How *Skate* can respond to *Reskate*
As a PS5 player, I don't have access to *Reskate*, but I completely understand the hype surrounding it. A counter-move—and, above all, a gesture of good faith to restore *Skate*'s reputation—would be to: Implement the maps (or at least the best locations) from previous titles, include a day/night cycle (or even other times of day like morning or evening), and provide access to all cosmetics from past games (clothes, boards, etc.)—all for free. That would be a strong, ideal initial response to win back the community; after that, you could proceed with seasons and updates as you have done since the beginning of *Skate*, if you see fit. REMOVE POLAND AND CZECH REPUBLIC FROM RUSSIA'S REGION LOCK
I have no idea why for so long, since game launch, Poland and the Czech Republic have been assigned to Russia's region lock and therfore have a limited language options to choose from in game(i.e. Polish, Czech and Russian only). I find it ridiculous that 12 years after launch, such a modern game still has such restrictions and still locks certain countries into the region of one singular country that they have nothing in common with. It would be incredible if the team thought about this feature and upgraded it to 21st century standards and allowed us to change the language of the game to whichever one we see fit. Thank you :)
Sorting settings reset after every session
The title really says almost everything. The only detail missing is that when starting a session the "sort by" feature for each sims inventory is set to "new". It doesnt matter what I select, the game resets it to "new" the next time I start the game. For every sim. The same happens with relationship profiles, the simology panel, rewards store and the gallery. Closing a tab there, closing the window and opening resets the tabs. And the gallery settings. Those reset when closing the gallery. I dont EVER want to use the "packs" setting. I always close it and want it to remain closed. The game is supposed to respect and remember my settings for each sim. But not this setting. It remembers the size of the inventory window for each sim as long as I dont have it open and switch through several sims quickly. Then the first inventory size determines it for every following sims. Imagine your PC resets half your settings every session. Thats what this feels like.
Sims constantly doing mischief
There are so many sims now that behave mischievously even though they don't have a single negative trait!!! I hate this so much because I know every interaction can't be perfect but it's so annoying when you leave one of your sims unattended and they are actively sabotaging every relationship - including those with family members. Same with random sims. There are so many of them that do mischievous stuff and make your sims embarrassed or angry randomly. It's just way to common and I don't think sims should behave mischievously unless they have already built a negative relationship with another sim or have the trait like evil or mean (any negative ones). This has been a problem for too long!!😒 PS: I don't use Mods at all. Note by crinrict There's a few threads that are similar so please make sure that you use the correct one for upvoting. Every time I load up the sims 4 game on my PC, my sim's family connection to her parents, husband, and child are wrong. It keeps making her the "niece." Additionally I looked her in family tree and it's showing a blank new person as her parent and her husband had their son with a new blank person (See Attached). I can't even reset the relationship in CAS. Also I tried to recover the save and all of the family tree is corrupted. Is there a permanent solution to fix this? I'm currently on the most up to date Sims version (1.128.90.1030) and took out all my mods.
Is it possible to transfer progress between accounts/platforms?
I've been using EA Play as my main way of booting skate on my PC since I was first invited on, but I've been told to try using steam instead. The switch has been great performance-wise, as I'm no longer locked to 25fps and everything is loading faster now. My one snag is that it's a new account, which means all my progress is no more. Is there a way to transfer progress and merchandise from my EA Play account to my Steam account, or am I screwed on this front?Ea skate Game
I think a few changes could make skate. feel much more satisfying. First, the skateboard should visibly wear down over time. The graphic could get scratched and damaged from grinds, slides and tricks instead of staying in perfect condition. That kind of progression would make gameplay more satisfying and make every trick feel like it actually has an impact. I also think the game looks a little too colorful and clean right now. A slightly more gritty, realistic street-skating atmosphere would fit the series better. The street skating physics also feel too stiff. In the older Skate games, especially Skate 3, the movement, momentum and trick landings felt more natural and satisfying. I’d love to see skate. move more in that direction, with more weight, smoother movement and a better overall feeling while skating.
Autosave ignores settings and rolls back/deletes save progress
My sister turned the autosave feature completely off, but the game is ignoring the setting and forcing an autosave anyway. Because of this, her game completely rolled back today. She spent all of yesterday building a brand new house and moving her Sims into it, but when she logged in today, the house was entirely gone and her Sims were forcefully moved back to their old lot. Since late June: OCCULTS: even when human and occult form are unlinked in CAS: the clothing from 'Human Form' carries over to the occult [Werewolves & Vampires] I did NOT overlook "the link between forms" in CAS, and have everything set as recommended, I am having this issue with all my in-use occult sims, here meaning Vampires and Werewolves. [ I do not use other occult sims [though I do own EBN and IL], so I cannot confirm or deny it is happening to the others.] Occults are not playable for me with this. I did the above suggestion in the image. It does not work. It only seems to work, IN CAS ONLY. Once I am loaded back into game mode / actually playing the game; clothing from human form applies to the Were or the Vampire. Thanks!
