By this I mean the dis-propionate amount of air attack vehicles and land vehicles when compared to the Portal maps? Vehicle counts should be map specific and at a minimum of 2/2 for each category.
ALSO, I don't see the part where AI is now allowed in Vanilla Portal Servers without restricting the XP, it's simple really, if no changes were made besides choosing what maps the host wants, AI should be allowed with out forcing a restriction on XP, it should remain at FULL XP. I fail to see why it's considered "acceptable" to punish the player base because they want the vanilla experience but in Portal. Please address this over the air, in one of those "server side updates".
@S3SSioN_SoLNote that DICE puts the same number of vehicles from 128 player maps on the 64 player maps. The maps are smaller too.
Half the number of total infantry running around but same number of vehicles from the larger 128 player maps. The resulting negative impact on the infantry experience should be have been easily foreseen.
Use the old BF formulas please. That’s numerous light transports available all over the map. Light transports that have no armament or that are LIGHTLY ARMED with machine guns.
We don’t need a !%@‘ing 30mm cannon or larger on every single transport! Whoever told you it’s fun being constantly farmed by low skill, splash damage, 30/40/50mm cannon every minute of every match, doesn’t play much Battlefield.
Why aren’t there quad runners on every objective? Why can’t we call in quad runners? The quad runners were an absolute blast in BF4 and BF4 is by any quantifiable measurement, vastly superior and infinitely more enjoyable than BF 2042.

I assume everywhere it says MV-38 Condor 50mm nerf's, that includes the Hind as well; with its lift speed its the dominant out of the 2 already.
Seems pointless to nerf the 20mm cannons on the Nightbird, the chain guns and rocket pods are whats being abused.
The chain guns should have more bloom over time, and overheat easier. The rocket pods should also be cut from 16 to 8 and with a slower reload speed.
The stealth heli also needs a balance with its dual 30mm cannons. The overheat time should be cut in half and splash should be drastically reduced as well.
Bring it in line with the 30mm on the Apache.
Not sure why the BSV-M needed a buff, its already a monster and the best all around gun in the game, just made stronger.
Also dont agree that beacons need to be weakened, theyre already weak against heavy ammo and melee. You're just making it even worse for Breakthrough attacking teams.
Attack already loses more than half the matches because of Rao + Lis and absolutely no cover on most of the maps to move through.
I'm excited about the Jet buff's to actually play those again and see how they perform. Theres been absolutely no reason to play them with the flying tanks that they cant kill and just shred them.
Still, all the helis should have a lower ceiling than the Jet's. Only the Jet's should be able to fly all the way to the top of the skybox.

Also, when nerf OV-P C5 drones.....? It's just ridiculous, especially when you have SOFLAM's, Recoiless, Lis rockets...why do you need the ability to 1 shot every tank in the game with a drone.
If you hav to allow C5 drones, then limit it to 1 or 2 C5 so it cant 1 shot T28's, WIldcats, etc...

@Zhukov211Ironically, the Portal maps have double the vehicles than 128 player maps do. And the Portal maps have way better cover.

@S3SSioN_SoLPortal maps are smaller than 128
player maps. Some are around 50% to 33% the size of the core 128 player, 2042 maps.
Please stop insulting our intelligence with the “vehicles numbers are a problem on portal maps because there aren’t enough vehicles” logic. Previous Battlefield games destroy this premise. Flood Zone for instance has 1 little bird, 1 Huey per team and ZERO jets. The map amazing!
If the 2042 team redid Flood Zone we’d see 2 Hind, 2 Condor, 2 attack helicopters, 4 tanks, numerous Hovercraft and Recon vehicles all spamming 30mm. Let that sink in a moment. It’s absolutely insane to even contemplate how miserable that would be for infantry.
64 player game modes in 2042:
- Half the number of total infantry(so less players with AA, less Rao hacks, less players running Lis)
- maps half the size so it’s easier for aircraft to cover all objectives
- same number of vehicles from 128 player maps = obvious game design imbalance if you deal in the realm of logic and reason.- S3SSioN_SoL4 years agoSeasoned Ace
@Zhukov211Insulting your intelligence? Lmao I did no such thing. It's literally a fact that the BF3, BFBC 2 and 1942 Portal Maps allows more vehicles than the 2042 maps despite being exclusively for Conquest 64.
What you're saying further cements the fact that maps need vehicle specific counts. Are you trying to imply that Flood Zone wouldn't benefit from the other vehicles? Why would it not? That map's skybox would be crazy fun to dogfight in.
Also, in Portal, you can still play Conquest 64 but dial up the player counts to 128 players, so your argument that all AA potential is halved is flawed.
