Career Mode Problems
I would like to report an issue with the player-interest system in Career Mode, particularly when trying to sign players who are currently playing very little at bigger clubs. I really like the new transfer system in FC 27, especially the different stages of negotiations and the new player-interest indicator. However, I feel that player interest is currently too rigid and does not react enough to the actual conditions of a transfer. For example, I can try to sign a player from Napoli, Milan or another big club who is clearly not an important starter at his current club. At my club, such as Torino, I can offer him an important squad role, significantly more playing time, an appropriate salary and a long-term contract. Despite all of this, the player’s interest can remain “Very Low”. What is even more frustrating is that sometimes the selling club accepts the transfer, the player accepts the financial conditions of the contract, but the transfer still fails because the player’s initial interest was too low. I understand that a player should sometimes prefer to remain at a bigger club. That is realistic. A player from Napoli should not automatically want to join Torino just because Torino can offer him more playing time. However, I think the player’s interest should be dynamic throughout the negotiation. For example: Initial interest: Very Low Player is currently a substitute at his club New club offers an Important/Crucial squad role New club offers significantly more playing time Salary is improved Contract length is attractive The player would become an important part of the project In this situation, the interest should have the possibility of changing from Very Low → Low → Medium → High, depending on the conditions of the negotiation. It would also be interesting if different factors had different weights. Club prestige could still be very important, but playing time, squad role, salary, European football, league reputation and the player’s career stage should be able to compensate for a lower club prestige when appropriate. This would create much more realistic transfer stories. For example, a young 80 OVR player who barely plays for Napoli could realistically decide that becoming a starter at Torino is better for his career. Another player in the exact same situation could still reject Torino because he prefers to fight for his place at Napoli. That difference is what I would like to see. At the moment, however, it often feels as though “Very Low” interest is almost a permanent barrier rather than the starting point of a negotiation. This also seems connected to another issue I have noticed in Career Mode: AI transfer behaviour can become repetitive across different saves. In multiple Career Mode saves, I have seen the same transfers happen in the first transfer window, such as Dybala and Banza moving to Napoli, Maignan leaving Milan and Terracciano becoming the replacement, and Alaba moving to Roma. I cannot say whether these transfers are predetermined or simply the result of the AI repeatedly reaching the same conclusions, but seeing the same transfers happen across different saves makes the football world feel less dynamic. This is particularly noticeable because EA presented FC 27’s new transfer system as a more dynamic system based on club philosophy, manager style, player interest, squad needs, financial behaviour and other factors. I would therefore suggest: Make player interest dynamic during negotiations. Allow playing time and squad role to significantly increase a player’s interest. Make the current player’s playing time at his club a stronger factor. Allow salary, contract length and European football to influence interest dynamically. Make “Very Low” interest a starting position rather than an almost permanent rejection. Increase the variety of AI transfer decisions between different Career Mode saves. Make AI clubs consider squad depth more carefully before buying players. Make the AI transfer market less deterministic so that the same clubs do not repeatedly make the same transfers in every new save. I think these changes would make the new transfer system much more enjoyable without making transfers unrealistically easy. The goal should not be to make every player willing to join every club. The goal should be to make the player’s decision feel like an actual negotiation, where the manager has a realistic opportunity to convince the player with the right project, role and contract. I would really appreciate it if the Career Mode team could look into this.34Views3likes0CommentsBugs we need to fix quickly
Hi everybody, I put a list of the bugs I mentioned in this post. We need quick fixes for that: when you swap players on your bench it doesn’t save. This is very annoying when I want to buy a player, then other clubs are instantly interested in him. That’s no problem but then I activate that this player will definitely switch the team. Because when I don’t get him, he goes to an other club when I put the settings for transfers to hard, then it isn’t possible to buy players from rival clubs. But they can buy players from me. That’s not realistic. It could be harder to negotiate with them but not impossible there are no offers for youth players or bad players especially loan offers. This is really bad for the potential and the dynamic OVR the menu of the team management is so ugly. Still grey!!! Why you don’t make the pitch green and the cards of the players with colors for their positions (GK yellow, DEF blue, MID green, ATT red) the fitness of the players is a huge thing because you have to rotate. No problem but then star players always want to leave the club because of too less game time it is impossible to train free kicks during development plans. So all of the youth players are bad in it when a player give a transfer request and is on the transfer list it is impossible to put him away. That’s so unrealistic when you solve the problem with him for example new contract there are too many overpowered youth players at the beginning of a new season. There are a lot of under 20 years old players with an 80+ OVR. They have to be more rare and then they are free agents?! That’s stupid there is no squad nomination before a big international cup for example World Cup. So you have to choose your team in march. That’s very bad!!! Please fix that very soonEA_Darko !74Views0likes4CommentsUnrealistic likelihood of player transfer requests
