More Updates to past packs?
I've been thinking about stuff i would wish to see in past packs especially for packs that are worth far less than than their price. For example: A world for Seasons A single bed in EBN More infant BB/CAS/Gameplay in past packs aswell as more infant townies Same as above but for toddlers More business and club logos in B&H and GT Daycare career in Growing Together More pet stuff in C&D Update to Lifestyles More gameplay with ROM Familiars More gameplay with skeletons Off the grid options for Bust the Dust Mermaid and Alien Skill trees IL upper cabinets Summer Camp in Seasons These could be released gradually in SDX drops every few months along with base game ones. This would increase the sell rate of packs as they would seem more worth it and people would be happier with packs they already have. Could anyone reply with things they would like to see in past packs that wasn't been mentioned and I would love to see people's thoughts on this idea.89Views5likes3Comments[Idea] Occult Stuff Pack
RoM, V, W , IP, L&D, EbN and GtW all have occults with limited occult specific CAS and Build/Buy. I'd love a stuff pack to flesh out and fill in the blanks for occults. Some of the occult CAS and Build/Buy are merely themed such as Victorian for Vampires and nature inspired for EbN for example. However, the occults themselves could have a larger range of occult specific themes. Add missing occult ability trees for Mermaids and Aliens. More traits that would help occult synergy (Mystical, Disruptive and Macabre are the closest occult friendly traits, if you want to discount the basic Good/Evil traits) Lot traits that encourage each or every type of occult to visit and a trait disallow all occults! Feathered and bat wings for Fairies or even Vampires (but be great if it could be any occult). Missing single bed, fridge, stove, etc. for EbN nature theme. RoM's The Iron Counter needs a cabinet counterpart (drives me nuts I don't have matching cabinets for my favourite counter). Small appliances for various occults/themes. Non-plant/flower nature themed CAS and Build/Buy. Air, fire and water fairy themed attire and Build/Buy would be nice to have different elements Fairies. But these could also transcend to other occults such as Mermaids and Spellcasters. If you are not going to add/update your packs where there is missing/wanted features CAS/Build/Buy. Just put it in a pack to expand the occult themes.4Views0likes0Comments[Suggestion] Base Game (and other) new swimming locations
It would be nice if Willow Creek, Oasis Spring, and Newcrest were updated by giving the opportunity to be able to swim in the water areas. For example in Willow Creek it could be the area near the museum, in Oasis Spring the lake in the Skyward Palms neighborhood, and in Newcrest the pond in Lllama Lagoon. Brindelton Bay could also be updated, giving the opportunity to swim in the waters of Cavalier Cove.2.7KViews21likes14CommentsSims 4 Ocean Exploration expansion pack [Aquariums, scuba diving and houseboats]
Underwater Diving areas There are underwater diving areas that Sims can explore and that are interactive and actually visible to the player. Players can find treasure chests, explore underwater caves or sunken shipwrecks, harvest seaweed and catch fish swimming around. The fish that have been caught can be brought to the surface and exhibited in an aquarium. There is a scuba diving skill. The higher the skill level, the longer a Sim can stay underwater and the less depressurizing time a Sim has. Aquarium There is an aquarium in town that you can stock with fish and other marine life like colorful sea slugs. These can be caught while scuba diving. There are giant aquarium tanks that you can stock with fish. There is an aquarium tunnel object that Sims can walk through, and it can be stocked with fish as well. Aquariums are a new type of community venue. There are saltwater tanks (with corals and rocks) and freshwater tanks (with kelp and wood branches) Houseboat Houseboats are a new type of home that Sims can live in. Houseboats are editable in Build Mode like a regular lot, except you can't add a basement. Whale watching There are whales jumping out of the ocean that you can go watch with your houseboat. You can offer paid whale watching tours or diving tours with your houseboat by clicking on the tourist information center. Driftwood furniture Collect driftwood at the beach and craft new driftwood furniture using the woodworking table from base game and Handiness skill. Expanded mermaids Mermaids should get their own skill tree like all other occults and more scary looking like Sirens. Sirens could also be a new type of occult. To expand Mermaids they should get… Aquatic ears New mermaid tails Seaweed hair Fish scale skin tone that makes the whole body have fish scales Barnacles on body Scaly arms and legs while on land Fin on head (instead of hair) Sims can become a Siren by getting bitten by a Siren. (Like vampires) Mermaids/ Sirens can drink blood like vampires, but don‘t need to More fish-like appearance Fish-like eyes Freezing abilities Stronger manipulation powers The Siren/ Mermaid skill tree Australian world The town is inspired by Australian beach towns like Airlie Beach in Australia. It consists of two marinas where houseboats are located. New collections Sea slugs: Verco's nudibranch Black-margined sea slug Leaf sea slug Clown nudibranch Orange side-gilled slug Chromodoris nudibranch New fishes Harvest edible seaweed Seaweed grows underwater and you can harvest it and eat it. Shipwreck Exploration There are underwater shipwrecks that you can explore, unlock doors by finding keys in storage chests, by being gifted keys from a local Sim etc. Metal debris blocks paths. Sims must use a sledgehammer to break through metal debris. Requires Fitness skill. Sharks live inside these shipwrecks and your Sim needs to hide from them.1.7KViews36likes49CommentsMore text in descriptions
With the last update, we got a new notebook with the option to write text in it. I looked forward to this new option, because in my save files my Sims sometimes have a backstory and this would have been a great option to write this in there. But only 250 signs is not enough. Also on the map the lot and household descriptions, sometimes it would be great to be able to write more text.5Views0likes0CommentsWhat EA mobile games support 144hz/fps and 4K resolution?
