Daily Deal (DD) 2018 Rotation List and Sales Help
The Daily Deal List and Sales Help The editing issues with this thread have been fixed by EA_David! The long process now begins to relink hyperlinks where possible and to delete information relevant only to the previous forum. Note that the lists of daily deals in the posts at the beginning of this thread are under review as entries were eliminated during the migration from the previous forum. For an accurate list, see the new posts in this thread that RadicalChick posts daily. Also view the DD spreadsheet. The Sims 3 Store Daily Deal offers a selected store item at a discounted price for one, two or three hours. Many of the items are discounted at 75% off or more. The current Daily Deal list, which was introduced on September 23, 2014 at 12:07 a.m. UTC, includes 977 deals. After the 977th deal ends, the deals begin at Deal 1 again. A full rotation of the list takes 82 days. (See this post for background information about the Daily Deal list.) The first page of this thread has been set up to include the list of the deals, and to include information that was available on the first page of the previous DD threads. To the first time user, this thread contains a lot of information. To help you find the information you are seeking, the first post is a contents list with hyperlinks to posts and threads within the Sims 3 forum to help Simmers own the store or at least as much content as they would like and, to get the most value for their simpoints. Note - This thread replaces the original "September 2014 Daily Deals Rotation List" thread created by Ximph that you may see referenced in comments below. The original thread is now closed and relevant information from that thread can be found within this thread. ***** NOTEWORTHY EA App and Store content - EA_Cade has confirmed that all Sims 3 content owned in the web store is compatible with the EA app. See the original post here. EA_Cade also provides a link to download Origin Thin Setup should you want to reinstall Origin. If you are having difficulties downloading store content in the EA app, check out this thread in EA Answers HQ. However, EA_Cade posted in Answers HQ that "This issue should now be resolved with the latest EA app update (please ensure that you are on EA app build 12.115.0.5372 or later). " Merelhyn created a thread to provide simmers with guidelines on purchasing all the sets, compilations and venues available in the Sims 3 Store for the least amount of simpoints. SpiredMoth's Cheapest Paths website provides updates to Merelhyn's guidelines with 2022 costs for the cheapest paths to complete of sets and compilations. SpiredMoth has also created the S3S Tools spreadsheet to help save as many simpoints as possible with your store purchases. The spreadsheet includes the Make Me an Offer Checker and Complete Your Set calculator. I don't know about anyone else, but I believe that a Direct-X 11 Patch is needed to bring the game into the future, because it have been more than 13 years since EA Games abandoned The Sims 3 for greed (aka The Sims 4). Other games in the Sims series have gotten a patch for playing on newer systems, but the Sims 3 seems to have been left out of these updates for some reason. I'm playing the game currently on a newer gaming system with a Nividia RTX-2060 Super graphics card, and the systems lags terribly, but I believe that this lag has more to do with the fact that the game can't handle this newer graphics card, but is looking for something a bit easier to handle. I have done everything on my end to make the game run smoothly from adding Direct-X 9 to my system files and adjusting the compatibility settings for the to Windows 8 and also restricting the number of colors for the game to 256, but only a patch from EA Games will allow this game to run better on this graphics card. Plus EA Games owe it to us players that have purchased their games over the years to patch this game so we can play the game, and not be forced into buying the Sims 4 with their multi-dollar price tag for all those expansion packs, bundles, stuff packs, and kits, in my opinion only created for the money and not for the enjoyment. From what I have heard for reading on different sites is that many players are disappointed with the Sims 4, because it removed the open neighborhoods, and went back to loading screens for going from lot to lot, unlike what happens in the Sims 3. I for one, really liked the open neighborhoods and this is why I won't play the Sims 4. Another current problem in the Sims 3, seems to be that the in-game network seems to keep crashing, and the EA Advisors don't know how to fix this kind of issue when it comes to the fact that it's not always at the players end involving this issue. This server issue started when EA Games placed this second server sign-in with-in the game to start with, because now a player must sign-in to the EA Games App, then also sign into the game on the launcher, making for a game that needs both servers to be working properly in order to use "Simport" in the game, plus to make purchases from the Sim Store. Although the second server doesn't effect the gameplay, it's always nice to be able to play or chat with others while in the game. Forgive me for going on so long, but I needed to get these issues off my chest, and put it into written form for others to see, so now I'll close this opinion.Sims 3 Mega Edition?
