This will certainly change many of the dynamics of the game and will require some relearning and alterations in tactics.
I like the concept of the thermal scope, but it seems like the Oprah show where you get a thermal scope, and you get a thermal scope, EVERYONE gets a thermal scope!
The use of concealement will effectivley be useless with all weapons having this capability. To further exacerbate the issue, the focus is on fun, not reality, so they are inneffective against smoke. Thats the whole point of having thermal imaging is to defeat this countermeasure.
The one thing I do not see mentioned is the terrible netcode/sync issues where people are well behind cover by a full 2 seconds and they still get killed. Another issue that has bugged me from the start is the fact that people can jump around and dodge left and right without dimished aiming and accuracy. I am out 200m and using a sniper rifle where I have to get a pinpopnt spot to hit the enemey and he jumps up and dodges left and right with a DM7 and kills me in 3 shots. There is no way that is possible in reality. You should have coded a huge bloom if people are not holding steady for precise shots. This is what makes 2042 an arcade kiddie game instead of an all out battlefield.
I am interested in seeing how all these changes alter the overall gameplay, but I seriously doubt the user base is going to start using teamwork, especially since we cannot create/lock/manage squads or teamup and choose which server to join.
