKATERS, NOT COSTUMES. I want the challenges to be done by a real skater, not a little kid. The characters are awful; they all look like women, and only two of them actually skate. You do grinds or tricks, and suddenly the character goes flying, or doesn't grind the way you want. I've checked all the game settings and managed to create a pretty decent simulation/arcade mix, but it's still inconsistent. You're going at 40mhp and suddenly they grind a rail, but then at 0mhp they don't; they fall off the board. Add real competitions, not **bleep** events like the current Halloween one. And that only lasts one day, not a whole month! When are you going to fix the ramp speed? It was so satisfying in Skate 3, and now it's so frustrating. I'm not just anyone, I played inside and I still skate in reality even at 25 years old FIX FIX FIX FIX FIX FIX
Just a few personal highlights
Firstly... Froooooooth the game. As an O-G skate fan, instantly, I FELT like I was playing what skate 4 had been hyped up to be. New features, epic aesthetics, the theme of a city designed for skaters is pretty cool too, with community park zones.... I am hoping my hunch is right about what's planned for the stadium in brickswitch....... very exciting.... Obviously you have skate fans on the dev team, the subtle updates with skate. from skate 3 are fantastic. The new "set marker" set up deserves a shout out and my favourite thing is probably the immersive in game audio! The sound design is so clear and feels pretty realistic to me. The grab audio transition gives me a smile every time... Well done 👏 A few thoughts from a skate fan Music. Hoping to have bigger playlists, the genre diversity is great! Plssssss bring in playlists for the og skate soundtracks. A skip song option would also be great. Flow/Speed. I've noticed the speed changes are kinda janky, pushing/pumping. Nailing the pumping on default I find a bit tricky ( I think there's already a setting for that?). But yeah I think maybe chilling out the acceleration or something, just so it feels slightly more realistic (steezy) and less arcade-y. A setting for truck stiffness again would also be appreciated. Bring back S.K.A.T.E. w online and local play.🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 a bit of S.K.A.T.E. together with mates at home is the ultimate dream. Proximity chat option? hello fellow skaters i have been playing since the beta an one of the fellow insiders of this game but this glitch is a pain and the game has already come a long way and it has room for potential but this needs to be FIXED ASAP! please and thanks! so we stumbled into this bug a few times actually and it's quite annoying and really stopping the whole Co-op process while joining up in a game we tried to do a challenge together and the timer ticked down gave us the prompt and then proceeded to soft lock both players from accessing map or even ending the mission leaving us in the same area we were in being able to run around and skate but not to get anymore missions after soft locked then have to reset and play solo fixing it would help not sure exactly why it keeps occuring but it stinks i want to skate and play with friends much thanks for reading and responding hoping developers get it fixed soon!
Add some 'angry' facial options...
I'm 100% sure that some of us would rather have some angry-looking facial features instead of the 'always happy and kind' (almost feminine) options that we have in-game. A simple set of angled eyebrows and smirking lips could do the trick, imo. I've added an original in-game screenshot as well as an edited version, so y'all can see what I mean.
EA won’t help me
I was claiming skate pass items and suddenly the game had me buying skate pass currency with the pink currency. Games bugged out and now EA support won’t help me and told me to look at the forums. I just want them to reverse that transaction. I’m not asking for money on my debit card. Game is in early access and bugs a lot and they don’t want to help.STOP STARTING ME IN F#@&!%& SWITCH!
You know this game was built by skaters because every time I'm in switch and I pick up my board I drop it back down in switch BECAUSE THATS WHAT WE DO! Why TF do I start missions in switch!?!? Why do you constantly make me revert if I pick up my board I should never drop it in switch, nobody F'ing does that!? What is the point of picking a preference in the options if you're just going to start us in whatever old position we stated the mission in? This is dumb, fix it. I'm tired of having to right myself every other time I get on the board.