Hello, I've been wondering about it for years now, especially now, but I wonder if we will ever get a Sims 3 "Mega Edition" that includes everything that it can. I imagine it including everything from the store, all expansions, every stuff pack along with sliders to turn features on and off before launching. The Sims store doesn't work very well and is always laggy, the Sims 3 needs dozens of mods to barely work, and for the steam version you can't play it on a steam deck. It would be awesome to have a remastered Sims 3 with everything we need, along with working for newer systems and the steam deck. I feel it would get a lot more people into the game that can't or haven't before. The Sims 3 is one of my favourite games that I've spent a lot of money and hours on. Buying physical and digital items. I honestly wouldn't mind to have everything all in one place instead of jumping between my physical copies and my digital copies. Many Pc's also don't come with a CD drive anymore, so it limits players in that way as well. The "Mega Edition" could also include graphical fixes for modern devices. It honestly makes the most sense to do for how old the Sims 3 is now. I think it deserves some love for being such an awesome game. It would also be cool if they included the world builder into the game since the version they have is hard to understand. It would probably be a bit of work, but I'd honestly be up to purchase a "Mega Edition" of the Sims 3 if it came to be.132Views1like1CommentWhat Did You Buy from the Sims 3 Store Today?
Is anyone else actively watching the Daily Deals and purchasing store content? I've been spending about 25-50 points a day, and I have been getting about 2 larger sets a week for free. Thank you SO much RadicalChick for posting the deals everyday! Tomorrow afternoon, I should be able to get this set for free. Which should then set me up to get some larger sets for free. I am pretty excited about that. My favorite gameplay is rags-to-riches and apocalypse themes, so I prefer to buy things that will look the most interesting and authentic after I have used the color wheel to use a grunge pattern. The Mid-Century stuff will look great as grunge objects! 424 ) A Mid-Century Modern Trailblazer Set / 468 / 1250 / 63% / 2 hours Part of: When Worlds Collide Collection Repeat Deal: This is a medium price for this item (More than # 689, # 576, but less than # 551) Recently I got Man Cave for free. 386 ) Man Cave Compilation / 750 / 3000 / 75% / 2 hours Not part of any set or compilation Includes: It's Game Time; Level Up Collection; Championship Dreams Repeat Deal: This one of two deals with the least expensive price for this item (Same as # 714 but less than # 339, # 336) Island Villa was free for me and now Island Escape Compilation should be free when it goes on sale. 365 ) Island Villa / 98 / 347 / 72% / 2 hours Part of: Island Escape Compilation; 4 items included in Sandy Shoals Sea Shanty Repeat Deal: This is the least expensive price for this item (Less than # 451, # 459) And I splurged on the Now and Then Manor. Hello Everyone, Well, just recently I began to reinstall the Sims 3 after having been playing around with the Sims 4 for the past 5 or so years. But with the recent problems with that game, I decided to dust off my Sims 3 and got it all set up to play on my PC. Now, the question is... I love a lot of the content that is in the Sims 3 Store. Back in the day of the Sims 3 era, I was so eternally grateful to the short ad clips we could opt to watch to help us accumulate store points to purchase items/sets/Compilations... so I easily became a Sims 3 store junkie buying up a ton of their content over time. Coming back to it after all these years, I see there are still some sets I would just love to have but are not yet completed in my purchasing. I would love to buy them now... but... is it "safe" to do so? The game is nearly 17 years old now. With a questionable future of EA and the game being so old, I would be heartbroken to invest in more content only to learn EA might put the ax to this game. I know this is always a risk with any game... but to buy stuff so late into this stage of the game's history... is it safe to purchase more... or will I be basically throwing my money away on something that may soon come to a close?Solved397Views2likes11CommentsSpring Discount Shows But Charges Full Price
Hi! On my EA account, all Sims 3 packs show as part of the Spring Discount. I tried to buy Supernatural, which looked on sale for $10, but at checkout it charged me $20 instead of the discounted price. I’ve requested a refund, but I don’t understand why the discount isn’t applied. The homepage shows the Spring Discount, but it disappears at payment. Can someone help me understand this or fix it? Thanks!126Views0likes3CommentsFREE items from "The Sims 3 Store" (24th July, 2014)
