BF veteran since BF1942 feedback:
Scoreboard:
+ overall look is quite good
+ is accessible now during the game
- End of the round should have scoreboard like in previous BF titles (But I heard it's coming with the next patch?)
- Can't see from the scoreboard who is dead when you look as in previous BF games it was marked with skull or different colour
- Ping info is missing from scoreboard would be nice to see it as in previous games
Bug fixes that needs to be fixed ASAP:
1) Stuck in the vehicle bug, sometimes it's quite hard to leave vehicle and have to spam many times to exit vehicle, especially if vehicle is on fire or lot of enemies close to it
2) No guns bug, or main gun not accessible bug
3) revive bug (if person is close to wall or half inside the wall can't be revived with is very annoying)
4) can't jump -bug -fast fix is to press E but it should be fixed
5) Loadout reset bug, for some reason Im forced to use sniper loadout, it should remember the loadout I chose
6) Perf issues + crashes
7) net code issues
Needed features that are missing:
Platoons (this is fhe first BF game that has no clantags, and ppl changing origin name to fix it should not be the correct way)
Squad leader points for squad leader and for the squad following orders -this basic feature has been long time in previous titles and there is no excuse why it's missing.
Squadplay should always be utilized and rewarded
Able to make a new squad and leave squad the same way as in previous BF games -new system is just weird
Request order should change the squad leader if squad leader is not marking the objective in 2 mins.
(Squad leader bonus that BFV had was quite nice, would be nice to have it back but without mortars).
Rush mode:
In some maps defenders spawn too far from the mcoms, it should be fixed.
Arming last mcom in stage: This is the first BF game where attackers lose even they armed last mcoms but attackers tickets goes to zero. Attackers should get the mcom even they run out of tickets if it's not being defused.
Portal servers:
Even I know that with current player base it's quite impossible to run any community servers for BF2042 but we can never lose hope:
Portal servers should have full xp in most cases- this system does not boost ppl playing in portals.
Portal servers are also missing things like VIP/multiple admins, able to change player to other team (I know it's possible with the scripts but it should be automatically there)
Basicly all the functions in BF1 RSP that aren't yet implemented should be available
Server browser: that needs to be added to all modes
Ideas:
Add BF3 CQ maps to official servers as well (or even BC2 as well) at least to 64P CQ.
Official Rush portal mode: add BF3 + BC2 rush maps to rotation with BF2042 maps.
Various things:
Matchmaking after the round should be remove from CQ/BR at least 64P mode.
Chatting to opponent team: This should be enabled at least with the origin friends that are playing in opponent team. Even I know it's removed because of toxic behaviour but this blocked chat to opponent team is not the corrent solution IMO.
Please add possibility to skip begin of the round animations from BF and Breakthrough, they are really annoying. Also those slogans in the end of the round are quite frankly childish.
Also pls remove forced spawn at the begin of the round after those animations.
We need rotation servers for CQ/BR as well, now they are in Rush mode but they are needed for CQ/BR as well.
Joining to same server as a party should be added to 8 (it was being discussed before but I havent seen any info about it lately)
Please consider adding teamswitch function (as it was in BF1 and previous BF games)
Needed: Missing content and maps-IMPORTANT:
I know a lot of guys are waiting for the new maps and guns to the game and they are not playing BF2042 until we will have those, hopefully it's being addressed and we will have more maps (not 1 map only that is planned for the summer update).
We need more INF oriented maps ! (= Infantry maps)
Ppl love content and now they are feeling they are missing it.
I gave feedback about maps before so I won't add them to this response.