Just got a new OnePlus Pad 3 with a 144hz refresh rate and 4K resolution display, and was wondering if which of the EA mobile games support this resolution and 144, or even just 120 fps gameplay? And when will all the EA mobile games support this?3Views0likes0CommentsMake the Inventory more usable
At the current state of the game, sims inventories are a mess and barely usable. They are full of stuff that keeps piling up in there, and a lot of it can't be removed because it's needed for gameplay reasons. (Knitting baskets, bicycles, soccer balls, cameras etc can all only be used from the inventory.) The existing filters are a hassle to use and don't work for many items. Sorting by newness makes sense for quickly finding recently added items, but not for anything else. Freshness only makes sense to sort by for foods. Favouriting things doesn't help much, either. Suggestions: Make the search/sorting function more useful by letting us search/filter/sort by category of items. By "what sort of thing even is this". Examples for possible categories: Consumables (foods, drinks, potions) Harvestables (fruit/plants, fish, wool, etc) Books Arts and crafts (finished crafts, craftable items, things like easels, instruments, the archeology table, knitting basket, cameras etc) Activity items (toys, earbuds, bikes, soccer balls, skiis, snowboards, climbing gear, jungle excursion stuff, etc) Upgrade parts Collectibles (gemstones, time capsules, display figurines, sea shells, what have you, there are so many collectibles in the game by now) Other for the possible few items that fit in neither category For maximum visual improvements, separate the categories by something like a line break or a small horizontal divider. And let us search and sort by category. Show me all books! Show me all types of wool I have! Where are all my toys! Whatever happened to my climbing gear? Well, I don't know, because I can currently only sort by things like freshness and rarity, and freshness or rarity are not a sensible sorting type for climbing gear and ear buds. I would maybe have an easier time locating my tripod if it was a rare tripod, but such a thing doesn't exist, so you have to just dig it out from between wool, spoiled fish you forgot about, anti-insect potions and random upgrade parts. What do you guys want from an inventory? (I couldn't find an existing discussion about this, but I can't be the only one to find the current state of the inventory annoying?)16Views0likes0CommentsHear Me Out: World Kits
I, personally, don't like kits. I have gotten the free ones that pop up occasionally and I acknowledge some are fun/niche content but I am not in the population that wants CAS/Build buy bad enough to pay that "premium" price. (Meaning it's more expensive per asset.) HOWEVER, I, personally, would be so stoked to have more worlds. Especially those cool worlds that folks always talk about. The Serengeti or India or Antarctica. Insert cool worlds idea here! I want it. I have thought about how cool it would be to get "World Kits" and what might be feasible: Empty Lots. No builds. Like, 4 or 5 lots per World Kit. The size of Magnolia Promenade. Just Little Guys. Most of the kits have 20-30 assets (plus multiple swatches). This is enough for a few trees, some foliage, a couple terrain paints. This would be for a niche player, but I believe it fulfills the stated purpose of the kits. To give life to ideas that aren't "big enough" for a full pack. ______________________________ Example asset count... I'm using Magnolia Promenade as an example, only because it's the smallest world I have access to. (I think it's the smallest world in the game.) The icon art The map art About 4 terrain paints Maybe 6 types of trees Maybe 5 types of foliage A water swatch About 8 Shells (for set dressing) The actual construction of the virtual space So, a rough total of assets used in Magnolia Promenade's world (ignoring if the assets are reused from the Base Game, which is common): 26 assets, and the construction. That's within the realm of other kits' asset count.22Views1like1Comment
