They've destroyed the skate franchise but it's all we're gonna get.
EA stated at first that this wasn't skate 4, to attempt to avoid backlash for a clear copy of fortnites store, monitization tactics and pretty much the whole style of graphics, but they sell things that relate to all the other skate games (Is it supposed to be skate 4 or not?). They have foccused so much on microtransactions way too early on and even made it so that you have to scroll through the store to get to the lootboxes if you want to open them through the menu, just to tempt people more to buy basic branded cosmetics that should be earnable. I really hope that they put more care into the game in the future but at this rate I've got no hope. This game is gonna be a microtransaction sim before a skate sim, wouldn't be surprised if they add advertisements and a premium plan to block ads.
Franchise Ruined
The Skate franchise was a unique and beloved game that catered to skaters and skate enthuists first and foremost. The story was great (and I do miss it), but it was the overall environment and feel of the game that made us beg for a new game for 10 years. Exploring the map felt like skating around your hometown or having access to spots that mimicked your favorite skate video locations. It just felt like a game made by skaters for skaters. This game, while I am grateful to have something to play, is nothing lile what made the first 3 games what they were. The map, the spots, the people, the colors, the annoying narrators/guides, everything, just seems sterile. Even the flick system has been sterilized some. I hope this game does well because I know people worked hard to get it out, but this is not Skate. This is something different and and its not better in anyway. Like I said, thanks for getting something out, but to wait 10 years for a fourth Skate game that was breathed to life by the FANS, and to receive this is a major dissapointment and a failure by EA. I would have rathered you given us a PS5 version of one of the original games. This is pathetic.Feedback for Skate.
Vee needs to be removed and Shingo needs to be brought back. Vee’s robotic voice is horrible and it doesn’t add anything to the game. Having a cameraman following you recording your journey actually makes sense and just works. The tutorial needs to be skippable. We’ve all played Skate before. There is too much talking from the characters which are not interesting and a drag to get through. I found myself skipping it all. Just let us skate and complete objectives. Not follow an AI trail. I agree with others this game seems to have AI use all over the place. The world seems empty. There are a lot of micro transactions/items behind a paywall. “Return to session marker” stays in the middle of my screen.Mejoras en los personajes de Skate
Ojalá y hagan una mejora en lo que serían los personajes que se vean más realistas que agreguen Pro Skaters y personajes ramdoms como en Skate 3 sería un exito también que escondan trucos sin sentido. Que agreguen ropa con marcas para las personas que no tienen dinero para meterle al juego algo con marcas como Santa Cruz, Creature, independent, etc Y que le den un aspecto más callejero a lo que sería el mapa algo más sucio en las calles como lo que vemos en la realidad y mejoras en lo que sería las cinemáticas que no sean como tanto para niños también piensen en las personas adultas y skaters que lo van a jugar queremos algo más fino. No algo tan nino ese sería mi comentario de mejora les agradezco que tomen en cuenta mi comentario y tiempo Gracias.
Bring back the "Skate 2" Online Servers
Dear EA Team, Recently the Community of Trophy Hunters been able to do the Online Trophies of Skate 3, we been over the 100 or more players to get the Online trophies in ONLY a few days (you can check the PSNprofiles) the Question now is... if it is possible to bring the Servers of Skate 2 back? 1) for Peer to Peer servers? 2) Bring it temporary back, for by exemple a few weeks or 1 month or 2. 3) Other Options? we, trophy Hunters, looking forward for it. I've seen a lot of requests for previous skates to either be revived or have it enhanced or reworked... It's useless people!!! Come on, we have the potential to do something wild here with skate. From bringing back just the past maps with new graphics and maybe the options for making a different difficulty that changes how realistic or challenging the action and tricks of the (skating) will be in server by self or game mode type!! We can have old maps, new maps, old physics with new graphics, new physics with older graphics, I mean with skates personal settings and options the game handsdown is endless in ways that we as a community can work with the devs to add and change things to the communities liking, just for fun either solo or private lobbies whatever we decide!! They want people to download and spend money right, well how do you do this, by listening and following through for a community that's behind the game 100% and creating a game that everyone can enjoy, they work with us we work with them... Simple... Also something that hopefully everyone finds a little hope in, is being a community and making these decisions to change our favorite game and shape into what we all want it to be,keep it up @skate. And @ea. man I can't wait for this to be out so I can play with the boys!!!! 💯
Skate. Error Code
Hello, I have been trying to access into the skate alpha for quite a bit of time, yet every-time I try to login to EA servers I get error code 480232561 . When I searched up what seems to be the problem is a linked account, I go to check and it’s been my same linked account for almost 10 years so I know it is linked correctly, I have no idea how to fix, anyone have any solutions?
