Had the same,.restarting the EA app immediately started updating so repaired the preparing loop

Thanks @SorryDeanEyeBrow. I'm not the only one then. I'm never sure if I'm sat staring tat the progress bar like a mug! In the end only had to wait another 10 mins.
@Dutchie-Mario - how did you do that? (repair)

    @Dutchie-Mario Worth remembering. I worry if I shutdown the app it will dump the download... I'll do that next time. Thanks