About a 1/4 way through a manager career season, I've had 4 players submit transfer requests. Two of these I get—I've been benching them quite a lot. But two of the players have been playing as much as any players on my team, have great stats, and submitted the demand in unrealistic situations. One submitted the request after a game they played in, and despite the fact that their "recent playtime" has a green smiley face beside it. The other player has started almost every game, but submitted a request immediately after I didn't play them in a low-stakes game, when they had less than optimal stamina. This has made career mode really frustrating to play—it feels much more sensitive than in previous years. We should at least have the ability to change a player's mind by playing them consistently after the request is put in.16Views0likes0CommentsSelling/Loaning youth players and fitness chaos
Hey there, I recognize two problems in career mode, let me talk about that: it is nearly impossible to sell or loan youth players or bad players. I put them on the transfer list but getting no offers. This is really bad in regard to their dynamic OVR and the potential. This needs to be fixed quickly. the second thing is about the fitness. In FC26 it was possible to play for example high pressing and after 6 days of rest I could let play the same starting 11. now I have to switch the squad every game because of the bad fitness. And players with high fitness have the same problems. This leads the players to transfer offers because they are mad that they don’t play every game. So on the one hand they must understand that they only will not play because of their fitness or on the other hand the fitness system has to be fixed. Can you please give that to the teamEA_Darko ? thanks a lot!153Views4likes4CommentsCareer Mode Nonsense
I'm currently in the first season of my player career, and so far, I haven't run into any issues. Even though it's the same as last year's, at least it's not a fiasco like the managerial career mode. As for the managerial career mode: Substitute players aren't listed properly; I start cursing the game when I can't see the squad in the correct order—goalkeeper, two center-backs, defensive midfielder, playmaker, two wingers, and two strikers. A rotation player I had fielded in 14 consecutive matches submitted a transfer request, claiming he hadn't received enough playing time simply because I rested him for a single cup match. While the "dynamic overall rating" mechanic makes sense in theory, it is absolute nonsense for a goalkeeper's rating to increase after a loss or for a striker's rating to drop after a win (in which he scored twice). Furthermore, it is infuriating when—during a period where we are contending for the league title and everything is generally going well—an academy graduate's rating suddenly plummets by 4 points and his potential crashes from 94 to 72. Even though I placed academy-grown players on the loan list, I couldn't loan them out to other teams because no offers came in; the same applies to the relatively better players I added to the transfer list. This is a completely different issue. Despite some positive developments across the game, the manager career mode is the worst, most dysfunctional, and most terrible career mode released under the EA FC banner to date. Console games should be about having fun—not an activity that causes you to constantly curse and get stressed, ultimately leading you to quit in frustration (or forcing you to give up). Especially when it’s a game you’ve paid good money for...20Views2likes0CommentsThe players are changing places.
I always pay attention to the sorting of my players on the bench and in the reserves (as shown in the screenshot below), but this feature is broken in FC27. In previous FC games, I could arrange the order of players in the substitutes and reserves sections, but it’s broken in this game; it’s a real issue that needs fixing.16Views1like0CommentsWhere is Title Update 1.0.2 or 1.2 to Patch Manager Career Mode Issues?
Numerous problems in Manager Career mode have been reported for the past fifty-five days (August 5th, first day of closed beta testing) and zero hotfixes or Title Updates have addressed any of the gamebreaking elements, and the game remains completely unplayable, since the start of beta testing, through the September 17th early release, and continues on a week past full game launch. Because no official EA announcement has occurred yet, the probability of a Title Update this week appears minimal. In addition, when viewing issues in the EA FC 27 Trello board, this report is set to be investigated: [Career Mode] Players may request a transfer without notifying the manager In some cases during Manager Career, players may secretly request a transfer without sending any prior messages or complaints, even if their morale is high. When this occurs, managers will find themselves unable to block incoming transfer offers for the affected players. What is point of ensuring messages from players regarding transfer request submissions are visible in Player Conversation tab after the fact? Developers need to completely redesign player squad roles, required playing time for each squad role, and reformulate the new Dynamic OVR system. Current Game Status: Players demand Crucial or Important squad roles even when existing players at the same position have an overall rating of four or more points higher. Critical squad role players play every minute of every match and there is a ninety percent chance or higher will submit a transfer request within the first three months of a new Manager Career mode save. Important squad role players play every minute of every match and there is an eighty percent chance they will submit a transfer request in the first five months. If an Important role player is substituted at the end of a match, does not get credit for playing in the match and triggers immediate submission within ten days. Rotations squad role players must play a minimum of sixty-five to seventy percent of matches to avoid transfer request, and must play from the first minute, until end of match to get gametime credit. Sporadic squad role players must play a minimum of fifty percent of matches to avoid transfer request, and must play from the first minute, until end of match to get gametime credit. Many of the squad role and playing time issues have been in the game for over a decade, dating back to FIFA 14, and remain completely broken. With the new Dynamic OVR features compiled on top of the broken role system, nearly every player in the squad is at risk of random transfer request submissions, similar to the broken Club Transfer system that was not patched after reporting on December 2, 2025, and the national team hardcodes from The World Game compounded the problem, which to this day, are still ignored.103Views4likes1CommentSo many issues
Let’s start off with the players I have players playing regularly in first team but they still comment that they aren’t getting game time. i also have players that are playing regularly and when you go to block offers it says they have requested transfer when there’s never been any indication of it and it shows they’re happy. im having to sell off my star players because of this stupid glitch.23Views1like0Comments
