Squad Battles AI
The update to career mode ai has completely broken and ruined squad battles. Might work on authentic but clearly doesn't on competitive, this must not have been tested and if it was then please fire those testers, they are clueless. Since I hate the online gameplay this year I decided to just build my evo team and chill, casually, in squad battles but that is beyond a joke now. A silver 71 rated, 3 chem team just passed the ball around like prime Barcelona. They had 70% possession and did not attack once. Every time i get a player within 5 feet of their player with the ball they pass sideways or back. At 2-0 down they were passing on halfway line and in their final third. You spend most of these squad battles games chasing shadows and waiting for them to make a mistake, not a single moment of enjoyment left in the one mode I could play casually and enjoy. Are you going to change squad battles ai back to how it was or change it back in some way? I'm going to need an answer on this @EA anyone because if you are then I'll keep playing but if not please at least say so on this post so I can move to a different game.
Unstable connection/player downgrade
I lost a bunch of games in FUT Champs earlier today and still managed to have fun. Why? Because I played against great players in competitive games. Fast forward a few hours and I log in, hoping to pick up where I left off. Unfortunately, that was not the case. I still managed to lose more games, but it felt like the same old situation. My players feel like they have been downgraded until my opponent takes a lead. In one match, I took an early 2-0 lead. Then all of the sudden my players couldn't complete simple passes until after he scored 4 goals. Zola, who scored a finesse shot from range, couldn't hit the target anymore. One shot went wide, and the other looked like it was straight at the GK. I didn't see my opponent make any subs or pause for tactical changes. It simply feels like someone turned a faucet on and off with regards to my players' skill. It was even worse because at one point it felt like I didn't have control of my players. I switched from my RM to my CB to cover the ST making a run. He continued running straight toward my goal even though I had my stick pointed in the opposite direction. Players are not making tackles when press the button. They always wait until the after the player passes and tackle from behind, resulting in a red card. A few days ago I had a situation where I was controlling my RB and switched to my CB. Then my RB runs straight into the ST and causes a penalty. I've read online that unstable connection can cause some gameplay/player performance issues. Is that what this is or is it something else? Again, I don't mind losing to better players, but this feels like I'm losing to the game.
Unplayable Squad Battles
Why even your forum is lagging? In EA FC 25 I was winning 5-0 on Legendary difficulty in Squad Battles. Now I cannot score a single goal on World Class difficulty because I cannot control my players. Every pass is glueing to AI opponent. Players are hiding behind AI opponents so I have not got pass options. I am shooting first shot of the game in 45th minute. I have 3 shots per game and I need to score 5 goal to receive full points for the game. Repair the gameplay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Please fix this game
Please fix this game after sitting down and playing on live events and squad battles i can tell you now this game is cooked. the experience on live events is horrible and horrendous the ai defending is dramatically over powered i don't understand your logic of saying we will take it under consideration and potentially fix it in January. I have a theory that you will make some changes after the fc pro open what i think ends around the 20th jan. if you do that it will literally show you only care about the 1% of players which are your pros and your making a game for 1% not the other 99% who actually make up a larger base who spend more money actually you know buying the game. Squad battles absolutely reduces you to near on a mental disorder. World class difficulty can range from an easy 5-0 win to a stupid 4-3 win or loss really depends on how the ball bounces. Then if you play a team with low chemistry and players out of position on legendary Jesus Christ its like playing Barcelona your just sitting waiting to get the ball back like you should not be playing a game where 20 in game minutes is wasted with cpu passing the ball around the back. you have completely alienated the casual with this poor gameplay the game isn't fun when you win how can game not be fun when your winning. also taking out goalkeeper movement or reducing it. Now i need to play a little more to make sure but im 85 % certain that goalkeepers since this are unable save even the weakest of low driven shots like it was bad before the patch but I think its far worse now definitely something worth checking out because its feels like every goalkeeper i use may as well be Pickett (if you know you know) also suggestion even though i know you would never do it is one reimburse everyone who pre ordered the game early either with cash they payed or to save you money give them that back in fc points. Or you could hold your hands admit you released a beta title and say thank you to everyone who preordered or spent of £50 on buying the game from launch or near launch and give them next years game for free. I know full well you won't do anything like that but your currently at risk of not just losing every one of the loyal players your at risk of losing the game completely. You want people to play this game then give us reason stop pandering to pros and actually make a football game for the whole fanbase to anyone who made it this far thanks for reading the rant and hopefully ea can start to mend a broken game fingers crossed but I find it unlikelySquad battles difficulty
I'm not sure about how everyone feels about this but the difficulty is crazy the more "realistic" experience getting absolutely brutal slide tackled in your own half cause you won possession god help you if your through on goal get that dirty slide tackle from behind which would be a clear red but nope free kick so your missing out on the very very few chances you get the back tracking by ai is crazy you lose the ball thats it all midfielders including wingers are straight back now you have 8 plus Maldinis in defence before you've figured out next who your playing the ball to in your own half and omg if you get the chance for that sweet through ball or that clear run down the wing dont worry your vinny or mbappe is no chance in pace for that 40 pace bronze player team press is useless its game over before anyone presses you just sit and watch and you know your conceding a goal 30 passes before it happens always perfectly spead so players are no where near you even being able to make a tackle atleast make it so you get max points from goals now 4 instead of 5. less corners . Less possession requirements less penalised for not having a clean sheet cause you know thats almost impossible now at worldclass and legendary you know it before it happens it dosnt feel like you get penalised for your mistakes anymore it feels like the game says no cant go 3 or 4 nil up cause game is like we will score a goal and thats it there's nothing you can do about cause im ai and im not having it regardless of how well your playing
